Naruto has been license by ShoPro the same company that did Inuyasha and Hamtaro. I'm still shocked about this and anxious of how the characters will sound like in english.

Im not that excited for Naruto to be on television this fall, but i am looking forward to the riduculous dubbing they will provide for the show.

but i'm only hoping that it will be better then what we all think it will be like. Ever since Funimation did full metal alchemist, it was nearly ruined. lets hope shopro chooses the right people to dub. although, i've already heard sakura's voice, and shes extremely annoying.

Just watched it, and I agree with Real Emotion, Naruto's voice grates on my nerves. He sounds like a girl with a husky voice... I like Iruka's though. :wub: I wonder whose voice Crispin Freeman did, I loved him as Sieghart in Rave Master. But what's with the name pronunciation? I cringe every time they say 'Naruto'. I understand that a name like that is rather awkward to say, but how could they mess up a name like Sakura? Sometimes it's more relaxing to watch in Japanese and read the subtitles... I can't wait to see more of Neji, Sasuke and Kakashi though. :fangirl:

I saw it and I think it's okay. I really like Iruka's voice but what I don't like is that opening :angry: . Anyway it's hard getting used of them in english :( , oh well only time will tell,right? :lol:

Nothing has really sparked any real interest in Naruto for me, but its still early so I'll just have to wait to see the future episodes. Maybe its because Naruto's voice is so irritating to listen to. He reminds me of the smart ass freshmen in my highschool. <_< (No offence to freshmen intended.)

However, I am very interested in viewing the Japenese version of Naruto. It sounds a whole lot better than the English version from what I've been reading around the net.

I didn't quite like the dubb. The only voices that I actually liked was Ebisu, 3rd Hokage, and Konohamaru's voice, although the originals are always the best but these three had an exception for me.

The american version seem to lack... emotions, doesn't it?

yeah...hmm...why dont we give them some time to improve their voice's?

I hate the dub! Naruto's voice is so annoying!(not to mention Sakura's!) And does anyone else hate how they pronounce "Naruto" ? they take like 5 seconds to say it! :mad:

I've heard the dub and watched the third episode today.

It seems everyone's improving, with the exception of Naruto and Hinata. Which sucks, because I love them both so very much. I love Naruhina about as much as I love Clerith.

I think Naruto's voice actress may have to grow into the voice a bit more. Her fighting and yelling performances are going to be what makes or breaks the deal with me.

As for Hinata, I'm sad, because she sounds rather old and kinda asthmatic.

It's really kinda funny, because my friend posted a fandub we did of a clip from episode 148 and got great reviews for it, and then the dub premiered and our friends raved at how awful/meh/ok the official dub sounded (got lots of mixed reviews).

I'm worried about Shikamaru, because his first lines in episode three were horrid, then got better as the episode went on. He needs to work on keeping consistency with his voice.

I'm disappointed with Kakashi because, while Crispin Freeman did wonderfully as Ebisu, I feel he would have shone brilliantly as Kakashi. I love Dave Wittenberg, he is an excellent actor...but that voice is not Kakashi. If I were to choose for myself, I would have cast Dave as Kabuto. It would be a character he can easily do with the voice he's using, but it would also test him in his ability to make the character sound evil and conniving later on.

I would be completely sold on Iruka if he could just say 'genin', 'jounin' and 'Naruto' correctly. I can forgive the mispronunciation of Naruto, but 'Ge-NEEEEN' is seriously grating my nerves. :no:

Well, I was in Australia so it’ll take some time before Naruto get here (say…months?) so I’ll won’t comment. However, if they give some of my favourite characters bad voices, well, it’s not pretty when I’m mad.

To tell the truth, I wasn't too happy that it got liscenced. I was all "Oh no! They're gonna take out the best parts! T_T" And they did. (They took out the part when Naruto and Sasuke we're kissing! That was FUNNY!) Their's also rumours that Haku is going to be a GIRL! It was funny when Naruto said he was cuter than Sakura XD

Ugghhh, don't get me started on the dubs. They can't pronounce "Naruto" for the life of them. And the horrid acting. Horrid!

THEY TOOK OUT THE SCENE WHICH I PERSONALLY CALLED 'ACCIDENTAL KISS'?! :o Gah, one of my favourite scene...

And for latter, even if Haku's feminine, it may help with younger kids but seems weird for me even if Haku wears pink. Ah well, can't wait for it to EVEN get here and watch it.(Knowing me, probably in Jap with subtitles.)

I might like the second or third arc in the dub for one simple reason--my friend got to audition for five of the roles this morning--and any one of them would be immediately recognized so I'm going to be proud of him no matter what.

They had better cast him...I swear...he'd be perfect for at least two of the five roles if not all of them. :devil:
