Honestly, I wouldn't want Aerith to come back marry Cloud and then having them living on a hill with 5 children and kittens and everything being hunky dory. The thought of that makes me not like them so much :lol: well, not really you know what I mean! it's too perfect. One the reasons I like this pairing so much is because it's tragic they didn't end up together after all. :(

But, ok, I'll play a long. If she DID come back I at least like a hug out of them! A hug that's all I'm asking for! Hopefully in AC it will happen.

Edit: I reread what I wrote and the thought of them living a perfect life with puppies and kitties is so cute I couldn't resist! :lol: . But unrealistic in the FF7 world maybe in Kingdom hearts!

If she came back, I want Cloud and her to live happily ever after in a little house in Wutai XD ... I love Wutai, so Cloud and Aerith should live there, heeh. And I wanna see Cloud and her embracing too, in her church, or some dreamy looking land. Then they'll open many churches, orphanges and schools and be awarded as the kindest people of all land. What m' I saying? Well, I'll love to have a scene with Cloud proposing to Aerith. Must, Must.

What we would love to see and what we think will really happen are two different things. I'd love to see them getting married, and I'd love to see Cloud proposing to Aerith. It's never going to happen in FFVII, but it would still be wonderful to see. Maybe in KH2? :rolleyes:

Does Aerith have to come back to life for a kiss or an embrace to happen, though? If Aerith can touch Cloud in the flower field, then physical interaction is possible between them - even if it's nothing but a dream, I think that Aerith is there in spirit and that she and Cloud can interact. I'm hoping for a kiss or at least an embrace in the flower field. I would love to see it happen. :rolleyes:

I can see things happen like Cloud and Aeris looking into each others eyes for a while, creating a romantic feeling around them. Then him silently stumbling on his words and her giggling and hugging him suddenly. Then he could slowly put his arms around her and hug her back really tight. And then... Hmm... A kiss is unlikely(picture SE looking over their shoulders nervously for rabid Clotis) but an embrace is more probable. And it could be just as romantic if they structured the scene the right way. Like if they focus on his head buried on the crook of her neck and her arms clasping his shoulders real tightly... No smoochies needed, it's all in the way they hold each other.

If anyone's proposing, it would be Aeris. I'd love to see that. Aeris is the straight-forward one of the two afterall. Cloud, bright red in the face as Aeris kneels before him and presents him with a golden band.

If Aerith came back... I agree with Lady Anime. If S-E pulls it off beautifully, then I'd be crying and screaming my love for Cleris (on the other side, Clotis would be screaming in anguish and proclaiming some weird evidence that Cloud did not kiss/hug her). If S-E brings Aerith back in a sappy manner (but they still have their kiss/embrace)... I would mind a little bit, truthfully, because all of the angst build-up in FFVII and AC would be swept away, but I wouldn't care!!! :woot:


Hmmm... I think it would look nice for Cloud to be trying to tell Aerith what he feels for her, and then Aerith giggling at his funny attempts. Then she would spontaneously hug him, and whisper to him that she loved him. After a few seconds of stunned silence, Cloud would whisper that he loved her.

I honestly don't think she'll be revived in the movie. I think Square already resurrected her for us in Kingdom Hearts, and I expect that will be her only resurrection.

However, that's not to say I'm against her resurrection. If any company could pull it off in a believable manner, Square could. I'm willing to wait and see how they do it and why they do it before I make any judgement about whether or not it was cheesy. I agree with Lady Anime - if Square did it the right way, it could be just as emotional as her death.

Cheesy or not, I'd love to see Aerith resurrected. I honestly don't expect it to happen in AC, though. :(

Maybe it's just a guy thing, but honestly I don't think about these sort of things. For me, though, it's as much an "I prefer subtlety" thing as much as it is a "masculine" thing. Not that I think it's at all bad that other people do think about those things (if you enjoy it, knock yourselves out! lol) just throwing my two cents in, so to speak.


However, on that note, I'm gonna completely blow the relevance of the above statement and ask what I think is an amusing question - who would make the first move?

I would say Aeris, undoubtedly. She seems bold and self-assured enough to do such a thing. Cloud would never have the guts in a million years. Everyone here seems to assume that C&A's first romantic encounter would be this beautiful thing, but I imagine it'd probably involve Cloud shaking like a leaf on a tree, dry-lipped, stammering, and being unbelievably bashful and awkward - with Aeris having a chuckle at his nervousness and coaching him along.

Thoughts? Hahaha...

He's brave and strong on the battlefield, not when it comes to romance. ;) Aerith would probably make the first move, although I can't imagine her chuckling at Cloud's expense. Oh sure, of course Aerith would be understanding, reassuring, and patient with Cloud. But, it also seems to be in Aerith's character to be affectionately exasperated and amused by Cloud's shyness. I didn't mean that she'd be an insensitive jerk, just that she couldn't help but be somewhat amused. The playful coaxer - that seems to be her role with Cloud. She'd undoubtedly be giggling because she'd find his shyness terribly cute and endearing.

But then, that would probably make him even more shy.

If Aeris came back I would want to see cloud turn around hearing Aeris call him then see her running at him he opens his mouth in disbelive as the two run for eachother and conjoin. Then Cloud is holding Aeris and she looks up into his eyes and they both proclaim their love for eachother. Then I want to see Cloud lift her chin and kiss her. A long kiss where they both feel like they are being lifted in the clouds. It would be so sweet. :cleris:

I think that Cloud would break down and cry tears of joy. About going to Wutai, forget about it. I think they would live at the Forgotten Capital or Aeris home of Icicle Inn. Someone said that Cloud and Aeris would have a few rough times together, but I think that they get through them no sweat. Cloud and Aeris will always be my favorite couple and nothing is going to change that!

I'm imagining a fast-forward to happy married life... Aeris making Cloud cut the grass with Omnislash, and then she waters the squash with Great Gospel (afterwards, of course, or the grass wouldn't get cut...it would be wet and invulnerable)

Then there's the kids: the cutest widdle 50% Cetra, 25% Sephiroth/Jenova badness, 25% Human (is that what they are anyway?) ever to walk the Midgar alleys. Good luck with that hair, though, Mom! Up, down, and sideways...

I can't even imagine what would happen. The reason I love the pairing so much was because it was a tragic romance (hence why Lenne/Shuyin is my second favorite FF couple).

Well let's see..

They would live together in Midgar, Cloud would leave for days at a time, while Aerith would just smile and wave goodbye. She'd pick flowers for him for when he came back. Then the events of Advent Children would unfold, and she would discover the Lifestream under the church, but that's when Loz would break in, fight scene, blah blah... (she would take Tifa's place in AC.. haha.)

.. and she'd end up being killed by Sephiroth in the end anyway.

...if Aerith hadn't died back in FFVII, I don't think those same events from AC would have applied, ne? ^^;

As we see in Kingdom Hearts, especially Kingdom Hearts 2, Cloud makes a point of not letting Aerith get anywhere near Sephiroth. One does not let the love of one's life anywhere near insane homicidal psychopaths.

Also, Nomura's not THAT suicidal. If he had her come back and killed her again, we'd find him dead in his sleep.
