I kinda cringed when Zack went all giddy, but other than that, the clips were too short for me to really form a solid opinion. D:

Hmm... I liked his, "I love you, man!" Zach's English VA's was one of my favorites in AC, so I'm not really worried about him here. I thought the English Zack was pretty close to the Japanese performance when he got giddy, but maybe that's just me.

Still the clips don't contain the voice that I'm most worried about presently. If I've got a buttload of listening to an Antonio Banderas/vamp wannabe voice coming out of Gackt's face... that's just gonna be too weird for words. :lmao:

Still, I'm really excited about this game. I'm replaying FFVII at the moment in anticipation, but with the way this game ends I'll probably have to pop FFVII back in and start it from the beginning again after that final cutscene plays.

Zack is really good although he did sound strange when he got "giddy" as Kaldea put it

Also is it just me or does Sephiroth not sound as good as he did in AC... well i guess its only one scene i'm sure once the game comes out they'll all be fine

Strange, because I liked his voice in AC. Maybe it's just because he's younger in that clip.

But I'm more interested in hearing what Cloud's voice will be like, anyway.

It's not that I hate all dubbings but... I really wished they could just leave the original japanese voices and add subtitles. =P Kenichi Suzumara, Takahiro Sakurai, and Maaya Sakamoto is the way to go. <3

I agree, and it's bad. I don't like the clips that I just saw. I just don't like the voices. Sephiroths was just to.. something... scripted maybe. I don't know. It might just be me, but I don't like it. It might just have to rub off on me.

Is it me or does Angeal sound like George Newbern the voice of Sephiroth? :/

AND AERITH. OMFG. She sounds wonderful--so young and alive, though personally I found the way she said "No, I'm Aerith" quite dorky. XD But nevertheless, I'm REALLY impressed. Mena (is it really her?) did very well with her character in this short sweet scene. <3

I don't think Mena is Aerith here, or if she is, she's vastly improved. I still prefer Maaya, though.

I think so too, I love how Cloud and Zack bonded instantly. Their voices made it sound a little... odd, is all.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if it was Mena either! She definitely sounds much, much younger and energetic, and I don't think Mena could've changed that whole much for teenage Aerith. It was too drastically different, actually. But whatever--it was much, much better than I expected, and it matched her character well. At least for this scene. x) I love it.

Next time I replay FFVII, I'll try to match (in my head) Aerith's dialogue with this CC!voice. It'll be fun fersure. ^_^

I kinda like Cissnei's voice, she sounds like an adult. How old is she supposed to be?

I didn't really like her voice. It sounded to... 'airy' to me. Then again, she might just have one of those voices that I just have to get used to.

What made you think that it seemed odd? If you don't mind me asking that is.

I dunno, maybe because I'm just not used to their voices yet.

In the Japanese version, when they both said the Mako Reactor line, their voices seemed kind of down, which made it funny, but here their voices just seemed a little strange to me.

Not that they're bad, I just need to get used to them.

Yeah... Cloud does sound a bit old, but it's better than getting someone like Christopher Lee to do a voice for a 16 year old. I'm not trying to say that he did horribly in KHII, I just didn't think that his voice suited him.

I thought Cloud's voice was great in AC and KHII, where he is older, but with CC he's supposed to sound younger, and HERE at least, he doesn't.

I still love Steve as Cloud, though. :lol:

They didn't have one of him. I wish they did though. I don't like his voice in DoC.

I heard Aerith's new VA is actually Andrea Bowen, but then again I couldn't exactly find any sources linking her to it besides the fact that she voiced the Moogle girl in Advent Children.

In my opinion, if Mena would've gone on to voice Aerith and even if she had improved, I don't think she would've sounded young enough anyway. It's good they've gotten a kid to voice 16-year-old Aerith. :)

I thought it was still pretty good. Not as heartwrenching, but still good. He did better than a lot of other people could possibly do.
