My first fanfic. It stars Princess Peach from the Super Mario games. It's not an incredible story so feel free to tell me what I did wrong. Maybe I can make it better.
In the proud Mushroom Kingdom, rests a glorious variety of creatures unfamiliar to us, from the humble, friendly walking fungus that is known as toad to the shy, spherical ghost called boo to the walking turtle-like creature many would call koopa. In this mysterious place, unusual things take place. You can hit a block and it may spew coins from it’s top if nothing else. You could collect a mystical flower and be able to shoot fire from your fingertips. The list of wonderful possibilities in this realm is endless. But not everything in this land is inviting.
This kingdom and it’s inhabitants are constantly threatened by a menacing, evil king known as bowser. Many times, he has tried to take over the beautiful kingdom, but fortunately two brother plumbers protect it. One is rather short and pudgy dressed in a red shirt, hat and overalls. The other is limber and scrawny wearing a green shirt, hat and overalls. While these two heroes may not look very valiant, they have saved the kingdom several times and have fought countless battles against monsters, ghosts, beasts, man-eating plants, invaders from beyond the stars, the koopa king himself, and the occasional strict time limit. They have conquered many adventures, although sometimes they may have had a little help from a green dinosaur.
The ruler of this great place is Princess Peach, a kind and intelligent woman who gains much respect from many residents of the land. On numerous occasions, she has been kidnapped by the evil Bowser but thanks to the Mario Brothers, she would be rescued and taken out of harm’s way. Despite the reoccurring predicaments however, Princess Peach is far from helpless, as she has demonstrated a great deal of her own strength in the fields of sports, racing, celebration and battle. Once she was required to rescue the Mario Brothers herself facing King Bowser and his minions with the help of a talking umbrella.
The following story is about this very princess and how she meets a troubled stranger.
Peach woke up in a cage set in the middle of what looked like a evil lair of some sort. It was similar to Bowser’s lair except it was tidy and well lit and even nicely furnished. If it weren’t for the cage she was in, she would’ve taken a liking to this lovely, little place. The last thing she remembered was strolling along on a walk outside the castle grounds, when suddenly somebody stuck a sack over her and whisked her away. The rest was a blank.
She had a pair of gentle blue eyes to complement her kind, loving nature and a pair of red lips that have come in contact of Mario’s face many a time.
Her streaming yet slightly unruly, sunshine yellow hair, which went down her back, had been a little ruffled and her beautifully garnished pink dress was a slight bit scuffed but other than that, she was fine. The broach on her dress remained intact and she was still wearing her blue earrings.
This had to be one of Bowser’s plans but what was he planning this time, and better yet, where was he? It wasn’t like that filthy reptile to leave her alone without a so-called “friendly chat” first.
It was then that a thought struck her. Maybe it wasn’t Bowser after all. Maybe it was somebody else.
It mattered not at the moment. There was little she could do inside the cage. Well, at least this villain knows how to treat me better having recalled the times when Bowser had tied her up with rope. At least she had some space inside the cage, enough to sit or even lay down if she wanted to. Maybe she would if she were to stay in here all day with nothing to do
Suddenly, somebody came into the room. A stout creature wearing a koopa robe, a koopa hat and a pair of thick glasses slowly walked up to her. In his right hand was a magic wand.
Who are you and why have you kidnapped me?, she asked him through the metal bars.
The creature merely cackled before answering.
“My name is Moggo the Magikoopa. All foolish mortals who cross my path will vow down to my awesome strength, magic, and charming good looks. Stay out of my way or suffer the consequences.”
Peach only offered him a blank stare.
“That was my introduction,” he bragged. “I’ve been working on it all day. Pretty sweet, huh?”
Peach didn’t respond. She was too confused to do so.
“Anyway, I am the servant of the great King Bowser, or… at least I will be once I provide him with the ultimate act of kindness.”
“What act of kindness? What are you going to do with me,” demanded the princess.
“Well, the only thing the great King Bowser truly desires is your love. It says so in his autobiography: The King Koopa Chronicles, which I believe was the best piece of evil written literature I have ever read. It was that very book that inspired me to become evil and unpleasant so that one day I could be at his side when he rules the Mushroom Kingdom and trounces those pesky Mario Brothers.”
“I don’t understand. Why aren’t you one of Bowser’s minions already? It couldn’t possibly be that hard to work for him, could it? ,” Asked the Princess.
“For your information, the great King Bowser is very picky about who he accepts into his great army. Not everybody can get in, you know. It requires a great deal of skill, intellect and nastiness, qualities that I was once lacking in. The fact was, I simply wasn’t skilled enough. At Magikoopa University of Nasty Magic, I had the worst grades of anybody there. For some reason, I couldn’t do the magic right. While the other magikoopas could easily wield destructive magic, all I could do was magically conjure balloons and confetti.”
“I mean, come on. That kind of stuff isn’t destructive or evil, it’s just stupid. I was booted out of the academy after my first week for having spread joy to others. And it was then; I decided to take the ultimate magical challenge.”
“The ultimate magical challenge? ,” asked Peach.
“That’s right. I decided to teach myself the ultimate koopa curse: An Elite High-Level magical technique known as “The Magikoopa Curse of Instant Love”. That’s what you’re here for.”
“You’re going to make me fall in love? With who?”
“Using this newfound curse, I will make you fall in love with the great King Bowser. Then I will present you as a gift to him in which then he will be so overjoyed, he’ll have no choice but to make me his “number one”. By the end of the day, I will be the new Kammy Koopa for I am Moggo the Magikoopa. All foolish mortals who cross my path will vow down to my awesome strength, magic, and charming good looks. Stay out of my way or suffer the consequences.”
“That’s the worst. You shouldn’t go around controlling who people love. Not only is it wrong, but it’s deceitful.”
“Ha, spare me your lectures. Nothing can stop me now,” he shouted as he readied his magic wand and prepared to chant.
“Foolish Princess, expect the worst,
Feel the wrath of my new curse”
Before Princess Peach could respond, she found herself on her knees being overpowered by Moggo’s spell as his words echoed throughout his own lair. This strange sort of magic started to influence her. In midst of being greatly overwhelmed, she struggled to keep herself from being dazed failing to realize at first, an odd wind-like pressure building up in her body all the while.
Once she had finally gotten to her feet, she franticly shook her head and returned to her senses realizing this unusual feeling stirring up within her and growing stronger all the time, as it started to flow down into her legs and through her arms. It was truly baffling for her and it wasn’t until she looked down to find her stomach and hips bellowing outward did she understand what was happening to her.
“I’m blowing up like a balloon!,” the princess shrieked as her entire body jolted up a few inches higher as she continued to expand, her head only inches away from the ceiling of her cage. Before she could do something about her predicament, her arms shot upward as they started to fatten out with the air she was filling up with.
“Please, don’t do this! ,” She pleaded as she glanced downward to find her feet disappearing behind her vast, bulbous belly.
“This wasn’t supposed to happen,” the Magikoopa cried. “You were supposed to fall in love with Bowser… I mean, the great King Bowser. I can’t believe this happened again. All I can make is balloons.”
Losing interest in Moggo’s complaining and returning to her own plight, she took notice as her legs had swollen as well, becoming thick, stubby limbs that refused to support her ever-ballooning highness. Unable to stand up anymore, the poor princess lost her balance before falling forward towards the side of her cage pressing her ballooning front against the iron. Thankfully for the cage bars and her massive belly, she had managed to stay upright as she continued to get bigger and wider as the flow of air building in her had not halted even in the least. She was inflating as much as ever with no signs of stopping.
Her whole body began to take the shape of a giant ball as her colossal belly and surging thighs began to engulf the rest of her, slowly stretching out her puffed-up limbs out of being and smoothing out the rest of her.
She had become much larger and wider to a point where even the cage she was in was running out of room, her sides starting to push into the walls of her cage. In moments, Peach began to fill up the entire space. She moaned as she felt her inflating body being painfully restricted by the metal box she was stuck in. Her pink dress began to bulge out between the metal bars where no more room was allowed and the confines started to creak and bend from the princess inflating from inside it.
“Drat. I knew I should’ve sprung a few extra coins for that bigger cage,” he complained as he stepped back to a safe distance
“It’s too small! Please let me out of here!,” she begged loudly, her face barely poking out from her tightly contained, massive body.
Deciding to listen to her pleas, he reached into the pockets of his robe as he searched anxiously for the key to the princess’s cage. When he finally got hold of it, it fell out of his hands and onto the floor. As he bent over to retrieve the key, he realized that his attempts were too late as the bars of the cage started to bear outward and iron bolts at the edge of the cage began to rattle loose until… Smash! Her ever-growing figure shattered the bondings causing the sides of the cage to collapse and fall to the ground where Peach’s restrained body popped out, now free to grow and she could resume the form of a ballooning sphere once more without interferences. The top quality of her dress managed to hold together perfectly despite containing a giant, inflating princess, tightly cradling every inch of her body, adapting well to it’s wearer.
Her legs and arms had disappeared into her globular body a while ago and with only a pitiful pair of hands and feet to help sustain her, she quickly lost her balance. Peach screamed in peril as her head sailed across the other side of the room as her entire body tilted backwards. She wobbled a little before finally settling, which in return, eased the swollen princess’s screaming as she continued to inflate. When she hadn’t been screaming, her cheeks would fill with air and puff up twice as big as usual which made her face look so silly. Peach tried to look over her gigantic, pink-dressed ball of a body but apart from the ceiling, she couldn’t witness anything, although she could hear Moggo’s bickering at himself.
When Peach had rolled backwards, her royal crown had fallen off of her head and landed uncomfortably close to the ballooning princess where disaster would surly arise if she were to come in to contact with it’s pointy edges. Realizing this quickly, Moggo stopped complaining long enough to rush over to the piece of fine jewelry and pick it up before stepping back to his position, crown in hand.
Meanwhile, Peach started to suffer from a great deal of built-up air from inside of her. The inflation was as frantic as ever but her body had blown up so much, it had refused to budge another inch. In midst of being over inflated, she couldn’t help but imagine what would happen to her if this spell she was under didn’t cease.
“Please… stop this,” she moaned. “I can’t take this anymore.”
“I can’t,” responded Moggo as he dropped her crown. “I don’t know to undo the spell. I don’t know the incantation.”
“Then make one up!,” she yelled having reached her limitations.
Listening to her words once more, he took hold of his magic wand and directed it towards the blimp of a princess where he tried to improvise a new verbal spell.
“Um… Uh… Skin of rubber, Princess… of Air.
Make her… normal again?”
It was the best that Moggo could come up with at the time but certainly didn’t rhyme. There was no way such a silly spell would fix all of this… or so he thought.
“Moggo, it’s working!,” exclaimed Peach.
Moggo looked up from his moment of sulking in astonishment to find the giant balloon that was Princess Peach shrinking as a mighty stream of air shot out of her mouth. His simple little incantation had actually worked. He couldn’t believe it.
Peach sat upward and happily sighed to herself. She was back to normal, and better yet she was whole. A few seconds more and it surely would’ve been too late. She looked over at Moggo who walked up to her holding her crown in his hands.
“Thanks for changing me back, Moggo,” she said gratefully.
“I’m sorry your highness, Please don’t be upset with me,” he begged at he got on his knees and returned her crown. “I didn’t want to hurt you or anything. I simply wanted to belong in a group or club of some sort and I thought this was the best way to do it. I was going to take evil pottery class instead but my fingers were too stubby and my hands couldn’t mold the evil clay, and I couldn’t go to evil band camp because I didn’t know how to play an evil instrument and all that was left was…”
“Moggo?,” interrupted Princess Peach taking back her crown and putting it back on her head, “did you ever think of doing something that wasn’t evil.”
“What do you mean?,” he asked in a confused manner.
“Well, maybe the reason you can’t do evil magic is because you’re not supposed to be evil.”
He sat and pondered it over for a few seconds.
“Whoa. I never thought of that before,” he remarked. “But still, all I can make is balloons and confetti. If I’m not supposed to be evil, what am I supposed to be?”
Peach simply beamed as she came up with an idea.
Later that day, a huge party was held at Peach’s Castle to celebrate the safe return of their beloved princess. Her arrival was a bit short notice and they hadn’t had time to prepare the party decorations for the up-and-coming celebration but thanks to a new friend, it wasn’t a problem.
My name is Moggo the Party Extraordinaire. All foolish mortals who cross my path will be provided with quick and excellent service as I decorate and renovate your party situations. Vow down to my awesomely cheap deals and 50% off Thursdays, or suffer the consequences… of a lackluster party. You’ll find my services in the location mentioned below.
Although the advertising was quite unusual, Moggo the Party Extraordinaire’s Service was a success and at long last, he had found a place where he could belong. Having finally found his talent, he let go of his evil intentions and his need to join the great King Bowser. He couldn’t be happier. He visited Peach’s castle one day, and presented her with a plentiful deal of grateful thanks.
Princess Peach merely replied, “I was happy to help.”
Hehe. It was enterteining. The ending was unusual enough to be enjoyable.
I like the way you did her expansion. Very simple, but effetive. Not something that could work on a longer story, but worked well here.
Btw, welcome back, man.

Yeah, the ending was a little messed up. I couldn't really come up with anything else for it. Thank you for the warm welcome but I think I'm only visiting for now. I was a little confused about what you wrote in the second half of your message though. Are you saying that maybe I should write a longer story? Nevertheless, thank you for your advice.
Well written...though you kept having him say 'vow down to me', as opposed to 'bow down to me'.
Also, Yoshi's not a dinosaur and Bowser's not King Koopa...that was his father. He offed King Koopa and took his throne. :)
Seriously though, it was well written besides those little errors, and it had a refreshingly simple yet effective plot. ^_^
I'd have enjoyed it immensely...if I was interested in that particular style of inflation. -_-
No problem. ^_^
And according to the stories of the Mario games, etc....
Yoshi is a dragon (yes, I know he looks nothing like one), and Bowser is currently the king of the Koopas, but is not King Koopa. His father was King Koopa...whom he killed.
Im always keeping my eyes open for inflation starring either Peach or Daisy.
Pretty entertaining, and Moggo was funny. It has a few errors, like sometimes a character keeps talking but but you put in a space...that was confusing. But overall, cute story.

| Nogard's Jester says that is a great story to come back with, apart from the somewhat confusing end. Yet Nogard's Jester is also confused that Twilight Ark does not speak of Twilight Ark in the third person as Twilight Ark has done so long ago. |
If you're talking about me saying twilight over and over again, then yeah, I stopped that because it was getting a little annoying. Anyway, thanks for telling me about the lousy ending. I agree to that.
