Title: What Do You Want
Description: to change the world?

Okay, talk about what would you do, with your resources, to change the world in a good way. If there's another thread like this, please lock it and post the link here...
So, okay. As of now, I can do absolutely nothing. I am just a student, so I'll probably just study harder and contribute to the world in the future.

I try to protect environment as much as I can.
What do I want? A beautiful, living planet for me and the people I love.
So...
I switch off the light when I go out,
I eat organic wheat, vegetables and fruits (when I can afford it!),
I walk a lot, take a bus or the underground
And so on...
(sorry for spelling mistakes)

If I wasn't such a coward I would stand to change our society. Try my hardest to earn money to educate the public through online, paper and television information. Protest, demand change. I want a better world.
I would join the rest of you in a healthier world, but I don't think that's maintainable without a solid society. Our (American and many European) society exploits the ignorance of the common person to let the corrupt few reap the rewards of a giant economy.
I want a better world for when I raise children, and for my future wife (whoever she may be). I want a healthy planet and society. I want people to learn and loose their apathy. I want change.
To do this with my resources? Go to college, get money, get started.

What do I want... that's easy :D
To have a son and raise him well so that when he grows up he will become a good person and be able to influence others around him.
God knows that this world needs more good people in it.
I try to be a good person as much as I can (Although I don't know whether I'm really a good person or not  ) but I do TRY. So I guess when I do settle down and raise a family, I want my greatest legacy to be raising a good person. Someone who can influence his peers to be good.
I hope that made sense :(

I want to join a program or a cause that supports women empowerment either in the local or global setting.
I want my band to be recognized, I want a new drummer and I need a better lead singer than myself so I can play bass. If not, I would like to help revive a "dead" band and play bass for them.
I want to be as rich as Rufus Shinra without having to marry a man from a Political family or a lawyer.
I want to finally be able to find the one who can make my shadow darker (if you've read Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami, you'll know what I'm talking about. :shifty:)
I want to start my own business but I suck at handling funds. I need a reliable business partner who can handle the money for me and I'll handle all the PR and advertising-related stuff.

First off, Marcus, I totally agree with that, but for some reason I always saw myself having a daughter. Makes perfect sense.
As for the "Kafka on the Shore" Nakata (if I remember his name right) thing: though not my favorite book, I (think I) get what you're saying, and good luck.
And for the other two posts: I admire your ability to think of what you can do now (I assume the original goal of this topic). I think somewhere in high-school health class they told us to make smaller goals, and big ones can only seem a burden when taken head on.

what do I want...... friendship, it's the only thing i find to hold any value whatsoever i could care less about money, material goods. i think people find me kind of weird because i'm sort of a leach to my friends when the truth is i've never really had many friends. it's a lonely life i have but it's getting better i got a few that don't mind my company, and feels great to know that someone actually cares about you.

I'm not sure I want to change it so much as rule it
In all seriousness, I am a businessman and it is my goal to show people that doing business does not require that you be evil, power-hungry or particularly greedy. Ironically one gets a lot more customers that way ;). I imagine that if more people realized this, we'd have a much nicer and more productive society in general.
