Title: Help!

chaoscontrol - April 23, 2008 09:07 PM (GMT)
I make videos in Windows Movie Maker;
and everytime I publish them, the publishing screws some scenes up because there is a green color cutting off half the scene.
Am I suppose to publish it? or do I do something else to be able to put it on youtube?

I haven't used WMM in a while, so what do you mean by publish?

chaoscontrol - April 23, 2008 09:22 PM (GMT)
On the side it says:

Publish To:
This computer
DVD
Recordable CD
E-mail
Digital Video Camera

When I click publish to computer, it makes a seperate file for the video for when its published so I still have the original video.
But when I publish it, it makes half of some of the clips in the video green.

I dont know if Im suppose to do something else instead of publish?
:ermm:

As far as I know "publish" is correct - the name is different in german, so I hope it'S the same. This sound like one of WMMs many surprises, like it won't work correcly with the footage.
There should be different settings when you try to publish to your computer (concerning size and quality of the video), does it do this on every one? You could try if it looks correct in a different output setting.

I do not know this particular error. If you don't get better help here, I suggest you look (or ask) here

Maybe, the problem is known there. :gift:

Thank you :huggle: I appreciate everyones help, so so much.
Ive just made like three videos Im really proud of,
and they get messed up with that green color ):

Edit: Well, Ive fixed the green image problem, now the video just won't upload into Youtube, PB, Tinypic, or Myspace.

How did you fix it ? Now, I really want to know.

Why won't it upload? Strange file format...?

Glad to know you fixed one of the problems at least. Hope it works out eventually.
