Bashed - And We're Proud! is a club for people who DARE to find evidence to support CloudxAerith, and then get bashed for it. There's many of us who've been flamed and insulted by rabid Cloti's who apparantly think it's easier to attack our credibility with personal insults than with actual evidence of their own.

The club motto is from the Eighth Beatitude, Matthew 5:10:

I'll join. Besides the fun 'debate' over in ACF's Devotion over the authenticity of Maiden over the Planet... I've had some real fun in debates on other forums. Remember, being Clerith means I'm 'ignorant and blind.' Well I suppose I'd have to be blind to miss Tifa's breasts, right?

Anyhow, I'm now a veteran of the LT debate from both sides, which is rather unique I think. Far more often than the Clerith side, Clotis tend to focus on personal insults and vulgar language. Most Clotis are young, it could just be a hormone thing.

I so have to join. I totally wiped the floor with the Clotis I was debating at ACF. Unfortunately they now hate me but that's part of the business I guess. ^_^

Before I knew what it was, I joined Strifeheart, thinking it was just another Advent children forum and wanted to support CxA on there, but quickly got hoarded down and banned and I had to have a friend explain to me why becuase I was to freaking confused.

No, I didn't bash Cleriths back when I was a Cloti. Actually the "allies" who bashed the Cleriths I used to debate with.. they really ticked me off. I'd be having an intelligent, intellectual debate on the subject, and some random moron on "my side" would ruin the whole discussion with something inane kind-of like "ClErItHs r all TARDS" or something slightly more vulgar. Somehow such people seemed more common on the Cloti said than the Clerith side.

I suppose there are some intelligent Clotis who are willing to have civil debates on the subject, but I've encountered precious few of them. Which is unfortunate, because I do enjoy discussing the subject... as long as it doesn't turn into a flame-war.

Of course now I feel rather embarrassed at having defended the Cloti pairing back in the day. As much as I thought I understood the game back then, I really didn't. Now the hypocrisy of scenes like the much-tauted 'promise scene' is so blatantly obvious I wonder how I could have missed it.

Wintercream: I don't know about anyone else, but I used to be a Cloti... though it was a long time ago. Actually I can't remember if anyone was actually using the names "Cloti" and "Clerith/Cleris" back then. I posted at places like FF Citadel, FtLoT, a few others...

Oh then that is probably why I didn't know there was one. When I first saw the name CloTi I was highly confused becuase I was so used to just seeing Clerith. But that was probably becuase I didn't venture out into the vass interwebs very much. I stayed in safe places. >_>;

But your very right, I have yet to find a civil CloTi that won't retort to using personal comments and vulgar comebacks in a debate. I usually don't debate anymore. It gets exhuasting after a while becuase there is a 96% chance that the debate will turn into a flame-war. I also find it hard to understand why most of them don't use proper English, I mean noone will take a person seriously if they type all in 1337. Oh and I remember when I had joined the site under your name would be the word, " n3W r3crUzizzlez" or somthing in that manner and the rules where all listed out vulgary.

Oh, I remember one time a CloTi sent Aly a virus in her email. Thankfully Aly deleted it and that was that. Pretty pathetic trying to ruin someone's computer over a video game pairing, huh? Kinda makes that person seem even more pathetic than the usual rabid.

I took part in the debate since some of the stuff they said about CC really amused me (like Zack possessing Cloud's soul into liking Aerith or something of the sort). :lol: Now, things seem to be pretty calm there (most likely a different thread/discussion than the ones you speak of)... but if you need any help, just call me. : ) But that'll be the only LTD I'll go to, lol.

One time, I was called a "troll" by the Clotis for hanging out with them in ACF's debate thread. LOL. I also remember being told by one that I was annoying and had no wit. Seems I've been called a lot of things, but these two were most amusing. Gosh, so many fond memories of ACF's LTD threads. :lol:

Last September, I bought the book FF7 Anni-Ultimania and started my works on translations ever since then. I didn't care about what CloTis think till one day, one of my friends in Uni class scolded me on the face, saying I'm a show-off and how wrong my translations are (I didn't know she's a CloTi till then D:)..Then this maniac started a series of crazy stuffs to drive me crazy. She printed out some of my translations and consulted our JP professor to see if I'm wrong, and even changed her screen name on MSN to "can't wait to see more from that bitch". :o In one face-to-face debate, I remember she said "you never translate Tifa's pages for you're such a selective readers! I bet you dare not cuz it proves that CloTi is canon!" *inserts scream mode* So I killed myself in doing all Tifa's profile pages afterwards becuz I was damn angry about what she said. And before long I was told that she posted one bashing article in her web-diary, saying "how easy it is to get that bitch busy to death".....that's when I realized I took a bait. :cry:

I have no interests at what's go'n on in other FF7 forums and dun care how CloTi will bash me but in that time, stupid LTD did destroy my friendship with a CloTi friend. And after that, I'd never ever discussed FF7 with my friends. *has no Clerith buddies in RL*:sad: *

I am bashed and they like to do that secretly instead of debating because I am not 100% Japanese, I have mixed culture and I have 100% Japanese friends who are not mixed in culture.
