Okay, let's list all the reasons that we hate the idea of CloudxTifa. :devil:

I'll start:

1. Tifa doesn't make Cloud feel good about himself like Aerith did. Aerith encouraged Cloud, looked up to him, and made him smile. Aerith brings out the best in Cloud. Tifa makes Cloud withdraw into himself and hide. I think that's clearly shown in the AC trailers.

And here's another banner for the club:

2. Tifa and Cloud are both WAY too withdrawn to be compatible. There would be no bonding, no sharing, NOTHING that could point the way to a stable ideal relationship that both could achieve with others.

3. If Cloud loved Tifa, why does he move to the Church without telling her where he is? Why doesn't he want to fight Geostigma if he's living a happy life with her? Why doesn't he tell her about Geostigma? Why does he think about Aerith while Tifa's talking to him? I don't see any indication that Cloud's in love with Tifa.

Hmm...reasons...oh ho ho ...there's so many:

4) Tifa doesn't understand Cloud at all. She's more like a hypocrite. She pretends that she does understand Cloud but doesn't really. Now, when Cloud is all down and thinking about dying, you don't nagged at them. You try to help, understand the pain, understand those memories together so that you can learn from it. Unfortunately, Tifa hasn't shown any sign of it and it really ticks me off with her nagging and BSing Cloud like he has to LIVE for her so she can keep a leash on him. Can Cloud say 'wan wan'? NO! :lol:

5)They were never childhood friends in the first place. All that talk by Clotis of " OH, its not Tifa's fault. She was peer pressure by her friends." Uh, really. Because when Cloud was telling her his dreams, she peer pressure him to do the impossible instead of listening to what he had to say and encourage him.

Even (fake) Tifa (me) can do better. It'll be something like this...although I can't remember the correct dialogues:

C: I'm gonna join soldier..........(sorry, I forgot most of his dialogues)
FT: (listens carefully to every word and let Cloud finish)
C:".......So, what do you think (fake) Tifa ?"
FT: Cloud, I think you can do it. It's your dream right, then go for it. You should accomplish your dreams and goals in life.
C: You really think so?
FT: Yeah.
C: What if I don't make it? Would you be disappointed in me, (fake) Tifa?
FT: Why would I be? You give it your best and try your hardest. I would be happy for you, for who you are, not what you have become.......

And I ran out of dialogues..but it be something like that.. :lol:
I would choke on my food if some cloti stole this and try to incorporate that this is what Tifa try to say. Sure she did. :lol:

5. Tifa didn't love Cloud for who he really is. She only got interested in getting him to make the Promise when she found out that he was going to become a SOLDIER. She wasn't even interested in him until then. He didn't even make the Promise willingly, but Tifa always harps on him about keeping it. It wasn't a Promise made from his heart like the Promise he made to Aerith to be her bodyguard.

I'll join! I like Tifa but she's more effective as a tragic character than Cloud's girl anytime! That's what makes her appealing IMO :whistle: .

I'm against the cloti idea, but not the clotis themselves. Some can be nice, some can be fanatic. Cloti sounds like a laundy detorgent brand. What's with all that childhood friend talk? I think that Tifa liked Zack and Aeris liked Cloud. A lot of fans think it's the other way around, but if you pay attention to their personlities, Aeris is a very kind person and a perfect guy for her is someone who accepts her for who she is. Cloud and Aeris have a lot of fun together. Cloud and Aerith are really happy together. Aeris feels relazed around Cloud. Aeris loved Cloud for who he was. Tifa showed interest in him after she met Zack. I have a feeling if Zack had come to the train station Tifa would be tending to him. Aeris likes Cloud for who he is. Aeris feels that Cloud resembles Zack, but likes Cloud for the person he is inside. Aeris and Cloud make a better couple because Aeris accepts Cloud for who he is. Ah, I'm not gonna join right now, I just feel like posting some things in the topic rather then becoming a member.

1. Tifa doesn't understand Cloud. Aerith does.

I HATE it when people say "Omigawd Tifa and Cloud were childhood sweethearts just like how Sora and Kairi are !!" well, whoopie dee, I don't like SoraxKairi anyway. But at least Sora and Kairi are friends, not like how how Cloud & Tifa's relationship were back then. Tifa was a popular girl who had many friends and Cloud was the loner. He probably never even spoke two words to the girl, it's just like any other typical kid crush on a someone that you see from a distance and admire, but never do anything about it.

me too, Tifa gave me a certain feeling she was interested in Zack, and in Cloud because he had something to do with Zack. Zack a replacement??? XD


well, most FF female heroines are white mages&strong willed and they ALL belong to the main FF guy. Which is my very lame reason why it's CxA & NOT something else.

I like how in a lot of FF games the hero is with the white mage and summoner. Then the opther girl gets together with one of the other characters. I like it when the white mage and summoner gets together with the hero. I like it that way. Of course, FFVI was the exception, when the hero got with the strong one. I prefer the white mage and summoner with the main guy plot. Everyone in FF games should hook up with someone. Then everyone would be happy.

Tifa didn't even get interested in Cloud until he said he was going to become a SOLDIER like Zack. That's a pretty shallow reason, if you ask me. She knew nothing about Cloud, yet she gets interested in him when she learns he's going to become a SOLDIER? She watches the newspapers to see if he becomes famous? Even when she asks him to make the Promise, look at what she says:

Tifa "Hey, why don't we make a promise?"
"Umm, if you get really famous and I'm ever in a bind....."
"You come save me, all right?"

IF you become really famous, come rescue me?!? What if he doesn't become famous?!? Don't bother rescuing me unless you get famous first?!? :lmao:

How incredibly shallow... <_<

Yup...and that's why I have really never seen what's so romantic about the well promise.
Of course Tifa matured and all that but still, I snort whenever anyone calls the well promise a "life pact" or some other ridiculous thing like that. If there were any proof at all that Tifa and Cloud are soulmates, the promise isn't one of them. It's basis is shallow.

Heh, that's what Clotis try to claim about Aerith, only, Cloud's the replacement :rolleyes:

Yeah Tifa DID mature, but then she still HAD to remind Cloud of the promise after all those years. If Tifa wasn't part of Cloud's past, being his 'friend' and all, I'd imagine him to treat her as bad as he did with everyone else. He was a little nicer to her , in my opinion, because he felt guilty. I can't even believe Tifa reminded Cloud of it, because if you minus the whole promise thing and other minor stuff, there's nothing to dislike her for.

that's why I have NO idea why the CloTi's didn't notice that. Or maybe, they did, but in their mind, it's just romantic :P
Besides, when i played, I thought Johny (sp) and Tifa had something going on between them. She's amazingly sociable with the boys and there's a chance she might tell all of them to make the same promise with her. Yes, I'm making Tifa look like a bad person =( well, and it's confused me how when she was a little kid, she used to be the "social butterfly" and now years later she's all shy ...

It almost did seem like she and Johnny had something going in Costa del Sol. Plus, that guy who wrote the letter on her desk seemed to have something for her, too. I wouldn't be at all surprised if she made the other guys make the same Promise to her that Cloud forced Cloud into making... except that she wanted someone famous to rescue her.

After Cloud left, she also said that she looked in the papers every day to see if there was anything about him, and if he'd made it into SOLDIER. Well, you only get into the newspapers if you do something special, right? Doesn't that go right along with her statement about wanting him to be famous before she rescues him? <_< It doesn't seem to me that she's really interested in Cloud. She's really interested in someone famous who makes it into SOLDIER. <_<

Aeris is like Terra; ... and... Terra is the heroine and she has not black hair, some people say Tifa is the main character because she has dark hair, like Dagger, Rinoa.... but before FFVII there was FFVI, and V.. and in FFVI the heroine, Terra, has green hair...

And, one question.

Aeris is half human, half Cetra.
Terra half human, half Esper
Rinoa was an human but later she becomes a sorcereress (in the spanish translation they said "a witch" ¬¬)
Garnet half human, half summoner
Yuna half human, half Al Bhed

And... what about the others?

Celes: human
Tifa: human
Quistis: human
Eiko: well, she too was a summoner
Rikku: half Al Bhed..

But the question is.. I'm the only one who consider Aeris like a cetra more than an human, but the others like Terra, Rinoa... do you consider them more human?
