There are obviously some people on here familiar with Joss Whedon's work, so I was wondering if anyone had seen Firefly or the movie Serenity?
I think both were great and I just can't believe it wasn't popular enough to do a second series, but yet it was popular enough to make a film... how does that work?!

*blows dust off topic* I own both Firefly and Serenity and while I have watched Firefly quite a bit, Serenity is still in it's packaging.. just an issue of time, my friends.

Anyho, I loved Firefly and yh- dnt get the 'no season 2 but yay movie' thing. I like Anora (sp?) but that's only cos she's pretty. lol!

my brother's suddenly become really obssessed with this and claims its the best show in the world. i havn't seen any of it though.

and YET i know some trivia about it!

the dude that made it wanted it to be in widescreen, but fox said "no no, we want it in 16:9 ratio" or whatever the hell it is so the dude was like "f*ck that" so when he shot the pilot, he put the actors on the edge of the screen so that they wouldn't be able to cut it down so fox were pissed.

then when they aired it, they showed episode 2 first, THEN showed episode 1 so people were really confused and didn't really understand it. then the football season or some crap started so they showed it at a really stupid time so not many people watched it and they kept mixing up the episodes and didn't show it in order.

because of all this, they didn't get many veiwers so didn't do a second series. and the dude vowed never to work with fox again.

i apologise for my awful explantion but when he was telling me all this i really couldn't've cared less since i've never watched an episode in my life and hadn't even heard of it until last month.
