I have been looking for a Hellsing post, but I haven´t see any in this forums, so I have decided put one ^^.
Hellsing is an anime of Gonzo (japan animation studio) which tells the story of an institution called "Hellsing". It´s a vampire-slayer institution. The leather of this is a woman (hum, at first she seems a guy ^^UU) called Integra. And there is a vampire called Alucard, too (waw, I love him!! *_*). He has a dark past (mmm, Dracula?? :whistle: ) and a desdain for the human race, but he has with Integra a boss/servant relationship... He obeys her in all, like he was doing with her family before... In one mission he finds a police woman whose name is Ceres/Celes/Seras (mmm, all of them are valid ¬¬). Alucard has to kill her for he can do the mission (one of the vampires take her like hostage), but then he offers to her the possibility of be a vampire (drinking his blood...).... So she accepts...

It´s the beginning of the story. The anime has 13 caps and there is a manga with 6 volumes until now.... I like it very much. Alucard and Seras are good and carismatic characters. I like their evolutions into the story. But it isn´t a story like Buffy or Vampire Princess Miyu. It has a lot of violent scenes and the story is darker... It´s more like Vampire Hunter D, for example.... Althought Alucard is unique!! *_*

It´s all... I just want to write this post because I love Hellsing and I want to know your opinions about this anime or his story (things like the "love triangle" between Integra/Alucard/Seras, for example ^^UU)...

This is an excellent Anime! ^_^ I bought the whole series in a boxed set and I think it is just awesome! It can be pretty gory at times, but it is still very well done and Alucard is incredibly cool! B)

OMG I love Vampires! Do you know of any site that talks about him? I´m dying to know him better...

The only bad thing about this anime is that it's TOO SHORT! Awesome stuff. Alucard rules so much. :lol: It's my second favorite anime and knowing me, that says a lot since I don't like much anime. :whistle:

What was the last manga which went out there?? O.O... In Japan goes for number 8 and I can download the number 7 (maybe some people are interested)...

Hellsing Ultimate OVA Series

Anime on DVD has acquired information released by Geneon at the MIP TV trade show in France regarding a couple of new shows that Geneon is involved with or has licensed.

The first is a brand new Hellsing OAV series.

Geneon is listed as the North American and Japanese distributor for the new Hellsing OAV series. According to the one-sheet, the "Hellsing Ultimate OVA Series" is "based on original comic." Reliable information that we have received from industry sources tells us that the series will be much more faithful to the original manga than the TV series. Also of note, while Gonzo's parent company, GDH, is listed as the Asian and European license holder for the OAV, they are not significantly involved in the production of the new series.

The one-sheet lists the episodes as 35 minutes each but does not provide any information on the number of episodes.

WTF??? :blink: What is the difference between a TV series and an OAV?

An OAV has an excuse to be longer than the average 25 minutes, and you're allowed to show more explicit stuff in an OAV than you would a TV series. :P

And speaking of OAV, Christ, is the trailer just awesome. I get to see the strengthening relationship between Integra and Alucard, Seras kicking major ass, Rip and Anderson, and best of all, PIP. :woot: *waves the AlucardxIntegra and PipxSeras flag* My ships are sailing! :fangirl:

... Although are you sure it isn´t a rumour?? :unsure: . I´ve been hearing about a new Hellging OAV since one year or so. There is a trailer with new footage which didn´t appear in the anime, but it was made "specifically" for this trailer, not for a new OAV, like a lot of people began to think...

But... but they're so cute together (yes, the exception where the word actually fits when it comes to Hellsing :lmao: ) and I always laughed at how Pip manages to steal a kiss or two from Seras. :fangirl:

But I don´t think that AlucardxSeras is canon, as AlucardxIntegra isn´t, either. I like the pairing only inside of some fan fics and fan arts. I think Alucard and Seras seem cute together, but there isn´t anything in the manga which make you to think in canon (and yeah, I read the manga).

The anime is other thing. There the creators put some scenes which make you to think in some type of love triangle, like the flashback of Integra when she´s injured or, in the last episode, the scene between Alucard and Seras. But no one of this scenes exist in the manga version, and I don´t think that Hirano will put them in the future (in fact, I thought that Alucard was a little OOC in this scenes of the anime -___-º).

In the manga, I don´t see any pairing like canon. AlucardxIntegra don´t exist like pairing. AlucardxSeras doesn´t exist like pairing. And, in my opinion, PipxSeras doesn´t exist like pairing either. Pip likes Seras, it´s obvious, but does Seras like Pip?.

When Pip dies (TT________TT), he´s protecting Seras. He kiss Seras. And, like I have said, he likes Seras. It´s obvious for Seras and for all of us. His death is cruel. And Seras is the most sensitive character of Hellsing, and the most inocent, too. Seras "loves" all the humanity (the prove is that she doesn´t want to be a vampire and injure the humans). If someone "beloved" for Seras dies in the form like Pip did in front of her eyes, it´s logic that she had this type of reaction. She needed some type of "evolution". And Pip´s death is the perfect ocasion for that. In the anime, Seras has some afection for the captain of her group, too, but she isn´t in love with him. I think this is the type of love that she felt for Pip, too.

At this point in the manga, this are my thoughts about the PipxSeras pairing. It´s only my point of view, after all :P

And for Alucard in the manga... Well, all I can say is that we will have to wait to see how mister Hirano will do the things ^^U. But there is something which caught my atention...

In the dream which Alucard has in the tankoubon number 4, Van Hellsing appears capturing him and saying to him something like "The mark which you did to her doesn´t exist anymore. She won´t belong to you". Could be "she" Mina?? :unsure: ... Because if "she" was Mina (and I think everybody knows that Alucard is Dracula/Vlad Tepes), then we could go saying "good bye" to all posibilities of AlucardxIntegra, AlucardxSeras and AlucardxAnderson...

The trailer was made specifically for Hirano sensei - the OVA was still in production at that time. Rest assured, the OVA will be real. :lol:

As for Alucard x Integra, I've always, always supported them. :huggle: She was the woman - the human - that Alucard looked up and respected greatly, and the only person capable of invoking several reactions from him. You have no idea how much I found it refreshing to see this kind of pairing, the kind where the words 'love' would never be uttered between them, and instead, exist inner struggles of power and endless mind games. He taunts her, but will kill anyone who slanders her name. Her remarks to him were occasionally provoking, but amends with apologies. No matter how far they test each other, they were careful not to cross the line; their relationship is anything but simple - and I liked that. A lot. In the immortal words of Hirano that made AlucardxIntegra fans explode with joy, he is the servant and she is the master - and twisted love like that can be allowed. :lmao: And this, to me, is as branded canon as it could ever get in a violent series like Hellsing.

I'm pretty much focusing on the action aspect of the series (I DIED when Integra made Father Anderson and co. walk her back to the mansion. HA.)

Pip and Seras are people who I thought worked wonderfully together - but I may need to read more into the later chapters (I've got just the raws). Though if you ask me, Pip x Seras is actually more obvious than Alucard x Integra themselves. :lmao:

I see the Alucard and Integra relationship just like that: master and servant. I don´t see anything "romantic" involving the two, as I don´t see any "romance" between Seras and Alucard, either ^^U. Alucard seems to have a "code of honour" which he follows 100%. Doing Integra´s (or Hellsing´s heir) orders without any type od reply is included in his "code of honour". Like he said to Van Hellsing in his dream, he lost, and because of that, he´ll follow him (and his heirs) in the future.

At least I think so ^^

I agree ^^. This manga has action and violence over the other things, and looking only for the "romantic side" there is a lost of your time, in my opinion... And yeah, Anderson and Maxwell are the men (after Alucard, of course ^^UU).

All this talk about Hellsing made me curious so I went out and bought the whole series yesterday... (I just got my financial aid check so I have lots of money to spend!)

The Verdict: WOW!

It wasn't nearly as gory as everyone kept saying, (CSI is a lot worse!) and I fell in love with Alucard by the end of the first episode. (He is so COOL! :woot: ) The show was so good that I am going to buy the manga as soon as I can get someone to give me a ride to the store.

This is now my third favorite anime after Rurouni Kenshin and Trigun. :fangirl:

The latest issue of Anime Insider talks about the new Hellsing OVA. It turns out that they are remaking all of Hellsing, including the content included in the Anime that is out now. :/

I have mixed feelings about all of that, because I absolutely love the Anime.... :ermm:

I really enjoyed the anime,
but I have never read the manga.
I've seen the first episode of the re-make, it's cool and slightly darker than before.
