Title: Tv-holics Anonymous
Description: For the clinically insane.
Clorith - November 29, 2007 05:41 PM (GMT)
Hello, Tubers!
Do you:
1) Read the
Watch with Kristin page before your morning paper.
2) Call yourself an
Aushole.
3) Dump your pals because you have to catch a season finale.
4) Have a
Future Husband Shrine.
5) Swear to TiVo.
If you answered "Yes" to any of the above, I am pleased to inform you that you are a
TV-holic. In severe cases, this may lead to a serious, life-threatening, disease known as
fangirlitis. :fangirl: Symptoms include accelerated heart rates, overactive tear glands, fainting spells and an obsession over pressing matters such as whether a Hero or Lostie is going to die. There is no known cure and early diagnosis has been known to worsen the condition.
The aim of this club is to contain this lethal infection and foster bonding through squee-fests. In order to cope, members are encouraged to actively engage in group therapy sessions on topics ranging from their favourite emo!hairstyle, McHottie, sexy serial killer, "Brotherly Love" etc. Intellectual discussions on what's really going on with The Island and such are of course welcomed.
Warning: This club is
not for the faint-hearted. Spoilers may also be unmarked.
So, if you have the insanity to accept the things you cannot change, step right up, grab a popcorn and sign-up! :snack: Oh yes, and state your fandoms in your post!

Aahhhh you just described me perfectly there! Sign me right up. Plenty of times I've read Kristin looking for Lost spoilers and such.
I'm going through a bit of a dry spell just now though, what with Lost and Heroes on hiatus over here. Heroes should at least be back soon since it's back in the US. I hope it's as good as last season :D
Clorith - November 29, 2007 06:29 PM (GMT)
Whee!! First member!! :fangirl: Oh, Kristin is my hero and role model. :giggle:
Haha same here, the new Heroes season is only coming in frickin' January! :woot: From what I hear, the season really picks up once Elle comes on.
P.S. I support the Petrelli's and their inappropriate chemistry. Gooo, Petrellicest! :fangirl:
Sadhana - November 29, 2007 07:32 PM (GMT)
*guilty* Yup, I'm a TV-holic. Kristen's my hero for bringing me tons of spoilers for The Office. So definitely sign me up!
But right now is a bleak time in the world of television, what with the WGA on strike. For me, that means no new episodes of The Office, The Daily Show, or The Colbert Report indefinitely. And if this strike goes on too long, they only have half the new season of Lost filmed. So I might even have to deal with repeats of Lost come February. Ahh!!
DivineRose - November 30, 2007 01:11 AM (GMT)
I don't know if I qualify!
I might apply to accelerated heart rate stuff. Is it enough that I go slightly crazy when anything involving my OTPs happens?
Clorith - November 30, 2007 03:12 AM (GMT)
Oh-hoho, more patients! Clearly this is an epidemic!
Sadhana: Yes!! The strike is killing me! My Pushing Daisies had to cut midseason, I'll be depressed once it ends next week! I heard Lost is getting the movie trailer treatment, lucky you! Those trailers will never come over here! Oh my, I only started watching The Office last season after hearing all the buzz about Jam. Now I'm really regretting starting so late. XD Oh we don't get The Colbert Report here but I saw the Colbert for President bit on E!, hilarious!
DivineRose: Oh yes you do! I was so miserable when my Denny McPerfect from Grey's Anatomy died. Sobbed through the entire thing even though I knew it was going to happen. And I started whining to my friends in school the next day and saying my imaginary husband died. Then Jeffrey Dean Morgan had to go die over at Supernatural as well. Noooo...!! So are you in? You might be showing early signs, and mixing with us will help worsen the condition.
Anyone watch Brothers & Sisters and How I Met Your Mother over here?
DivineRose - November 30, 2007 04:05 AM (GMT)
Sure, I'll join!
My fangirliest moment was probably with House when two characters "broke up" what little of a relationship they had (though not for long), and I was happy about it because I didn't like them together. My mom gave me this look when it happened, and I told her, "I feel bad for him, but the little fangirl inside me is going 'Wee!'."
I haven't seen How I Met Your Mother, but I know we have the first season on DVD.
Clorith - November 30, 2007 05:04 AM (GMT)
Haha, welcome to the madhouse.
Oh I watch House, too! Which two characters? Btw, House x Wilson moments = love.
Go watch! I love Barney! :fangirl: He has inspired me to go do something "legendary". And I totally agree with him that men should always "suit up"!
DivineRose - November 30, 2007 12:28 PM (GMT)
I'll ask my dad if he'll let me watch.
Oh, I was happy when Cameron broke up her "friends with benefits", if you want to call it that, relationship with Chase because he told her he loved her. I'm a little House/Cameron fangirl and I don't know why.
I've just never really liked Chase, period.
Clorith - November 30, 2007 01:09 PM (GMT)
Yes yes, go watch! :fangirl:
Oh!! Haha yeah Chase is kinda spineless but I forgive him cos he's easy on the eyes. My friend was complaining about Cameron's new blonde hair, but I heard that she's really a natural blonde and has been dying her hair brunette all this while. XD
One of my all-time fave lines from House was when he asked Cameron what broke her, somewhere in the first season. I can't remember how it goes exactly, but House said pretty girls become actresses or models, they don't go into Medicine, so he wanted to know what broke her.
Personally I can't decide who I want House with, so I'm just leaving him with Wilson, since he's a good cook. :giggle: I also liked Stacy when she was around, and he and Cuddy have a hilarious relationship. XD
DivineRose - November 30, 2007 11:44 PM (GMT)
I see House and Cuddy as a brother and sister; I think they've known each other since college.
And I've never really been into yaoi and all of that, so House/Wilson is sort like out there for me.
Yes, I just hate Cameron/Chase with a passion. She finally got a backbone, and he's still a freaking spineless wombat. And she's obviously not over House, what with the comment she made about House to the documentary crew, even if she didn't know she said it at first.
I have no idea if you even saw that episode. :o
And I thought Jennifer Morrison was a natural brunette...
Clorith - December 1, 2007 02:17 AM (GMT)
Nope nope, turns out she's a natural blonde. Was the documentary in the season that just aired in the US? Then it'll take a few months to get here. XD
Nope she's a natural blonde.
Proofz!Alas, then you obviously will not like
Sylinder, what a pity!
DivineRose - December 1, 2007 02:21 AM (GMT)
Yeah, the episode was here like two or three weeks ago. Might have been last week...
Hehe, the Sylinder thing was funny.
Clorith - December 1, 2007 02:23 AM (GMT)
Haha yeah, their love is like a diamond, forever! :giggle:
Oh, I edited my previous post!
DivineRose - December 1, 2007 02:33 AM (GMT)
Wow, that video was interesting. You learn something new every day. I thought she was a natural brunette because even her eyebrows are brown. Not a lot of people go through the trouble of dyeing those, too. Unless she's a dirty blonde...
And "We never brought anything on set" my butt. What's the Chase/Cameron "relationship" then, hmm? Hmm?
I honestly think I would cry (or least be very upset) if Cuddy and House got together. It would just prove that the show's out to get me.
And Cameron is leading the "Which former associate does House miss the most?" poll with 54%.
Clorith - December 1, 2007 02:38 AM (GMT)
Haha! Well if he misses Chase or Foreman, Wilson would get jealous! :giggle:
Yay, my Robert and Kitty are finally getting married this weekend on Brothers & Sisters, I think I'll go catch it online. :fangirl:
DivineRose - December 1, 2007 02:42 AM (GMT)
I feel so bad for Wilson sometimes... I have to say, one of my favorite scenes with him was when House almost tricked him into going to kiss Cuddy.
But because of this stinking winter hiatus, I don't get any new Bones or House until January. There'll be reruns (of House at least), but the last new Bones can tide me over until then. :fangirl:
Clorith - December 1, 2007 02:59 AM (GMT)
BONES!!! Booth and Bones forever!! XD I saw this week's ep because the power of the mistletoe kiss compelled me. Gah!! And the ending was so sweet, I'm so glad Bones stayed!
UsagiMamoru - December 1, 2007 03:13 AM (GMT)
I love romance soap opera drama series.
Beverly Hills, 90210
One Tree Hill
Party of Five
Gilmore Girls
Beverly Hills 90210
The O.C.
Veronica Mars
Felicity
Party of Five
Beverly Hills, 90210
Dawson's Creek
Beverly Hills, 90210
Degrassi
and a lot more
Beverly Hills, 90210 and Party of Five are my favorite
Yes, I like romance soap opera series that have been off the air for a long time.
I like couples that are boyfriend/girlfriend and dating and in a relationship for a long time during the series.
I just love dating tv couples, crying during the break ups, watching during the scenes where the couples are dating and watching each obstacle the couple faces during their relationship, watching them get married, get divorced, break up, date other people, continue dating each other and going through their relationship as boyfriend/girlfriend and husband/wife and dating for many seasons.
Party of Five
Julia/Griffin
They were boyfriend/girlfriend and husband/wife and exciting and thrilling.
Kelly/Dylan
Brenda/Dylan
Dylan dated both Kelly and Brenda and both couples were awesome together, Dylan dated Kelly for two seasons and Brenda for two seasons.
There are hundreds of great television couples that are boyfriend/girlfriend and in a relationship for a long time during the series for many seasons.
I love couples that are dating and in a relationship during the series and get together during the beginning of the series and it shows the couple as boyfriend/girlfriend and in a relationship during the series.
Clorith - December 1, 2007 03:38 AM (GMT)
Hey, UsagiMamoru! Are you joining? ^_^
Oh I love Gilmore Girls! But I only watched the first few seasons cos after that they shifted to the Sunday afternoon slots so it got in the way of my shopping and pigging out. XD Anyway, could you tell me the ending? Who did Lorelai get with? :fangirl:

Oh my gosh, you watch both Bones and House? How did I not know about this?! :lmao:
There's a video on the Bones website that has Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz preparing for the kiss, and then them actually doing the scene. I have to say, that kiss was even hotter than the one we actually saw. It was probably the same one, but it didn't change camera angles and stuff.
Yes, these are the shows I must watch every week or I'll get extremely mad.
Bones
Heroes
House
Anything else, I'll watch when I have the time.
Clorith - December 1, 2007 02:34 PM (GMT)
Oooh! Link me up with the kiss prelude! :fangirl: I feel like I've been waiting forever to see them do that!
Haha, actually I watch everything. XD Couch potato. *points to self* It's easier to ask me for what I don't watch. I hear 3 Heroes are gonna die on Monday! I haven't been watching the new season, but my friends who have been downloading are freaking out (and cursing the Writers' Strike for cutting the season).
DivineRose - December 1, 2007 04:16 PM (GMT)
Yeah, stupid Writer's Strike. Gawd, I keep writing "strife"... *is shot*
But Heroes usually goes on a hiatus around this time anyway, no?
If you click
here, you should be taken to the Bones site, and it should be the first video selected on the player. Emily and David are such dorks.
Have you heard their commentary on the first season DVD?

Sign me up please! I do love TV.
Bones, House, Heroes. God, I love TV.
Hehe.
nyrin - December 2, 2007 12:20 AM (GMT)
*admits self*
I watch entirely too much television, though I've gotten better over the years. Right now it's all about downloading old syndicated t.v. shows. 80's and 90's stuff mostly. It's such a awesome feeling rewatching the stuff you haven't seen in years! Like I downloaded the entire sixth season of Full House and even recapped and episode on lj. It's sooooo much fun! Long Live Retro XD
Clorith - December 2, 2007 11:59 AM (GMT)
Hahaha! Welcome to the asylum, nyrin and illwaitforever1! *hands out wristbands with patient ID and straight jackets just in case*
Oh I blame my addiction on my Mummy. From as far as I can remember, I've been watching Friends, X-Files etc... Loved Joey on Friends! Lol, I've most certainly gotten worse over the years. My friend and I just made ourselves TV Future Husband Shrines this year, care to see it? :giggle: I'm always fretting over who to demote so I can make room for a new future husband. :P
Hyuk hyuk, so many Bones fans! *spikes drinks with 100% pure ethanol from the lab*
Thanks so much for the link, DivineRose! Definitely much hotter than what they aired. :giggle: Oh no I didn't get the DVD, watched the first season the traditional way on TV. I find I actually enjoy waiting for the following week's episode, so I don't really marathon stuff out on DVD. Kinda like the suspense and the speculation. :D
*tries to convert people to the wonderful ways of Sylinder, Petrellicest, DeanxSam, MichaelxLinc...* I
hate that they killed off Sarah on Prision Break, though.
Hee hee, I mde patient wristbands! XD Tell me if you guys want to modify them. Not compulsory to wear them, of course. It's just a souvenir.
Bare tag:

So NAME=username, MEMBER NUMBER=as registered in club, ADM=date of your first post in the club, Dr. XXX=whoever is treating you, in this case it'll be your fave TV character.
Fandom tag:

There will be different colours for different shows.
Combined:

The tags will be added onto the holes. I guess the number of holes can be extended if the member wants, but the standard will be four?
DivineRose - December 2, 2007 05:10 PM (GMT)
Oh my gosh, Clorith, those wristbands are pure GOLD. I totally want one!
Yeah, I like waiting for my episodes too, but with DVDs, you can have them forever and ever, and all of the pretty extras!
Clorith - December 3, 2007 04:20 AM (GMT)
Lol thankies! Yup so if any of you gals want one, just state your fave fandoms and character and I'll cough one out for you. :D
Oh so what did Emily and David say in the extras? ^_^
DivineRose - December 3, 2007 12:23 PM (GMT)
Oh, they were being total goofballs in the commentary. Coming up with jokes, being totally random... This was one of my favorites:
Emily while watching the episode: His jacket's shiny.
And then later on...
Emily: I feel like we're lowering everyone's IQ while watching this.
I'll post wristband info later, I guess; I'm sort of in a hurry at the moment. ^_^
Clorith - December 3, 2007 04:13 PM (GMT)
:giggle: Oh man, you're tempting me to get the DVD!
Guys, let me know how the Volume II finale for Heroes was! Will I be sobbing over who died? Easy on the spoilers, though! Haha, looks like off-screen Sylinder is still going pretty strong. Or at least Sylar still loves Mohinder. :giggle: *does Spock handsign*
"especially when he hooked up with Mohinder"
DivineRose - December 4, 2007 03:56 AM (GMT)
Heroes was AWESOME. Three died, yes, but I find that one of them was pretty predictable. Sort of. I called it right before it happend.
Hehe, Spock.
Clorith - December 5, 2007 02:23 PM (GMT)
Hee hee, I couldn't resist and went to click on the Volume 3 trailer. Haha! Sylar's sooo
Popeye the sailor man. XDDD I read somewhere that we had a Sylinder reunion in the finale, is that true??
And I know who died thanks to Kristin spoiling me with his face as the screen for the video. Nooooo...! Why, why?!
DivineRose - December 5, 2007 11:20 PM (GMT)
Oh, so you're sad about N-person? *wink*
I guess there was a reunion... I don't see Sylinder, but they did meet again.
Clorith - December 6, 2007 04:03 PM (GMT)
:lmao: You don't? Le gasp!
Every scene in the finale with Sylar was all about the lovebirds. Oh Sylinder, let me count the ways:
1) Sylar was all, "Welcome home, honey. Ouch, what happened to your nose at work?"
2) Mohinder was back to
engaging in bondage tying Sylar up
and penetrating Sylar. And Sylar took off his shirt! It's like Christmas came early.
3) Mohinder really cares about Sylar! :giggle: He told him he needed to take his blood so that he won't give him a lethal dosage. Anyone else would have jumped at the opportunity to kill him.
I stumbled onto this page about Sylinder in the finale. I completely agree!
"Powerless" - UncensoredYes! How could they?! Kristin says he may not be back! And seeing as he just opened a play...
Scott - December 6, 2007 04:21 PM (GMT)
I figured this would be the right place to ask...
In America, the Sci-Fi channel recently aired a mini-series called Tin Man. Did anyone watch it? I've been reading about it and it sounds pretty interesting, plus I'm a fan of Zooey Deschanel, so that helps too. Just wondering if anyone could give me any reviews or advice whether to watch it not, thanks ^_^
Clorith - December 6, 2007 04:48 PM (GMT)
Oh I've heard about it, and from what I hear it's pretty good. Just asking, is Zooey Deschanel any way related to Emily Deschanel?
Scott - December 6, 2007 04:51 PM (GMT)
Yup, they're sisters :D And thanks, I've heard most peoples' opinions seem to be "It's good", so that sounds good enough for me to check it out.
Clorith - December 6, 2007 04:59 PM (GMT)
Oooh!! Now I feel like watching it, too! Shall wait a while to see if the cable channels bring it in first. Do let us know what you think after you've seen a few! ^_^
DivineRose - December 6, 2007 10:12 PM (GMT)
I would love the see Tin Man, but I don't have the Sci-Fi channel anymore. D:
I lurve the Deschanel sisters. Did anyone else notice Emily in Spider-man 2?
Clorith - December 10, 2007 01:55 PM (GMT)
Oh she was?! Which character was she? I watched Spidey 2 before Bones so I didn't know who she was back then.
Ahaha, I happened to see this on LJ. Petrellicest is pure love! Looks like
they are the ones getting married. :giggle:
