Ok I know we have the what if Cloud were a girl and Aerith and Tifa were boys?

Well this time let's just make Cloud a girl and leave everyone else's gender the same. :)

So how would the relationships have been different?

Would FFVII have been a lesbian love triangle? XD

What would femCloud's relationship with Zack have been like?

What would femCloud's relationship with Tifa have been like? With Aerith? With Barret? With Yuffie? With Sephiroth :o?

What would have been her motives for joining Soldier?

What about her childhood in Nieblhiem?

What about the promise scene with Tifa?



I guess I would see femCloud as being the awkward girl in Nieblehiem. She doesn't have any friends, but she wants to be noticed by Tifa's group so she could one day be in a group of friends.

She tries to join Soldier because she feels that will get her noticed. At the promise she tells Tifa what she's going to do, and Tifa jokes that if she's ever in trouble that she should come and rescue her. FemCloud takes this seriously.

I rather her relationship with Zack be a brother/sister relationship, with maybe femCloud having a slight crush.

Upon going to Midgar and joining Avalanch, she meets up with Tifa again and has the whole delusion that she was Tifa's childhood friend in the past, but can't help feeling awkward around her.

She meets Aerith in the church, and Aerith becomes her first real friend and the only person she really feels comfortable around.

I'm still trying to decide what her relationship would have been like with Sephiroth...

Oh and the Clerith and Cloti debates would become "Aerith was femCloud's BFF!" No! Tifa was femCloud's bff! They were childhood friends!" XD

If Cloud would've been a girl FFVII would have been and RPG Nanoha.

I don't think femCloud would've joined SOLDIER, though. (Are there any female SOLDIER characters that we know of?) And this in itself may drastically change FFVII. The SOLDIER institution in the game seems very masculine-oriented. The only "idols" from SOLDIER are Sephiroth, Angeal and Genesis (and later Zack :lol: ). And considering how young Tifa talks about being saved like a princess, I have a feeling the FFVII world is generally quite traditional with its expectations of males and females.

(And that makes Aerith's independence, Tifa's martial arts training and Yuffie's ninja patriotism all the more striking, but that's going off-topic.)

Significantly, the Turks have lots of female members. But I don't think femCloud would've had the correct work ethic to make it to the Turks. (And she's too damned moral, however emo she gets.)

With such traditional expectations of females (i.e. the guys go out and work while the girls wait for them in the back-water village), would femCloud have left Nibelheim at all? I suppose, if she had been more tomboyish. Alternatively, she could serve as the guide for Zack and Sephiroth when they go to Nibelheim. She would've been left alone for most of her childhood, and perhaps spent that time exploring the mountains and becoming a real expert. And Tifa's dad would've been more than happy to let the outcast lead the SOLDIERs into the mountains rather than his precious daughter.

Hojo kept all the living residents as experimental subjects, IIRC, so that solves femCloud's five-year experiment. How did she survive? Eh, let's say she's just special that way. :P

She reaches Midgar and... oh god. She meets Tifa and Aerith, and they form YuRiPa ver. 2. fkg;dkflkgs (I'm sorry, I'll think about this more thoroughly later XD)

Would there have been a LTD? Nope. Nope nope nope. Not because it would've been yuri and people would've been omgyuck, but because yaoi/yuri supporters seem to care less about "canonity" and all that crap.

Rosso and Shelke were Tsviets, and they were women, no?

Still, though, the world-wide famous SOLDIERs are all guys. At least on the outside, it looks like a no-girls-allowed zone. I suppose, being the main character and all, femCloud would be special enough to want to join anyway.

Yeah, true, I guess. My own experience has been that yuri/yaoi-supporters just don't care, but there's always the people you don't meet... :shifty:

There is actually a doujinshi that turned the entire cast into their opposite genders.... but it's an adult-only story. :blush: It basically delves into the "what if Cloud is a girl, Aerith is a boy, Sephiroth is a girl, Tifa is a boy, yadda, yadda, yadda...what could have happened, how things would have turned out, etc."
Interesting illustrations but not recommended for the squeamish and for Mary Sue-haters. :P

Furthermore, from what I can imagine, if Cloud turned into a woman and the rest of the cast remained the same, there would be more SephirothxCloud, CloudxZack, CloudxRufus, Cloudxevery single male you can think of. And Yuri.

And considering that Tifa or Aerith didn't turn gay on the female Cloud, who would their "love interests" be? Aerith might even get angry at Cloud for "stealing" Zack or something like that :dunno: As for Tifa... more controversies arise!

But that would make a funny yet interesting fic, though. I wonder if anyone can give a shot at that. :lol:

...and it fades out, and when it fades back in, the location is in Aeris' house showing two separate rooms in birds eye view. One with Cloud laying down in bed in one room and Aeris(Who's older, duh) sitting on her bed in the other room.

Of course it's Cloud's mom's words,(Of course the creators of the game made her say it though. =P ) and doesn't give solid rock-hard undeniable proof. :rolleyes:

I didn't mean Cloud would turn into an ero-game main female character who goes around with every single bishouen in the game (I know this because... you know... "The moar you know"). Cloud was really close with Zack, and admired him. Zack was close with Cloud, and cared for him. Now, take Cloud and make him a girl - hell, he already looks quite girly, so BINGO! Eventually Zack would fall for the shy girl that tries hard, and that he keeps on protecting.

Aerith and Tifa would probably take the place of Cloud's friends. They give her tips about boys, and encourage her to achieve her goals. Unless Squaresoft would have wanted to go for the fan-service and made them love interests. We had a date with Barrett, and the whole deal with Dio in the real one, no?

Choice 1: Barret's snoring kept me up all night
Choice 2: Next to you? How could I!

For some reason, when I think of FemCloud I get the image of Lightning from XIII...

well I think we may be able to find that officially by SE, I mean the heroine of FF13 its a female version of cloud.

I think femCloud and Aerith would make great friends. Just think about how they are normally. Tifa on the other hand, I don't know. I'm not trying to sound mean at all, but with Tifa's past to normal Cloud, then we might have problems. Then again, who knows? They might end up being friends.
A friendship with Barret? I don't know about that either. Same goes for Yuffie and Sephy. I can see femCloud jumping to save Aerith before she died though. Aerith needs more positive attention than what she has now! ^_^

With some people out there now-a-days, I can see a LLT starting if this were true.

Maybe she would want to be different. I mean, you have Tifa, who was in the eye of every male in the village. So it's either be like that, stay in the house, or find some way to leave that boring lifestyle behind. If femCloud is anything like the normal Cloud, then she would find a way to be in SOLDIER.

I think if Cloud was a girl, she would be trying to fit into Tifa's group in Nil. (like already said) but for some reason, i cant help but think Cloud and Tifa would be rivals in a way?

But about the whole LTD, i dont think its wise to have one if the Main characters were all girls xD
