Title: Juno

As you can all see from my new set, I am in love with this movie. It turned out to be a lot better than I thought (I expected it to be Superbad with a pregnant chick). Ellen Page owns the screen. It's cute beyond reason, and I'll probably see it again when I get the chance.

ARGH. I loved this movie to bits. It had me (and everyone else for that matter) cracking up non-stop, and Ellen Page was so good! She went from hilarious to serious seamlessly. <33
Juno is one of my new favorite movies. :fangirl:

Hurray! <333 I agree, Ellen Page was just ah-mazing in this film. Michael Cera was good too, but am I the only one who's getting sick of his "lol i'm an awkward teenager" roles? He's basically been the same character since Arrested Development.
Side note -- I can't stop singing "Anyone Else But You" now, aha.

Omg this movie owned my face off. Right when they started the introduction deaturing her walking about with a huge bottle of Sunny-D and the etchy pictures I was like, "Omg this movie is Love." <33
It made me cry though when the guy (whatever his name was) decided to leave Vanessa, after she had wanted a baby for like the longest time though.
;-;

D: Ugh, yeah, I think his name was Mark. He was so cool. And then he was a jerk. xD
I love how it made you see things like Juno - at first, you think, "Yikes, Vanessa's sort of scary, but Mark's pretty cool." And then, by the end, the roles are entirely reversed!
I loooove Juno. <33

Yeah omg that was wierd. But It felt kinda akward when they got to the part were Mark starting like slow dancing with Juon, I seriously felt somthing was about to happen there.
o.O;;
Lutearina - January 5, 2008 08:31 PM (GMT)
Yeah...I think Mark was just a little bit odd. xD;;
I was kind of like..."What are you thinking, dude!?" D: <

Omg we and my cousin were like:
"Dude he is going to like rape her!!!!11!"
And then we were like:
"OMFG He is in love with her!!111!!"
But then it turned our he was just going to be an ass and leave his wife.
Oh and Bleeker was the smex.
<333
Lutearina - January 6, 2008 02:45 AM (GMT)
HAHA, that's what I thought, too! xD
Bleeker....Had a large nose. xD <3
And he had a funny-ish voice. <33
But he was cute in a dorky way. D:

LOL. At first I thought Juno was going to initiate something between them since she was obviously upset at Bleeker, but I'm glad she called Mark out on being a huge jerkface. It really did seem like he expected them to be all buddy buddy after his divorce. Ew. She's 16. ):
ps - the tic tac scene was adorable.
Wintercream - January 10, 2008 02:01 AM (GMT)
Yeah I figured she would try somthing out with Mark too, but then that would mean he is a Pedophiliac.
Or however you spell it. >_>;
&&yes the tic-tac scene was adorbale!
"Thanks Juno. I'm set with tic-tacs until college."
;DD

This movie was such a pleasant surprise! I went to it mostly because my friends wanted to, but it turned out really great. The dialogue was really sharp, and I laughed the whole movie.
I wasn't totally in love with Juno's character. She was being really callous about having a baby, talking about just getting rid of "the thing." But by the end she redeemed herself by finally being kind to Michael Cera's character and realizing that having a baby is a big deal, even if you give it up for adoption.
Everyone involved in this movie did a great job. Two thumbs up! :yes:

I saw Juno this past weekend and it took me by surprise. :) I didn't think I was gonna like it as much as I did. It was really funny and the music is pretty neat, too.

When the previews'n the like for the movie Juno came out I was really hesitant. It just looked like a really irreverent treatment of teen pregnancy. But it was on in the break room at work the other day and I got to watch a few scenes and I was really surprised but I LIKED it. So last night we rented it and I got to watch the whole thing.
I think it's now one of my favorite movies. Juno's character was so charming and funny, and I loved that the movie had a warm, gooey feel good ending xD
One of my favorite parts was the juxtaposition of Mark and Vanessa's characters. The way it started out was that you were to dislike Vanessa, but Mark was the cool edgy one; by the end of the movie though, Vanessa was the strong stalwart one, and Mark was the one running away from responsibility.
