Title: Oblivious?
kittyofdoom - October 19, 2006 05:08 PM (GMT)
Since I don't have series two, I watch series 1 A LOT, and I've always found it quite strange, and never really sure if Mac was being kind to Sue by pretending he didn't know she liked him, or if he really didn't know she did, until of course he acts scared in the eight episode when she admits she wants to 'feel him in her mouth' etc. He seems genuinely surprised, so I wondered if he was just THAT oblivious. Maybe he just discounted her behaviour (waving her arse at him, holding on to his hair, going on about him being single all the time, etc.) as just Sue being Sue.
What do you think?

I think he knew, but didn't want to say anything, partly because he didn't want to hurt her feelings and party because he didn't want to inadvertantly encourage her by drawing attention to it. Their interaction at the housewarming party always made me think he knew, but I could be wrong - he did seem surprised by the whole "I want to feel you in my mouth" thing.

I think he knows - he's just avoiding confronting the situation!

I dunno Mac does seem to be a little slow on the uptake of such things doesn't he, and we all know Sue is deranged.
But then again there is the party episode to thik about, the hair, and of course the "Doctor, Doctor Macartney I'm always on your side" speech.........
Maybe he just didn't want to acknowledge it.

I don't think he knew.
The whole rabbit/carrot thing, julian actually didn't know about, did he?
Therefore I guess Mac wasn't supposed to.
I reckon he didn't work it out till the 'i want to feel you' speech.
That was after the 'i#m by your side' bit. wasn't it?
kittyofdoom - October 21, 2006 12:01 AM (GMT)
Yeah, because that's when Mac's complaining about the rota as Caroline and Guy are both scheduled off at the same time.
PigRescuer - October 21, 2006 12:49 PM (GMT)
Oh yesh. I loved that scene.
Its when you know he definitely loves her.
Cos I was never sure about the whole look in Episode Five the firts time around.
EvilGarlicBread - October 21, 2006 01:53 PM (GMT)
i love that scene too. its when he admits it :heart
i think he did know that sue wanted to :shutit :shutit :shutit him at the party, but put it down to general sueness and escaped as soon as possible.
then with the whole 'i want to feel you in my mouth' bit he gets scared because he realises shes actually an insane stalker who wants to do unspeakable things to him.
not like anyone around here... :angel

I think some of us on here (not me.......never me :ph43r: ) are slightly worse than Miss white.............
I love that little "Because, because Guy is a wanker" scene, it's the definition of cuteness!!

Because I don't want to be without the scatterbrained floozy and the arrogant nobhead at the same time.
I don't want them to be off. Together. At the same time.
xpingux - October 21, 2006 06:05 PM (GMT)
I think that it's the whole scene where she asks him to tell her his details becasue she says 'God, I want you. Not just sexually, in every way. I want to wake up next to you, watch you sleep, run my hand over your back and edge forward into regions knowing that my hand could make you feel like no other could'
before the whole 'mouth' thing and his face is like wha?!
is the bit when he realises.
but yeah the same scene lol

Okay Mirs White, come on look at the nice things and forum song threads, I think I've taken it too far now and need to be sectioned.
I adore that scene, it like 'aww he loves her!!'

Yeah, for my thoughts, read EGB's. Bearing in mind Sue is Sue, I think he just thought of her as straaaaaaange and didn't think there was anything to it particularly... until it got really scary. So, basically, no, I don't think he knew.
Mrs White? Surely it'd be Mrs Macartney if she is going to bother with the Mrs.
XTinker_Bellx - October 30, 2006 07:18 PM (GMT)
No because if you remeber in ep 2 Mac goes to her office to talk to her about Verity Lesbora and when he addresses her as 'Miss White' she corrects him and says that she's mrs white now..............
She can't be Mrs Macartney anyway, I beat her to it :P
Little_Simba - November 6, 2006 11:11 PM (GMT)
Well, doesn't it just go something like:
MAC: "Miss White..."
SUE: "Mrs, actually"
I think she corrects him on the title but says nothing about the name.
XTinker_Bellx - November 7, 2006 07:17 PM (GMT)
meh, he corrects himself by saying "Mrs White" and she doesn't stop him so I'm guessing she's just going as that.
