IMO - November 24, 2006 08:56 PM (GMT)
Ohhh errr it clashes with I'm a Celebrity, but I will dragg myself away from watching screaming leeming to watch.

Sally Phillips plays the hippy daughter called Tash ;)

guyoline - November 24, 2006 10:37 PM (GMT)
Ohh i'm sorry PR

it was quite odd   but it was rather good - i liked it :)

IMO - November 25, 2006 02:53 PM (GMT)
Ohhh no I liked it, specially the funeral  And Sally Phillips always looks so much younger with her hair tied back.

Ohh and that actress was in it who was also in Feel The Force and Green Wing as the school teacher/speach therapist.

I think this is one of those comedies that's going to simmer along and get better and better, well I hope it is.

guyoline - November 25, 2006 03:11 PM (GMT)
it was rather funny - the whole knitting thing amused me a lot

and i noticed she was in it and got all happy :D

topics merged together with jam and scones.

I didn't think the second episode was as good as the first, but I did like the bit in church when they started serving coffee before the service had finished

CupboardLady - December 3, 2006 12:04 AM (GMT)
Oops! Thanx Enzo!!

What about Joanna Lumley's character?- those teeth! lol

bingle - December 3, 2006 01:37 AM (GMT)
I liked the bit in the pub with the speech therapist from Green Wing:

Would you like a drink?

ooh I'm not sure... what do you have?

(sometime later, still trying to decide)

what's everyone else having?

Found it highly amusing as I have a friend who behaves exactly like that!!

madelinenancy - December 3, 2006 02:17 PM (GMT)
i like it :) it makes me laugh and is good for quiet friday nites in! plus the old lady that buys tomatores is the sweetest thing ever.

bingle - December 3, 2006 02:21 PM (GMT)
It took me most of the first episode to realise it was Joanna Lumley playing that old lady!!

Lol! I loved that bit- My Mum (who watches it with me) gets annoyed cos I keep pointing and shouting "Rosie" or "Holly/Sarah"

I also love Jennifer Saunder's character as I sometimes sound a bit like that :ph43r: ;)

bingle - December 3, 2006 02:41 PM (GMT)
Love the way she corrects everyone - her son isn't in a pop band, it's a rock band!

guyoline - December 3, 2006 04:12 PM (GMT)
i liked it - i don't find myself laughing out loud much but i do like it - i love the vicar - he just has that "oh god not again" complex about him which i like

i liked the bit with the guy trying to sell the tomato - that was funny :)

IMO - December 3, 2006 11:01 PM (GMT)
I have to say the Vicar is my favorite character so far. But then I am a Vicar's daughter, so maybe I'm biased and it probably explains why I love Vicar of Dibly as well. :angel

trouble - December 7, 2006 08:02 PM (GMT)
this show is sooo good! joanna lumley is brilliant :D

IMO - December 17, 2006 11:41 PM (GMT)
Joanna Lumley definately has one of the better characters to play. I'm still watching this, but am getting a bit fed up with the mussy bits with Tash and her mum. Or maybe it's because everytime I see Tash, I just get the evil Holly in my mind.

CupboardLady - December 17, 2006 11:50 PM (GMT)
I still think of her from Smack the Pony so I don't mind those bits. I want to see more of Dawn French's character as well ad Joanna Lumley's- the car seat thing had me crying! (with laughter- it was funny, not sad.. it's har face.... :ph43r: )

IMO - December 18, 2006 09:13 AM (GMT)
Yes and the "fancy coming dogging later" was good too. Oh and the bit with the Doctor/teacher/smear was funny.

CupboardLady - December 19, 2006 01:28 AM (GMT)
Hehe! I'd forgotten about the smear bit! :D

guyoline - February 5, 2008 07:49 PM (GMT)
just wondered if anyone has been watching it?

If you haven't but think Sally philips is a good actress, or even if you don't watch the latest one on bbc i-player because the wedding in it is so amazing and orrignal and I love it. it's quite a good show once you start watching into it and everything :)

enzotherhino - February 6, 2008 03:29 PM (GMT)
Yeah the wedding was lovely. It was all just nice and gentle comedy.

guyoline - February 6, 2008 05:02 PM (GMT)
it was so cute and I love elvish so that made me happy :D

I would love a unique wedding but i also want a traditional one and I love the "mobile home"
