(Felicity came home from school and dropped her bag in the hall. Her phone rang, and it said Ryan Calling.)

Felicity: Oh, go away!

(She hears a thump upstairs. She jumps up the steps to her mother's room, which is slightly ajar. She heard frantic whispering and saw a flash of man and a flash of red hair, struggling to get his shirt on. Backing away from the room, she went to her room and closed the door in shock. She didn't know how long she lay curled up in her bed, ut she heard her father come home, and her Mother saying, "Guy! You're home!")

Guy: Hello, Caroline. You alright?

Caroline: All the better for seeing you.

(She heard them kissing. She felt sick to her core. There was no doubt about it. Her Mother was having an affair.)

(Felicity couldn't sleep that night. So she vowed to herself that she would find out who he was, and..she didn't what she'd do. That's a point. What would she say? She stayed up into the small hours preparing a speech, got ready and as soon as it was light she packed a few sets of clothes. She also left a note.)

You needn't worry about me. I've just gone away for a bit. To look for something. I'll keep in touch with you.

(She left her house and decided to head off to the public records office. After hours and hours of looking, she found nothing. She gave up and decided to try to get his name out of her Mum, who was at work. She entered the hospital, and was immediately pushed past by a Doctor. She did a double take. The same hair, same stance. It was him. She went around the corner,closed her eyes and took a deep breath, when she heard a voice, that made her jump ten feet into the air.)

Martin: Hello? Are You alright?

(She opened her eyes, to see a nervous looking Doctor, with books under his arms, obviously struggling to hold them.)

Felicity: Fine, thanks. If you don't mind me asking you, who are you?

Martin: Dr. Dear..er Martin.

(He went to extend his hand, but dropped his books. She bent down to help him.)

Martin: And who are you?

Felicity: Felicity Secretan.

(Martin stopped what he was doing, and looked up.)

Martin: You're Caroline's daughter.

Felicity: Yep. Oh, do you know a Doctor with, um, like red hair?

Martin: Fraise Blonde. He prefers that. Yep, he's in Thetare. I'll wait with you.

(After waiting with Martin for a while, she gave up, said her goodbyes and left. Once home, she realised, it was just her Mother.)

Felicity: Since when did you care about what I want, or Dad either!

(She stomps up the stairs and slams her door. She sighs deeply, then collapses on her bed, in tears.)

*Next day*

(It's a school day, and as Felicity grabs toast from her Dad's plate and rushes off, she makes a point of just saying goodbye to him. Once at school, a boy in the same school uniform come up to walk with her.)

Felicity: Go away, Ryan.

Ryan: OK, but aren't you being a bit harsh?

Felicity: Not at all. Our relationship is over. Get over it. I sure as hell have.

(She crosses the street in an attempt to get away from him, but he follows her.)

Ryan: Come on, Fe. This relationship can't be over.

Felicty: Hmm. I think it is when I catch my boyfriend, which is you, kissing another girl. Call me old fashioned.

(She starts run down the street, tears burning in her eyes. Making a detour, she turns in a direction away from school. Without knowing it, she arrives at the hospital. She walks inside and addresses the receptionist.)

Felicity: Excuse me, I'm looking for a Dr. Dear?

(At that moment, Martin walks past.)

Felicity: Dr. Dear...er Martin!

(He turns around.)

Martin: Er..Hi.

Felicity: I need to talk to you.

Martin: Sure.

(Fe attempts to talk, but starts to cry and rests her head on Martin's shoulder. Martin hesitates, but eventually puts his arms around her.)

Oh no!

She has, like, the same problems at home and in her own life.

(Felicity and Martin are sat on a park bench, Felicity sobbing into his Doctor's coat. Martin rocks her, trying to calm her.)

Felicity: Sorry, I've snotted all over you.

Martin: Don't worry, worse has been on there. Why don't you tell me what's wrong?

Felicty: Well, my boyfriend...EX-Boyfriend cheated on me, and my Mother is cheating on my dad.

Martin: Caroline? Who with?

Feclity: The red-haired...the fraise-blonde guy.

Martin: Mac?

Felicity: Is that his name?

Martin: Come with me.

(He leads her back into the hospital and to a special staff section, with lots of files.)

Martin: Ah-ha!

(He finds the file he's looking for and hands it to Felicity. It is a birth certificate. Her birth certificate.)

Martin: It's the valid one.

(She looks down it, confused as to why she's given it to him until she sees another name.)

Felicity: Who is Tristian Maccartney and why is he put down as my biolgical father?

Martin: That's because he is. But everyone in this hospital and you know him as Mac.

(Felicity's eyes widen and she drops the file, and she falls backwards ,Martin just about manages to put a chair under her.)

NOTE: That is probabley not Macs real name, but I needed one.

As for why Caroline's married to Guy but had Mac's baby, maybe she was sleeping with them both at the time of Felicity's conception and didn't know who the father of the child was until after its birth? Naughty Caroline, though! And Mac.

(Felicity walked home in a daze and silently walks up the stairs to her room and sits down on her bed. She spent all night just sitting there, looking at the bit of wall when there was a soft knock on the door.)

Caroline: Fe, come out, darling. Just for a bit.

Felicity: Don't you dare talk to me.

(Caroline enters the room catiously.)

Caroline: What is this about?

Felcity: I saw you. I saw that day from school, I saw you with him. How long Mum? How long has it been going on?

(There is no response from Caroline.)

Felicity: (Suddenly shouting) HOW LONG?

(Caroline jumps slightly, and the roles are swapped. For a moment Caroline is the nervous reck of a teenager, and Felicity is the Mother, laying into her.)

Felicity: Do you know what you've done? You have ruined my life. (Her voice breaks.) Everything. I'm always looking around corners expecting to see you with him. Kissing or...

(Felicity collapses into sobs. Caroline attempts to soothe her by stroking her hair but in one swift movement, Felicity grabs Caroline's wrist.)

Felicity: I hate you. Do you understand me? I hate you. You are no Mother to me.

(And with that, Felicity storms out of the house, sobbing. She runs accross the road, not looking. Caroline has followed her to the pavement. Neither of them saw the car. One swift hit, and the sound of Felicity hitting the floor. Caroline, shocked into silence, runs forward to Felicity, and cradles her to her, crying.)
