I was talking to my friend online and I asked her what her favorite couple in FF7 was other than yaoi..and she said that it was Zack X Aerith. And then I said, "Oh yeah! They do make a cute couple but I go for Cloud X Aerith over all." XD But then she said this..

"Oh yeah, most of my friends love that one too. The only reason I don't perfer it though is because Aerith only saw Zack in Cloud. They might've become... close, I guess, but Aerith even said that she never met the real him."

What do you guys think of this statement?? I think she loved Cloud for Cloud, but when she was around him...didn't he confuse his self with Zack? I mean, he knew his name was Cloud and blah, but his memories and stuff. I want to hear what you think! :ermm:

I've heard this brought up a few times, and I firmly beleive that Aerith really did see Cloud for who he was. Yes, there was a similarity, but Aerith saw Cloud for the person deep within himself. Don't ask me how, but she did.

For example, in the Gondola scene, she said "I'm searching for you." Of course as unknowing as we were in that point in the game, I think that Cloud later on was understanding of himself and getting in touch with that.

Know what I mean? Someone help me out here lol
