hi ford fans, i'm new to this site an currently don't own a ford. i've bin lookin at a 84 2.8i capri that needs a bit of work. any help?

thanks for the welcome, so ihave a question i'd like to ask the forum, how much would it cost to repair a recaro bucket seat? Or would it be wiser lookin for a good second?

hello and welcome. Some seriously capri mad people on here. Should be able to provide lots of capri advice. As for the seat... my thinking is it'd probably be just as well finding another reasonable one because getting seats retrimmed and stuff in this country isnt the most economical or easy thing. though you never know a bit of searching may turn up someone reasonable

thanks again for the welcome, i might be having a change of heart about the 2.8i, i'm starting to think he's lookin too much. anyone know of any for sale?

how much is it and what's wrong with it? theres some nice capris for sale here but no 2.8is at moment, however put up a wanted ad, we tend to keep a look out for such things anyway

he's lookin 2 grand stg. theres damage to right wing and left door, left wing rusty, missing bits of trim, and the drivers seat.

Welcome along :cheers: , not sure about that 2.8, would have 2 see it to know but if it's just cosmetic trouble, and she tip top order mechanically then 2k not bargain but is't mad money, 2.8's really don't come cheaper unless they really bad, not over here anyway, but keep looking you never know what will turn up :up:

if it drivin spot on then that not the worst money that could be on it, if it's only a dent in the door and maybe a pair of wings to fix but if you dont want hassle maybe spend a little more on one with less work to do. You'll have great fun with a capri though when you find the right one
