Hi everyone, it has been a long time since I started a topic and hopefully I am putting this in the correct section. Anyway here I go. So last year I got into General Hospital :blush: And have been hooked ever since. Recently there has been a storyline that has many aspects of Cleris in my opinion, but the writers have failed to excute it as well as the creators of FFVII have.

Basically one of the characters, Nicholas has just lost the love of his life. Yet he still sees her and can actually hold conversations. He can hug her as well. It is weird but the reason for this is he has a brain tumor and the area of the brain that is being effected is bringing on these very real halucinations.

Anyway the details may not be important but the fact that he sees her in his mind made me think of how Aeris lives in Cloud's conscience. Nicholas believes that though it is a medically explained, he feels it is still a product of the love he shared with Emily. He also feels responsible for her death because she was killed by someone, he doesn't remember who and feels like he failed to protect her. And it happened right in front of him. Sound familiar. :cleris:

He is having a hard time wanting to hold onto life because he wants to be with her but she encourages him to live.

On a side note it is kinda funny that she has long brown hair, very pretty, and was a nurse studying to be a doctor so she could save lives. Ahem.

I guess I just wanted to share that with you all, it does feel like the writers looked to Cleris as there example.. I heard they wanted this storyline to be really romantic. It doesn't quite get there but I guess once you've seen the original nothing else is going to cut it heehee. It would be great to know if they really did know of Cleris.

I thought the same thing when I realized that Emily had died. And then I saw him talking to her like she was actually there, I had to giggle, but then I thought that it sounded like Clorith to me, so yeah. I jumped for joy when I saw that.

Glad to know that I'm not the only one that thought so. I really hope that this wasn't against the rules though :ermm:

It was sad when she died, me and both of my sister all say its just like Clorith <3
I wish they had a better storyline though.....

Aw man, too bad we don't get General Hospital in the UK, sounds like I would have enjoyed watching that story develop! There's actually a big thread dedicated to pointing out couples that are like Cloud x Aerith, over yonder. Feel free to repost this there, aerisbolt.
