I hope this is the right place for this. Has anybody else noticed that Red XIII is hardly shown in the new FFVII games and media.
we did get to see him fight a littel in AC, but he only got one line at the end of the film, also in DoC, Cloud,Cid,Barret,Cait Sith,Tifa and Yuffie are all shown.

But poor Red XIII is left out, I kinda miss the wolf he should get a bit more of the limelight don't you think.

He actually got two lines ^^

I agree with you, Red is a awesome character, but maybe he's a hard character to fit in in the later parts of the storyline? it's sad that he's not in it more... he would be even more kick ass if he was

I personally don't like the spin-offs to FFVII, to me it strays a bit of from the original game, even though Crisis Core seems promising.

HOMGZ THANK JOOO!! :huggle:

Red is one of my favs in FF7!! :fangirl: He's so special and also is the rest of his kind~~ somewhat similar to Aerith's fate isn't it!!? I know he's not too old in the age of a human being but I always picture him a wise old man in human figure. I LOVE Red's song in Cosmo Canyon!!<333 (yeah I self-claim it be Red's song..XD) I remember I always constructed my team with Aerith and him in Disc 1, I changed him to Yuffie in disc2 but I replayed the game just to train him to the besta~~ :lmao: :red:

*back to your topic D:* sorry..

Yeah I do hope he could show up in FF7 series again...>"< I remember reading S-E's interviews about the making of AC, Nomura says it IS not easy to deal with Red's fur in CG design.... maybe that's the reason for the lack of scene?
If there's another series coming up in the future, I rlry hope it could be a "prologue" of FF7. I wanna know more about Cetra history and the full story about Red's race..<33

I wanted a lot more of him too. He was one of my favorites as well.

He DOES get the opening which sets the tone of the movie and it a very important aspect, but I agree that he deserved more. Although AC was technically Cloud's story and Nanaki wasn't very involved with Cloud at that point.

I read that Red has his very own episode in Before Crisis that introduces a female of the same species who apparently is going to be his mate later on.

But yeah, it’s for a cell phone game that hasn’t even released outside of Japan right? So all we have is Red XIII who’s been reduced to Cait Sith’s pedestal.

I love Red XIII, he's a very interesting character, definitely one of my favorites. He has a permanent place in my party whenever I play FFVII. Too bad he only had one line in AC... D:

I believe his mate's name is Dinne?

I really like him, altough i always got a feeling, that he was inspired by Disney's Lion King. I am probably wrong, but this feeling never leaves me.
It's sad that he is left out in new productions...But his fur must be really complicated to animate, so it is probably real reason why we don't get a lot of Red in Compilation.

Square hates furries.

But srsly: difficult to animate, not a big enough fanbase, not very appealing to fangirls, etc, etc.

Aww.. poor Red XIII aka Nanaki ~ hehehe... he's so cute ~ SE should overcome difficulties n put more Red scene if there is a remake of FF VII ^^
