There I was sat miserably waiting for an interview flicking through the Independant when I saw that Tamsin won the critics circle theatre award (or something similarly named) for her role in Much Ado. She won best actor in a Shakespearean play and is the first woman ever to do so! Go her! It made me just a little bit happier... :D

Doesn't she just? I think its the best play I have EVER seen in my life. In fact I believe that in the course of the interview I mentioned I had been to see Much Ado last month, I think that the interviewer was a bit baffled as to why I was mentioning it but she seemed to agree that it was great :blush

yeh go tamsin!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could have went and seen it, but I live in scotland and was not a good time for me to travel down :(

Found an interview about the awards most of it quite boring so ill just post the bit about Tamsin

And Tamsin Greig, receiving the award for Best Shakespearean Performance for Much Ado About Nothing, made the day’s wittiest speech – one in which she thanked us for being “lovely clever stupid people” – and referred to the fact that she only read one review, since it was the one her mother would have read had she been alive as she put great store by Charlie Spencer’s words, and found that he had described her as “not exactly beautiful, a little like Edwina Currie.”
