In a nutshell, Clotis are morons simply because I am no longer one of them. I remember from around '99 or so, when I was a CloTi, how I felt like I was ten-thousand times more intelligent than those around me.

I would wade into battle on some FF7 forum, hold my own in a good debate with an entire phalanx of reasonable, intelligent Cleris's, and then some rabid CloTi idiot would come barge in, trying to defend my side of the argument, and muck it all up. Usually the moronic CloTi would say something like "Tifa is da shiznit, you can't play ff7 and not want Tifa, so Cloud had to want her. Keep it realz lolz." or something equally idiotic. I would then abandon the debate out of sheer embarrassment that creatures like this were inhabiting my side of the argument. I mean seriously, you have to question your stance when the only people on your side of the debate have IQs roughly equivalent to fungus.

In 2000, I got too busy to debate anymore, and gradually forgot about FF7 entirely. When I played it again more recently, I wanted to smack myself for not noticing how absolutely incredible Aerith was as a character, and how obvious their pairing was. I'm still not exactly sure why I ever debated against it. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I discovered alcohol at roughly the same time I first discovered FF7. *shrug*

Actually, there are quite a few intelligent CloTis - take Rikku and BPM from our forum here. :) Of course, there are some rabids, but not every single one is. There are some pretty crazy rabid Cleriths, too!

But, it's good that you came to some realizations of your own! And your last sentence made me laugh. xD Alcohol + FFVII = CloTi!? :o *scandalous*
