Come now, we MUST have a club for the most kick ass non-Japanese quasi-anime in, like, existence!

For those who don't know, Avatar the Last Airbender is a popular Nickelodeon show that is also being broadcasted in many different countries around the world. It draws on Eastern influences from martial arts to anime to create a fantastic story about one boy who must master all four elements in order to defeat the conquering Fire Nation and restore balance to the world.

It's friggin awesome, mostly because despite its aim towards a younger crowd, it shows its viewers a complicated story in which the characters continue to struggle, grow and change.

Right now, the show is on its third season (or book as they call them). The third season is going to be the last the features the characters we know and love, meaning a whole new cast for the last two. If you aren't already in to Avatar, now would be a great time to surrender yourself - er- get into it!

And yes, fire IS kick ass. I'd be in the Fire Nation just so that I can be close to my Zuko (he's so complicated lol). And Mai does rock. LOVE her weapons. In fact I think her name means 'concealed weapon' or something which is so much win!

My favourite thing about Avatar...that's tough. I love the characters, I love the art, I love the depth of the storyline and I like that every time I watch it, I always laugh. I feel so connected to the characters that what they find funny, I do too.

I think I'd be an Earth bender. Not because of the way any specific characters acts, but I think that's the element I'd use most efficiently ^_^

My favourite character is Toph. Her witty one liners, her attitude towards everything, just everything about her character, simply brilliant.

Toph is awesome. Best addition to the gAang ever (well, *almost* ever - see episode 3x12). I also feel really close to the characters, I'm not sure what I'll do when they switch up for the next season. Can I love the new cast as much as the old? Hm...

Haha, that is an awesome episode, but still...Toph rocks.

SPOILERS FROM 3x12:

Zuko will be an interesting addition, and a pretty cool one too. I like that Toph was the only one willing to give him a chance, but I also didn't like Katara's threat to him at the end of the episode. Sokka showing him his room was funny though.

Katara's threat made me want to totally kick her in the head. Take the stick out of your ass, girl. Like what, people can't make mistakes? If *Aang* was able to forgive him, there's no reason why Katara should still be up on her high horse as though his mistakes were a personal affront to her. Plus, she's presuming that she's powerful enough to take Zuko out. She made her death thread as though she could just kill him whenever she felt like it. But if they both went at it for serious, there's no gaurantee she'd even win that fight. Guh Katara just pisses me off sometimes.
