I just watched the alternative ending and that part made me scream at the TV! I read somewhere that this ending was going to be used if they were going to do a series 3.

The alterniate ending was if it was going to be left open for a third series!!!

i hope it means he isnt too but i'm a bit confused after he talked o carolnes mum he went "thank god i'm dying"

but she had blonde hair so i thought that was his mum :blink:

but i still reckon that's what it would have been if they were to do another series - but there is still hope with the spin off

but i reckon it's the same actors different characters and possibly a different show altogether but with the same writing style and shotting style and stuff like that - maybe similar characters but not the same....

it cant be because she said "look at the bride's mother and thats what youll get in thirty years" but i dunno cud be rong

if she did say that then it could still be his mum

But sadly only some of the same actors, if any... as one of the reasons given for not doing a third series was the problem of getting all the cast together. :(

Cos I can't see Mac pretending to be dying just to marry Caroline. That's a Guy thing to do, not Mac.

i reckon it was just a mix up with the results cos they wouldnt hav done the whole him being told scene if it was not real

Maybe he only learnt that very morning that the results were a mix up and he was keeping it for a surprise for Caroline on their wedding night :)

the alternative ending is definitely better and funnier! they should have just used that even if there wasnt going to be another series cos its not like everything has to end just cos we're not going to see it any more if u get that? cos thats not what happens in reali life is it lol they should all carry on!!

also if they ever did change ther minds about making a third series that wud have been there to keep it open. but stil.......

the spin off its obviously not going to be the same characters and actors cos then is wud be the same!! lol so its either:

1. a spin off with two or three of the same characters so two or three of the actors
2. a spin off with completely different characters but the same actors

i think id prefer the second one actually because i dont want them to ruin gw just in case its crap (which im sure it wont be!!)

Yeah, it could be that. I thought that... but maybe not because, as has been pointed out, he said shortly before that "Thank God I'm dying" so... :unsure: Maybe it was something entirely different that he was going to say to Caroline... but let's imagine it was what we all want it to be. :P

Oh, yes, I'm sure that was Caroline's mum, btw. She was saying that she looked like what Caroline will look like in thirty years as she'd grow up to look like her mum.
