in the Tokyo Game Show trailer, there's a shot where Tifa answers the phone, and it shows pictures on her desk, but I can't make out who is in them. Any help, ideas?

The picture is so blurry that it's awfully hard to tell. I can make out Cloud and Tifa in the picture, but they're not next to one another. Cloud's in the upper left hand corner, and Tifa's down on the right hand side closer to the camera than Cloud. It looks like Denzel's in the middle at the bottom of the picture, and Marlene's in there, too, although I can't remember where. Some people say that Red XIII is at the top, and some claim to see Vincent in it, too. I've heard other people say that Aerith's in it, but I honestly can't make the picture out too well... it's just way too blurry.

I don't take any stock in that picture. Cloud is standing as far to the left as he can get and still be in the shot. He might even be facing away, I can't really tell.

I had a copy of the pic, but I can't find it now... at any rate, the pic makes little spatial sense to me. It almost looks as though they're different pictures stuck into the same frame.

*Imagines Tifa cutting out a picture of Cloud and pasting it onto a picture of herself with Denzel and Marlene* :lol: LOL!!! Using that picture for evidence is one of the lamest CloTi moves of late.

It looks like that Cloud is in the left (or someone extremely tall), extending out his hand--there's Tifa diagonally across from him--or it looks like she's standing right next to him in the pic, and Marlene in the corner in white. Marlene's looking up towards Tifa, and is Tifa shaking Cloud's hand? *squints at picture* Looks like they're standing in some alley in front of a building...I have no idea...Even if the picture makes no sense to me, I think that's what it is. Maybe Denzel is hiding behind Marlene...but I don't think Denzel is that small. Above Tifa's head looks like some sign and a bell below the sign...I'm not making any sense about this, am I? At first I thought it was a palm tree, lol :P. I was like, "What in the HECK is a palm tree doing there?!"

Ohhh... I was just looking through the images from the Montreal Film Festival at AC.net, and found a clear version of the picture on her desk. I hadn't seen this one before. It does show just Cloud, Tifa, Denzel and Marlene. :( Here's a link to the picture provided at www.adventchildren.net:

Cloud doesn't look exactly happy, though, does he? :lol: I see Cloud's got the cape on his arm, too.

Ye know, if anything argues against Cloud and Tifa living together, this picture does. Since Cloud's got the cape on his arm, that means that he's already got Geostigma.... but Tifa didn't know about it. He's wearing the cape to cover a wound left by Geostigma. The bandages on the Church floor indicate that the wound is seeping blood or something. If they were living together and sleeping together - like the Cloti's suggest - how in the world could Tifa NOT know that he had a gaping wound in his arm?

lol, Cloud seems kinda unhappy :lol: ...i just realized something...Cloud and Denzel kinda bear an amazing resemblence...seriously, i mean look at them @_@

That would so scare me if Denzel was related to Cloud... But all I see in them both is the unhappy expressions. :P Looks like Cloud went back to being the way he was before Aeris came and taught him how to open up. Aww...

I have said all along that using this picture for evidence for the CloTi side is absurd. :rolleyes: Cloud doesn't look happy to be there at all, he is just sort of there in the background, looking like he is merely tolerating having his picture taken. And, yes, it does appear that he has Geostigma! So, I guess he and Tifa aren't as close as the CloTis would like us to think, eh? :rolleyes:

Maybe it's just a photograph Barret took of them or something just for the heck of it. Doesn't mean that they're living together... but the fact that it's on Tifa's desk means that it's something special to her... maybe the closest thing to prove that she and Cloud are, at least, still talking?

But in the picture itself, you could already see Cloud is already distant from them. It's like he just accidentally got there or something when somebody took the picture...

Yeah. It kinda reminds me of how Sephiroth was wanted in the picture that was taken with him, Zack and Tifa in Nibelheim. Sephiroth just did it for the heck of it with some annoyance. That's what I see in how Cloud is there.

That's putting it perfectly... that's exactly how it looks.

Ok, this is a bit random, but I was looking at the wallpaper of Rude and Reno when i noticed something in the background. It's really silly, but I found it....amusing.

And under it it says 'Loveless,' gee, I wonder....[/randomness]

Yeah, I thought that looked like Tifa in the picture, too... but don't tell Clorith. She and others perceive the Loveless play as Cleris evidence. :lol:

Near the the end of the game, Cid talks about seeing that play and you have a choice of saying that you saw it or not. And a lot of fans of both couples like to think it gives proof for their end of the argument. But it really gives no clear answer really. Although I do like how it is explained by Cid. As if it has real true meaning behind it. He usually isn't so discriptive of something. :P

Hmm... I already stared hard enough at it... and I guess it just proves how distant Cloud has become from Tifa... :blink:

A banner for the "Loveless" play was seen over Aerith's head as she walked away in the FMV at the beginning of the game. Later, Cid talked to Cloud about the "Loveless" play on board the Highwind as they make their final approach to the Northern Crater:

Cid "They've been doin' that play every summer since I was a kid." "An' I remember seein' it just once..." "That was when I was in Midgar interviewing to be a pilot." "I had some free time and thought I'd catch the play." "Now, I'm no big fan of the theater or anything." "But this thing put me to sleep, just like I thought it would." "Finally during the last scene, the guy next to me woke me up tellin' me my snorin' was too loud." "So about all I really remember of that play is the end..." "The sister of the lead asks her lover, 'Do you really have to leave'?"

Sorry, but "Loveless" sounds much more ClAeris than CloTi. :huh: It talks about someone returning to someone else, much like Cloud is trying to return to Aerith. When did he ever need to return to Tifa??? :blink:

The play sounds more Cleris to me, too. However, the reason it got brought up was that Forgotten Angel pointed out that the picture for the Loveless play looks like Tifa.

Also, the Cloti's claim that Cloud "returned to Tifa" during the Lifestream Event.

I doubt it is Tifa. There are a lot of dark-haired women with long hair in the world. Why would Tifa's picture be up there? :rolleyes:

I think it's more Cleris too! And Cloud going back to Tifa in the Lifestream is crap, like what FFG said. Then why are the lines almost the same as the Sleeping Forest lines, you tell me.

As for looking like Tifa, I thought so too! Maybe she's acting in it, I don't know.

Anyway, I've always felt that "loveless" was a strong underlying theme in FFVII. In the end, everyone (well, almost) ended up loveless, no? Cloud, Vincent, Elmyra, Barret... I guess everyone except for Cid!
