On one of the screens it says "7 years from Raccoon City".

If Raccoon City means RE2, then it takes place after both Leon(4) and Clair's(CV) games. And I'm guessing that it probably takes place either before or maybe simultaneously with RE5.

Well, I'm looking forward to this movie, but I know it's going to be a while before it comes out. T_T

Well looking at the page with the Japanese writing, it does show a 2008 in there. Maybe next year release date then? That announcement seems to be made in October from the date at the top.

I think she might be. Well she's been in all of the games Leon has been in, so it wouldn't be a surprise if she was in this movie.

And I guess 2008 isn't too long. I was thinking it was going to be AC all over again. Capcom is better when it comes to setting dates and keeping them. =P

Slightly off topic, but I just got around to watching the RE films properly, and I have to wonder, and maybe it's just me, but why the hell did they cast Oded Fehr as Carlos when he looks so much more like Chris Redfield?

I watched the first two RE movies and I was thoroughly disgusted. I refuse to pay any price to see the third. Alice is a joke and the whole twisted story is nothing less than a mockery of the real RE story. I shuddered when I saw the laser rooms in RE4 and Umbrella Chronicles and I REALLY hope they don't go beyond that in the games. Those movies should have never been made. :mad:

They're definitely not a patch on the games, I agree. I found them entertaining; Oded Fehr is eye-candy and Wesker is in Extinction so I had to watch that one, being a Wesker fangirl and all. But eye candy, fangirlism and entertainment factor aside, I think the films might have been better if they'd followed the games' storyline and not invented a Mary-Sue protagonist to take all the screentime away from the characters from the games.

I wasn't too impressed with the Silent Hill movie either. Generally I think films of games are a bad idea, 'cause I haven't seen one yet that captured the depth of the game's plot.

Wesker was only in it about three or so scenes in total. He was the chairman of Umbrella, so basically he was there to tell Dr. Issacs that if he didn't hurry up with his Project Alice research then he'd replace him with someone else. The actor tried to sound threatening in some parts and ended up sounding like RE1 Wesker with all the unnecessary pauses, but I suppose I can forgive him that 'cause it made me want to play RE: DS again. :lol:

That's true. Also, I did like how they used music from the SH2 soundtrack. I guess I can't be too hard on the filmmakers, since it's difficult to condense a full length game's plot down into a 100 minute film. Of course, with RE, they didn't even try to use the game's plot.

I just seen this trailer before coming on here thanks to my sis and wow... When i seen Leon i kinda screamed a little lol It looks awesome totally can't wait. I remember getting all excited when i first heard they were planning a CG RE movie and now that Leon will be in it makes me even more excited :D
