I was just reading around out of boredom and came across an old update on http://before-crisis.net

Supposedly Crisis Core has a TOP SECRET scene that is supposed to once and for all clarify the relationship that Zack and Aerith shared.

Does anyone know anything about this?

New Crisis Core Jump Article
Some photographs of a Crisis Core article from next week's Jump magazine have surfaced thanks to poster #624 of the Crisis Core 2ch thread. This is a rather brief article, focusing on Zack and Aerith. It includes three new screenshots, as well as CG renders of Aerith and adult Zack.

There is information on a "Stroll through the Slums event", where Zack and Aerith go on a walk, which is supposedly a "top secret hidden event", and the article states that the past between the two of them will finally be made clear.

Hmm, that post was made in July, right? I think the scene being talked about is when Zack suggests that Aerith sells flowers to make money and helps her build a wagon for it.

I'm not sure how "top secret" it is since the two "player summaries" of the game I've read both got the scene. It sounds really sweet. Apparently it came complete with hammer/sawing sound effects, like something outta a Harvest Moon game. :lol:

Are they saying that Zack is merely the guy who suggests Aeris should make a wagon flower shop?

I guess they're trying to show that Zack was responsible for something that made up a large part of Aerith's identity: her selling flowers. And IIRC, aerithlove translated one of the SMS messages Zack gets, in which Aerith refused to have the wagon fixed by anyone other than Zack. (It'd be pretty cool if someone replayed FFVII and found a broken wagon in the background of the church...)

But honestly, unless there's anything more to do the scene that wasn't mentioned in the summaries, I think it just got hyped up to build anticipation for the game.

I swear I remember a wagon during the scene where Cloud was throwing barrels on the soldiers.

And an image of Cloud in that scene being similar to that old school Donkey Kong game just flashed in my head. Pretty funny image.

Talking about Aerith in Crisis Core,i want to say something you MAY haven't heard before.Well,Aerith's famous ribbon was a gift from Zack in the memory of their meeting!Nice guy,isn't he?Though...i much more like Cloud! :cloud:

I don't know.....I watched it over and over again, only find this could possibly be a wagon...but it could be a altar, you know.(*not sure)

And all those "selling flowers with a wagon" stuffs is placed naturally through the dialogue with Aerith in CC....I don't know what's the Top Secret about it actually. And why Aerith's selling flowers with a wagon would be a Top Secret to their relationship..

Oh, why would Zack suggests Aerith to sell flowers by a wagon? (*try to recall the memory a month ago*) I remember it comes from a custscene that before Zack showed off his "jumping a somersault on the sandpit", Aerith said "if you failed, you listen to one of my wishes, okay?" And then Zack failed..... :lmao: Anyway, I remember after that, Aerith requests Zack to make a wagon(cuz they're gonna sell flowers in Midgar).....Wu-well, not pretty sure, hope I could make this point clearer after I translated that cutscene.... :blush:

That's not the wagon in my opinion. It looks like a carpet leading to an altar.

Yeah, the altar was there. I think Aeris' ghost was standing behind that altar if I remember correctly. I thought I remembered one in the back of the church. Where the soldiers were chasing Aeris and Cloud was throwing barrels down. I'll look for my PC controller so I get play that part again. Hopefully I can find it by tomorrow.

Aw... Guess I was wrong. There's no wagon at the church or anywhere in Sector 4(Is that where she lived?) for that matter. Ah well.

The secret scene basically tells you that their a canon couple. Lol it confirms their relatonship. Zack and Aeris did a lot together and the wagon thing is just to tell you that he helped influence a lot of her ideas.

*_* They're so cute. Also it's not like you need much more proof from that scene anyway though. There is plenty of hints in FF7 as well :)

I too think they're cute in that scene. :D But Zack actually didn't "did a lot together" with Aerith in CC; in CC Ultimania (in the interview of Producer Section), Nojima says he didn't intend to have Zack being vacillated between Aerith and Cissnei, he simply wanted to focus on how their interaction (Zack and Cissnei) changes Css a lot and why Css encourages Zack by saying "You're not alone". And since Aerith wasn't able to leave Midgar while Css is more available in mobility (which means she gets along with Zack more often), that's part of the reason why Nojima would creat this character.

I can do the full translation of this part (p. 581), but you'll have to wait. :)

They were a couple in CC, but how does that override her falling in love with Cloud and shooting Zack down in the Lifestream? :rolleyes:

What hints are there in FFVII to support Zerith? :mellow: The fact that Aerith said several times that her relationship with Zack wasn't that serious? That she was obviously over him? If Aerith was still in love with Zack, she'd make that clear, and take advantage of the fact that they're now together in the Lifestream, not continue to love Cloud and wish to be with him.

Um, is it the "wearing pink" scene in the DMW?

I don't recall any top secret scene either, between the two... It's either really well hidden, we've already seen it and don't realize, or there is no top secret scene. ?__?

:lmao: The part that tagged "Secret" in CC Ultimania is all about battle system, how you can secretly upgrade fighting LV or how yu can solve the side missions easily...etc.


Not so secret to me, if having her promise to wear pink doesn't count, I guess this one doesn't either. :mellow:

Kaldea wins. I don't care if they were an official pairing in the past. It really does not override the fact that after meeting Cloud, she came to like him more than Zack. It's similar to Cloti in the sense that when they were children, Cloud dimly fell for Tifa but that no longer appeared to me to be the case after Cloud met up with Aerith.

As far as I'm concerned, Cloti and Zeris are in the past for Cloud and Aerith. If Seifer had his own game, I've no doubt it would show in that game that he and Rinoa were official at the time. That's all it is.
