You haven't played FFX yet, Velvy? It's a wonderful game, and the music is nice also.

Fav songs:

Suteki Da Ne - FFX
1000 Words - FFX-2 (such a lovely piece..)

Fav instrumentals:

Interrupted by Fireworks - FF7
(Romantic and magical)

Aerith's Theme - FF7
(Sad but beautiful... and the church version is slightly more mellow and haunting  )

A Secret Sleeping Under The Sea - FF7
(Scary song... what with Emerald Weapon lurking in the hidden recesses)

Aria Mezza De Catarre - FF6
(Very opera-ish, but sweet and powerful)

Balamb Garden - FF8
(One of the most vivid and beautiful piece EVER... calming, sentimental and very nostalgic)

Waltz For The Moon - FF8
(So cute! A live instrumental version of Eyes on Me... very catchy)

Melodies of Life -- the world map version -- FF9
(Reminds me of a patriotic song in my country called 'Sejahtera Malaysia'. Heck, even some parts are so similar I get confused. But it a lovely piece anyways)

Otherworld - FFX
(Just because it's rare to find a rock-ish piece in FF games...)

I know... I'm not yet done with FF7, and everytime I go to Gelnika, I get freaked out whenever I see Emerald Weapon. Last time I tried to beat him, me thinks he crushed me in four turns. <_<

Is that the one when you fight Braska's Aeon?

I think it was probably at the beginning of the game... in the city of Zanarkand, where the stadium opens and the rock singers (or Blitz players, not sure) were flying around.

I like most of these:

Aeris' Theme (FFVII)
You Can Hear the Cry of the Planet (FFVII)
Flowers Blooming in the Church (FFVII)
Red XIII's Theme (FFVII)
Main World Theme (FFVII)
Chasing the Black Caped Man (FFVII)
Steal the Tiny Bronco (FFVII)
Wutai (FFVII)
Cosmo Canyon (FFVII)
...I don't remember others right now. :cloud:

Lenna's Theme (FFV)
Battle (FFV)
Ancient Library (FFV)
Deap Blue Sea (FFV)
Sealed Away (FFV)
Land Unknown (FFV)
Nostalgia (FFV)
Day Will Come (FFV)
I haven't played FF V but I have listened some midi's and I just love them! :woot:

It's both actually, except the full, lyrical version is at the beginning. A version of it without vocals plays while you're fighting Braska's Final Aeon.

Oh, I see. ^_^ Thanks, MT. :huggle:

Does anyone know the name of the piece that plays while you're in Nibelheim? It's a creepy song, but I like it in all of its haunting glory. ^_^

Aprillis - March 25, 2005 04:43 AM (GMT)
I think it's 'Anxious Heart'. It's the one played when you visit Nibelheim with Aeris, Red XIII and gang.

The piece starts with a note of despair and then comes into a part where the tune becomes slightly lighter, symbolizing hope in a dark, depressing place.

Bloodbath - March 25, 2005 04:08 PM (GMT)
Oh thanks Aprillis! :gift: How do you know this anyway? I listen to the songs, I like them, but I don't know what they're called. How do you find the titles to the pieces?

Aprillis - March 26, 2005 03:33 PM (GMT)
I donno. I listen to the soundtracks and match the songs to the scenes in FFVII.

Oh, I only realized that the Nibelheim tune is called 'Anxious Heart' after many 'trial and error' downloads ^^

Usually I look for midis, they're easier to download and saves a whole lot of trouble searching for that right tune.
