As I've been wandering around in here, I've noticed alot of Tifa and CloTi bashing. Now, I know this's a Cleris forum, but aren't we better than that? Tifa was a GREAT character. We know that Cloud did not love her, but why bash her?
And, saying CloTi's are dumb(while they ARE wrong) is immature. Let's be respectful, and loving. I mean, we're in a PINK forum! Let's not give Cleris....es, a bad image by tossing "Stupid CloTi's are stupid and they're stupid!" around anymore. We're supposed to be mature, logical and just plain nice!
Besides, would Aeris want us bashing her best friend?

I understand what you're saying, Sefie. I like Tifa's character, and even though I don't agree with CloTi, I don't see any need for bashing her. It isn't her fault that some of her fans are a little ...overzealous. ;) I know some of the members do dislike Tifa, and there's nothing wrong with that, and yes, some CloTis are immature and annoying, but not all of them. Sometimes when you're frustrated, it's tough to keep your cool and not start bashing, but I do think it should stay in the Venting threads rather than throughout the forum.

Ahh, my poor little Sefie, things just aren't that simple. Personally I hate no one but other people tend to hate eachother for the silliest of reasons and there really isn't anything we can do about that, as that's the way we humans are. Our opinion is the correct one and everyone else is wrong and god help them if they go against us...that's how most tend to think. Such is life, I just ignore everyone for ignorance is a bliss. Or so they say. :rolleyes:

I agree. Which makes me very curious why in the heck people create hate fanlistings and sites--they could just have a fanlist of something they like instead of something they hated...Gods, isn't anybody in this world tired of all the stupid hatred in this world???

Aerith and Tifa are both wonderful characters--sure, they have their faults, but that's what makes them human and not the evil MARY SUE!!! *stabs Mary Sue/Gary Stue* MWHAHA....

My thoughts exactly! Well, maybe not that last part :P Tifa is just as good as a character as Aeris, despite the fact her and Cloud do not belong together.

I think a lot of the bashing going on is pure frustration; we all deal with so much flamming from the ignorant fans it tends to overshadow the good CloTi people ;)
I try to keep my anti-CloTi comments to a minimum, because I know a lot of friendly and intelligent followers of this pairing, but even I slip up sometimes.

Well, I admit I despise the CloudxTifa thing and those annoying people who support them because they're immature and *insert other bad adjectives to describe them here*... but I have to admit, some of them are reasonably nice too and do not join in the arguments. Those Cloti people, I love... the rest, I hate. :blink: Okay... and maybe if I bash Tifa, I'm bashing myself too. But I don't hate Tifa, please don't get me wrong. ^_^ I love her and Aerith.

Hmm... for the others who are also caught bashing Cloti and Tifa, well... they're just letting out their frustrations in this place, I guess. I'd rather let them be, because just like them, I can have disturbing thoughts at several instances. <_<

well..that is reasonable. We should keep to bashing the cloti theory, instead of Tifa! Cos she is so pretty and nice. I mean she sacrificed her happiness to support cloud in silence, well knowing that there's already a girl in his heart ^_^

In short, yes, there is.
But I don't think anyone here really HATES a Cloti or Tifa, no matter what they say. The word hate gets thrown around too much nowadays. We may dislike someone, but we don't hate them. I mean, would you actually hunt someone down and beat them for being a Cloti or liking Tifa? Is it really that important?
That's their own opinion, let them live in their delusion, and let them enjoy it. I would also advise against going to Cloti websites and flaming. Would we like that if they did that to us?
I'm not saying everyone has to love each other, but if you really can't stand someone, just ignore them.

I have to agree... for those of us who have been flamed to death by Cloti's in Love Triangle debates, gotten hate PM's from them, had our sigs imitated and used against us, and had Cloti's use the reputation bar on forums against us... it gets very frustrating. When I get confronted by that on other forums, I bite my tongue and try to remain civilized. But after continued abuse, it gets difficult to hold your temper.

I don't believe in bashing myself, but when you get in a safe place where other people understand what you've been through and offer support, you let it out. Is it right? No... but isn't it better to vent here than to go to one of their websites and flame in their guestbook? It's almost therapeutic to be able to vent. :lol:

That's why I created the Venting Forum. We all get frustrated in LT debates, and sometimes we gotta vent. So let's just try to keep any insults, bashing, etc. there. :rolleyes:

Agreed... The Venting section of this forum is my favorite place. :lol: I once tolerated CloTi and CloTi fans. However, after being subjected to abuse stacked upon abuse stacked upon abuse by these people, I have no stomach for them anymore. I won't associate with them and would rather not speak with any of them. I have only ever met 1 or 2 DECENT CloTis online. The rest were foul-mouthed, abusive, and ignorant. I try to be polite to them and I try not to bash CloTi on other forums. However, all of the ClAeris on here who have been victimized by hateful and rabid CloTis understand one another. Anastar is right, the CloTi bashing is quite therapeutic after being forced to be nice to them on other forums when they are vomiting their CloTi nonsense everywhere and throwing vicious insults at every ClAeris in sight. So, if you don't want to read anything anti-CloTi, just don't visit the "Venting" section. :lol:

For people who've been flamed, bashed personally or other way by other Cloti Fans may be excused...I, on the other hand, have never experienced it so I don't flame CloTi fans immediately when I see them at hand. I've never had a problem with Tifa, just the way some CloTi fans act, no offense to them!

Ah, just fanfiction stuff--all fanfiction authors (BIG majority, in the least) agree with the last part, simply because only bad fics have Mary Sues...most of the fanfics, do. Ah, it's kind of complicated explanation :P

I guess it's right to let out your angers here to the CloTis, as long as you don't talk about them being total idiots in general. While I support CloudxAeris, many of my friends are CloTis, and I have no problem with it. I can see both couples as working, because as we all know, Nomura never said anything about who the official couple was XD. I just like CloudxAeris for what it is, not because it's canon or non canon or whatever. I find flame wars and LT debates to be useless when neither side is right and cannot disprove the other. None of us are right...yet.^_^ While AC has a good chance of being CloTi, I'll continue to like CloudxAeris for just the...awesomness of the pixelated couple. I think you'd find some pretty strong disagreement here about Square not indicating who the official couple of the game is. It's true that there is no conclusive evidence in FFVII one way or the other. The game can be interpreted either way depending on your view of it. Square has never stated who the official couple is in plain language, but they may as well have. Take a look in our Debate section about the evidence for CloudxAerith vs. evidence against CloudxTifa, especially the thread about Other Games, Merchandise, and Advertising. There's even more pro-Cleris evidence in CoM now. :rolleyes:

Given that Cloud has Geostigma and may very well die, why does that mean that there's a good chance AC will end up Cloti? If Cloud dies, he'll end up with Aerith rather than Tifa. Nomura also said that he was told to stop before contradicting the views of many gamers, which would indicate that AC will probably end up inconclusive rather than going either way. I actually think there's a much better chance that AC will end up Cleris rather than Cloti. ;)

None of the FF7 team or AC team were involved in the production of Itadaki Street, and it's being produced by the Enix branch of Square, which means it was produced by outside contractors rather than by Square itself. In Ehrgeiz, Cloud and Tifa only beat one another up - there was nothing affectonate in their portrayal whatsoever, whereas Cloud and Aerith's interactions in KH and Tactics *can* be interpreted as affectionate.

Cloud and Aerith have been seen or referenced in KH, CoM, Tactics, Parasites Eve, Parasite's Eve 2, and FFIX. Nomura said that the ending of KH may answer questions about Cloud and Aerith's role in FFVII. The game manual in CoM says that Cloud may be trying to remember someone dear to him (Tifa doesn't exist in the world of KH). Sakaguchi said that he attempted to portray Cloud as always having Aerith with him, and that he wanted to portray Cloud as losing his beloved in FFVII. Kitase said that he wanted to use Cloud and Aerith in another sidestory game. Cloud and Aerith have been used in merchandising and advertising. A commercial made for FFVII shows a caption of "Love" over Cloud and Aerith's head. The list goes on and on using outside evidence - it all points to CloudxAerith.

If they don't show Aerith's face, they'll have hatemail coming in from Aerith supporters for the next ten years. Of course they'll show it. The movie's theme is survival, but the theme of FFVII was Life - yet Aerith died. I think there's a good chance that Cloud will die myself, and I see nothing in the trailers to indicate Cloti whatsoever. Cloud's been avoiding Tifa for the last two years. He wants to die rather than live a life with her, which even Tifa acknowledges. He wants to meet Aerith, which Tifa again acknowledges. Cloud looks extremely unhappy in the photo on Tifa's desk. I see very little pointing to Cloti in the trailers.

There's at least a 50-50 chance that Cloud will die. That's 50% in favor of a Cleris ending. If he lives, there's a 50-50 chance of him ending up with Tifa, since he may very well decide to take off on his own like he did before. That's a 25% chance of it ending Cloti. I think we have better odds. ;)

When and where was there a CloudxAerith reference in Parasite Eve? I actually started playing it some time ago and so far the only FF reference I've seen is one chocobo. :rolleyes:

I've never played Parasite's Eve or Parasite's Eve 2, so I'm not positive which is which :lol: - but in one of them, there's a virus on a computer with the password "Cloud". You can find out how to get rid of the virus in a magazine named "Aerith". In the other one, Cloud and Aerith's names are written next to one another on the wall? in the back of a laboratory.

There's an image of Cloud and Aerith are in PE(1) on a wall as well, aren't they? Sitting on a bench or something under the words "Final Fantasy VII"? (They never released it in Europe, and I haven't found the Japanese version yet. And now I don't remember where I read it :lol: )

Also, Aerith is in Itadaki Street, as well. In fact, Cloud was seen walking with Aerith more than once in the trailers, with Tifa standing off to herself. I don't know how deep into the LT this game will go, but I don't guess it matters as it is being produced by the Enix portion of Square-Enix.

What I've always been told is that there's a computer in Parasite's Eve with the password "Cloud" with a virus, and the way to get rid of the virus is found in a magazine named Aerith (or Aeris). Other sites I've checked say nothing about the password "Cloud" on the computer, but I've heard that from several sources.

That's in PE II, Aly. How can I be sure? Because I've played the game. It's fab. :lol: In the Shelter there's a computer that Aya can log onto to find information about mitochondria e.t.c. However, the computer is infected with a virus. On the whiteboard in the computer room someone has written a note about 'Aeris' a computer magazine. In the magazine there's an article about the 'Cloud' antivirus, a decoder, which Aya needs to figure out the password and access the computer. I haven't played PE I, so I'm not sure if there are any Cloud or Aerith references in it or not.

There is nothing in PE I, I'm afraid. Only one chocobo. :(

In the beginning i was a Cloti Fan and now im Both! I dont mind who gets with whom i Love Aeris and Tifa Both. About the hate, i think its not like vicious hate like i usually saw in cloti forums, I most definitley think your not gonna sink to there level because, i think you guys are mature about it no matter wat you guys think!

Well if you read between the lines then yes, there might be few. But there was never anything as obvious as in PE2 for example.

In Final Fantasy IX, there was a soldier and a flower girl who greatly resembled Cloud and Aerith. The soldier ("Pluto Knight VII", as in Final Fantasy VII) declares that he is very lucky at having met such a beautiful flower girl in a destroyed city (here we see an allusion to Midgar, a city destroyed at the end of FFVII). The flower girl remarks, "He's cute, but he isn't exactly Mr. Personality." This statement fits Cloud perfectly, because we all know that he was not the most personable guy in the world. Also, the fact that these two can be found right outside a church in Alexandria hints to Cloud and Aerith, as they were first properly introduced in Aerith's church during FFVII.

Hmmm....I think it just depends. Overall, this site has been much better than other sites I been. I don't think we have stooped low to many of the Cloti levels, like mocking, impersonating, pretending, and the list go on and on. It just get frustrating and tiresome after a while. Overall, I see that this site is more mature than many sites I've visited or the Cloti forums that I decided to take a look at. You can't imagine how much BS it is about Cloriths and mocking on how obessive Cloriths are with the Japanese Culture.
If both sides can reunite in agreement over something, that would be the first step taken. But seeing how it is, it's likely to happen. <_< Peace should be obtain on both sides but its something that both side must yearn for or want. I see that many of us Cloriths want that, but how can we get that if many Cloti doesn't want it. :(

I don't hate the Cloti's because there ideas differ from ours, never have, never will. I've never "hated" them at all actually. I think the only thing that's ruining both the Cloaer and Cloti fandoms are the few "extremists" that constantly berate the other side. I have many friends who are Cloti and we get along fine because we 'agree to disagree'. We don't touch the subject and that's that. I think both the Cloti and Cloaer fans should band together in the idea that Cloud should be happy...and that's that. :D
