but he CHANGED FOR HER!! that's all that needs to be said TBH
he did the right thing in the special (even though that doesn't count) but he did it because he loves her to death!
also the deleted scenes in the special show how much he has changed and he was just so in love

and mac, he took her for granted, i'm not doubting that he loved her, but he was a twat when Hollie came back and didn't do the right thing at all, then at the end of s2 he is rude to her again (and i know he was trying to be funny or whatever) but he knew she needed him to say "will you marry me" and instead he was a fool about it.

and then he was told he was dying yes but he still left her and dissapeared for weeks without telling her - I'm sorry but if you were dying wouldnt you tell the person you love most and want to spend as much time with them as possible and not leave them waiting

sorry but I don't think that he tried enough - Guy (once he realised he loved her) changed for her and made every effort to be just hers and earn her love

And I know, that's all true the Guy changing thing. And I think too that Mac just was. He didn't have to make any efforts and I think he was so selfish when he ignored Caro when he heard about his dicease. In the last episode when he left her at the train station... well you know what I mean. :D

BUT when Caro accepted Guy's proposion I think Guy was just showing for Mac. For example the scene when they all are in the canteen and Guy is almost suffocating Caro by kissing her all the time... :rolleyes: So that Mac would defo see that they are now engaged. And that was really mean!

I wrote so many pairings... Boyce/Caro, Guy/Caro/ Guy/Mac, Mac/Holly, Angela/Guy, Caro/Mac

I think the only pairing i never did even if i was tempted was Boyce/Statham...
