Welcome to efi Stephen, looks very nice motor B) i not much of a mechanic, things i fix seem to always get worse before they get better  but sounds to me like your automatic choke is't working, is it the right carbs that are fitted, ie the ones from the 2.0ltr engine ?, my 2.0ltr is 83 and when i start her first thing she ticks over high because the auto choke kicks in, takes about 15mins before it switches off, and ticks over normally,

Cheers thanks. They are bike carbs that are on it. after a while of trying to start it she just ticks over normal. If I charge the Battery she will start afer 2 or 3 turns but the battery doesn drain?? :head:

Ok Lad I really out my depth on this one, i have no idea about bike carbs or how they work, but still think it may be a choke related issue of some kind, maybe someone here knows about bike stuff to or has knowledge of this set up, could shed more light, sorry, if you having too much trouble you could look into fitting standard set up again, might be worth sticking a topic in the Technical room too, someone may see it tere that knows alot more then me
