I'm not sure if this has been brought up but I've been watching some Clerith scenes, and CC scenes and what I've noticed is that there is always constant bantering between Clerith's and Cloti's.

Is anyone else getting sick and tired of that?
I've read some of their arguments and some of them are really stupid, (the evidence of Cloti's) as well as the bashing of Aerith, or Tifa. Even some of the Clerith fans say some really stupid things that makes me feel ashamed of them. =P

Does anyone else hate the war of Clerith's and Cloti's in your favourite FFVII youtube videos?
Has any of you ever participated in one?

I have noticed them but I would never participate in them no matter how much I would like to defend the Clerith side.

I often wonder why some would even care to start arguments in websites like those. I mean, can't they take it out on websites where LTDs can be properly discussed/argued without disturbing the peace in YouTube? :dunno:

It's the same case in deviantArt and any other website where you are free to post your Clerithy content. Once they see an opportunity to lash out on you, they will. It's like the magic word is "COMMENT" and then they'll start.

See, the thing about the LTD on YouTube, the comment can easily be deleted. That's what I like about it. I know that my latest video will be getting some hype because I put Aerith as Cloud's wife. I'm just waiting for it.

But I really don't see the point into turning it into a war just because of a video. I will point out some of the stupid crap that they say and I will correct them, but I will not start anything. If they want to start something with me, they can take it to the PMs. What's the point in ruining a perfectly good video because of the LT?

I agree. Why watch a video with a couple you don't like just so you can start a fight? It's stupid.

That's exactly how I feel too.

I especially hate when extremely well-done FFVII videos have 9843599 comments just debating about the LT. They deserve comments about their astounding work (which is pretty much the point of commenting, anyway), not all this bullshit that has had everyone circling for ages. -__-

watching videos in youtube never fails to amuse me for the simple fact of the comments.. in any video you watch there you'll always have someone making a stupid remark about it and then bam and onslaught of comments either agreeing or arguing against it.. some times the arguments dont even make sense etc.. as for the LTD especially ive seen it loads of time.. even though the person who posts the videos usually states that, this is my point of view etc. people just watch the videos and then say something.. i mean if its written there Clerith video do not watch if you dont like, why the hell would you watch it to flame it, your the one that opened it knowing what it was going to be about.. so yeah i really dont see the point of starting those things there.... comment on the video NOT the LTD if that wasnt the point of the video

I never pay attention to the comments because i know there will be haters in there somewhere, so i simply watch the videos and close the video. I also SOMETIMES see what the author has to say, but sometimes, those have hater notes too ... you cant get away from the drama

I'm with Kaleta. I'll look at the comments, but as soon as I see someone posting some stupid comment, I stop.

I remember a year or two ago, I found some Tifa video, and someone left a comment like "Poor Tifa! Does she get together with Cloud after the movie?" and someone left a reply saying yes. Not knowing any better, I said that she didn't, and the idiot blew up at me or something like that. I never said anything else after that.

Sometimes I feel like trying to find the video again just because it seems like I let them win, but if I do that, then they actually will win. If that made any sense.

Gah i know, i dont know where i saw it but before i started to NOT pay attention to the comments, i saw someone saying that Cloud proposed to tifa because there happens to be the part where tifa slams her hand on the bed in the video. How funny

Yeah, after I watch the videos, I just read the comments to see what people say about it and then I find people arguing about the LT. Sometimes people write some totally untrue things which makes me want to comment back to them but I know if I do then I'll just be reeled into that argument but I don't want that... But then again, I can't stand it when Cloti's have the last say, it's just like how you said it Rose, it feels like they won but I dunno... I still don't comment to anything. -_-;

Yeah I hate letting them have the last say but no matter how many proof I show them they just ignore it and come up with some stupid crap so I just don't reply back anymore cuz it's pointless. Clotis are the most thick headed ppl I know. They lack some serious brain cells.

I agree that there are a number of Clotis who seem to have nothing better to do with their lives than bash Clerith. And it's just pathetic and a waste of their time. However, I think it's unfair to classify all Clotis as this. I'm sure that not all of them are petty like this. It's a few giving all of them a bad name. I know a number of Clotis who, although they do prefer Cloti over Clerith, are still not against Clerith and feel no need to bash the vid. I think that the best solution for handling the rabid Clotis is definitely to ignore them. They won't listen to logic and reason, so perhaps if Cleriths don't join the fight and simply delete or spam Clerith-bashing posts then this will stop being such a big issue.

Sometimes, I feel free to state my point of view ( on Youtube or on a blog ). But I don't force anyone to believe me, just to read and that's it. If someone tends to be stupid or attack me, I don't reply. In real life, I usually avoid useless and childish conflict but I want to state my point of view ( but if someone is really miserable, it is more than just a point of view that I want to give... one day, I saw a video of a german teenager on Youtube, he seemed to go crazy and people commented that with " I hate germans now !" and worst comments... when I saw that, I was mad and I felt the urge to tell them to stop being stupid, that the guy seemed indeed to have issues but by saying those things about germans they were really mean and insulting... :( Sometimes, I wonder what's wrong with some people, * <_< I'm still wondering and the way they act saddens me * ).

About the LT debate, well, I already replied some things on Youtube but if I see a pure Cloti video or a Aerith hater video... I don't post a single comment and I don't watch ( well, not exactly, I saw hilarious french videos with Cloud and Tifa as lovers and I didn't really care, because that was really awesome and funny )...
If someone like something that I don't like in the FF7 pairings but make an awesome video about the entire saga, I'm disturbed but I don't care.
Honestly, I always talking about a video if I like it ( or if I'm really, truly shocked ). There is no point at saying " your work is lousy " at someone. If you don't like it at all, don't make a comment ( except if you have some really good advices, the point isn't to hurt the person, or to force her/him to like what you like ).

Anyway, yes, a pointless fight is always ugly so... if some Cloti annoy you, don't reply. On Youtube, I state my mind about the video and why I like it, why I like what's inside the video, the theme of the video. One time, I commented a beautiful music video about Cloud ( with Aeris and Tifa in it, but more focused on Aeris/Cloud link ) named Lady of my Dream ( :gift: the song is by VAST, it's a truly brilliant video ). I said that I love the artist, the way the video was made and Aeris and Cloud pairing. I offend no one but somebody noted my comment as poor ( but another person corrected that lol :lol: ). I didn't reply anything because it's pointless. I like Clerith, I love that video and I adore VAST songs. If someone is enough stupid to think that his personal opinion is better than mine, it's his problem. While he/she's angry because I like Clerith, I enjoy Clerith and everything is fine :cleris: .

I don't hate CloTi videos on Youtube. I hate duckophile on Youtube.

She really has nothing else to do but go around rating Final Fantasy videos made by Clerith supporters/Aerith lovers, whatever they may be of, with 1 star. :rolleyes: You should see what crap she rates as 5 stars. :giggle:

You don't know how many comments I have to delete from my videos. XP People will just argue about anything and everything - and if it gets to a certain point, I just start deleting like mad. I don't really check up on my YouTube anymore because I'm on a huge AMV hiatus, but, still. D: I don't see why CloTis even watch my videos. .____. Although, I've made some Tifa tributes, and people go "WTFFDJFDJ I THOUGHT YOU WUZ CLERIF HOW COULD YOU" or "IM CLOTI TOO AHAHA YAY".
