Title: Hojo's Fault

I was playing through FFVII again, and began to notice most of the violence and bloodshed is HoJo's fault, think about who lie's to Cloud saying he is a failed copy of Sephiroth Hojo.
Most of the reason's why Sephiroth went insane was because of Hojo he after all injected baby Sephiroth with Jenova cells.

So I kinda felt sorry for Sephiroth, Aerith dieing in my opinion was partly due to Hojo, no Sephiroth clone=Aerith not dieing.

I guess you could think about it that way... but then you could also say that it's Professor Gast's fault since Hojo continued his work. And then if we keep on going it ultimately chains up to Jenova.(Or whatever made Jenova, and whatever made the thing that made Jenova and etc. Lol.)

Inside my box is another box, etc etc.

But yeah - Hojo takes a bulk of the responsibly, because he's the only one we see on-screen being actively "evil." A lot of people (YOU TOO SQUARE) seem to forget that it was Gast who found Jenova, Gast who headed the Jenova project, Gast who wanted to create a Cetra and so Sephiroth was born. Lucrecia, too, has to take some of the blame - no matter how remorseful she felt afterwards, the fact of the matter is that she was quite happy in the beginning to let them inject the cells of a two-thousand year old organism into her womb and her unborn child. Hell, she probably helped come up with a good deal of the procedure.

Yes, Hojo lied to Cloud, but he wasn't the root of Cloud's problems; that would be Cloud. Cloud had lied to himself (even if it was a self-defense mechanism) enough so that anything anyone said by that point would knock him over the edge.

You can't really feel all that sorry for Sephiroth. Sure, he used to be a Nice Guy™, but by the time he kills Aerith, he's so far gone that he's broken out of the Lifestream by sheer will power alone, is channeling himself through Jenova's shape-shifted body (jeez, a lot of fandom forgets that Sephiroth doesn't have a body for most of the game :/) so it's not all down to Jenova's control.

Uh, basically? Hojo wishes he was that badass.

Yeah sorry about that, i kinda forgot about Gast and Lucrecia. but i thought the Sephiroth Clone killed Aerith.
you only really see the real Sephy in flashbacks and at near the end of the game, well thanks anyway.
