I felt I needed a long rant to justify this...

This club's name is probably very misleading...I'm not against any member of the Anti CloTi club. This club is only called Anti Anti CloTi because the only other alternative I can think of is "Pro-CloTi", which is just as inappropriate! :/

Obviously, I'm not a CloTi, and with this club I'm not trying to offend the Anti-CloTi club, its founder or any of its members. I'm not trying to make a club that's directly against yours, and if nobody wants to join this club, then I'm okay with that. And I'm not trying to say that you're wrong, or narrow-minded or anything like that. You are all cool people, and you have the right to express your dislike of any pairing without being harassed for it.

This club is just for people with a slightly different view. :whistle:

There are plenty of pairings out there I can't stand, but it just so happens that C/T isn't one of them. I just wish we could all get along.

Personally, I'm not that fond of the C/T pairing. But I don't hate it either. I used to hate the pairing a lot, but I'm glad that I don't anymore. I have friends who are C/T fans and while I enjoy debating with them now and then, I respect their views a lot. I enjoy Cloud and Tifa's relationship and their scenes together, even if I don't find them overtly romantic. I've seen a few C/T fanarts I liked. I've even seen a Cloud/Tifa shrine that I enjoy visiting, because of the well-thought-out opinions and love of the couple.

To me, even though I don't support it and will always wave the C/A flag, C/T is still a valid pairing, and I can see where a lot of them are coming from, and C/Ters out there have every right to support it (without coming anywhere near here, of course), and I don't think of them as delusional for doing so. I don't agree with that at all. Period.

The main reason I started seriously hating the pairing was because of some of the fans (we all know who they are...), so it's perfectly okay to join this group if you hate the rabid fans. In fact, I still think they're the thing that drags this pairing down the most! :sick:

I guess this club is for anyone here who, like me, doesn't feel totally comfortable joining the Anti-CloTi club. It's for any Clerises who don't hate C/T, any neutrals out there, any open-minded C/T fan who may have joined the board, or anyone who feels at all similar to the way I feel about this.

I understand that a lot of the board members have taken a lot of flak from rabid fans and false neutrals, and probably don't want to see a group like this (and if I've offended anyone, then I'm sorry), and may not feel that it belongs here. But this will stay confined to this one thread, and no one is under any obligation to join. If you don't want to join, or don't like the club, it doesn't make you narrow-minded. This is all about personal preference, anyway, and this club is for those whose personal preference is C/A, but who don't feel badly towards C/T.

I've posted Rule No.5 of the Forum Rules here, just to make sure we stick to them:

Just to clarify, this club is not an endorsement of the Cloud/Tifa pairing (they have their own board for that, lol!); it's just a group for people who are open to the pairing, and don't dislike it. For me, supporting a pairing isn't about being able to prove you're right and the opposition is wrong; it's about loving the couple and believing that they're compatible and would make each other happy. C/T fans think this about Cloud and Tifa. I disagree, but I respect their opinion, and don't hate the pairing (this doesn't make me a hero, this just makes me someone who's okay with C/T, despite personal preference - exactly that).

This club is for anyone who feels the same. ^_^

Hyper-Ballad, this forum was created for the purpose of advocating and endorsing CloudxAerith only. We've created rules for this forum that allow advocacy and endorsements of CloudxAerith to go without challenge. The members of this forum are tired of hearing advocacy of CloudxTifa. The forum members agreed to keep rules in place where those voicing support of CloudxTifa were kept out of the forum for that reason. This club is showing support for the CloudxTifa pairing when it claims that CloudxTifa are a valid couple of the game. Members of this club would be discussing why they enjoy the CloudxTifa pairing as well as why they see the couple as valid. That is advocacy as well as support of the CloudxTifa pairing, which is against the forum rules. We've designed this forum with the express intention that CloudxAerith supporters will have the freedom to advocate the couple they love without being faced with opposing viewpoints. I see this club as being oppositional to the beliefs of the forum members who joined with the intention of endorsing CloudxAerith only. Given that this is a CloudxAerith forum only, I find this club unacceptable. This forum is only for those who wish to express their love for CloudxAerith, not CloudxTifa. I'm sorry, Hyper-Ballad, but this thread is closed.
