Omg sign me up!
Pah-lease! xDD
-Jumps up and down for joy.-

Omg..we need an anthem.
-Attempts to sing.-

Alantie - November 17, 2007 05:13 AM (GMT)
:lmao: So enthusiastic! Added! :D

If I could write music, I would indeed make an anthem for us. As it is, I actually used lyrics from Vanessa Carlton's song Twilight to name this club- that song always makes me think of Twilight when I hear it. ^_^

But yay for joining! I'm so glad you are here! :huggle:

~Fury Brand~ - November 17, 2007 10:25 AM (GMT)
I is here *^_^*

Can I join? :P

I read a lot and enjoy many different genres and author styles. I'm an adult but I still read a lot of young adult/teen books and sometimes even children's books still. Hey if it's a good story why not?

Besides I still like to kept up with my favourite authors from when I was younger ... like Brian Jacques :D Yay Redwall!

For Twilight I take it for what it is :)

DivineRose - November 17, 2007 03:05 PM (GMT)
I'll join, even though I've only read Twilight! xD

So, don't expect me to be here that often until I catch up.

Mokuren - November 17, 2007 03:28 PM (GMT)
I'd like to join. Unfortunately I'm probably the only nice girl in my school that likes the book series. Most of the people in my school that like the series are evil preps and hags. Although in my school I actually found a guy that liked Twilight.

:o A guy that likes Twilight?! Hoo boy, that is indeed a rarity!!

Adding you all. ^_^

I'm an adult too Fury Brand, and I still read YA books all the time. I love them to pieces. As long as the story is good and you can realate to it, why not? Plus there are tons of Fantasy/ Sci-fi ish books that are YA and are beyond awesome.

Lol, that's more than fine, DivineRose! You get to reading and drop in every now and then to update us on your progress!

Adult Shadult.. I think we should let the child inside us all live forver. xDD
-Dances with the child on the inside.-
Even though my child inside is probably still like 2 1/2. I'm only 17 xD

Oh and you should ask that Boy to join us on here. It would be most interesting to see a Male's point-of-view on the story. There is so much Estrogen up in hAAr.

Indeed- it would be interesting to see the male perspective on these books. I know my youngest brother who's 15 does not understand my obsession with these books one little bit.

So, who has read all the books so far? I'm just curious, so I know how careful I have to be about spoilers. There's so much I want to discuss, and I'm not sure where to start.

Omg I know!!! I have been going through somethings in my head but I'm way to excited to begin somthing to talk about.

:D

Mokuren - November 19, 2007 11:53 PM (GMT)
I guess I could but I've only known him for about three weeks. And mostly all we talk about is anime but I could try :).

Wintercream - November 20, 2007 08:29 PM (GMT)
Oh try please? xD
I'm sure he would be interested.
And I was thinking today as i was completing my spanish homework, it would be pretty awsome if they turned the Twilight series into a manga. It has happened to many other books. For example, Vampire Kisses, was turned into a manga with the 1st volume just coming out recently.

Alantie - November 21, 2007 04:26 AM (GMT)
Well, they have released Twilight as a novel in Japan with a few illustrations. I don't know if they'll ever make them into full fledged mangas, but that would be neat. ^_^

I absolutely cannot WAIT for Breaking Dawn. I'm excited to see how things turn out for everyone. :D I also heard somewhere that part of the book will have another character's POV. I don't know how true that is, but wouldn't that be neat? I'm hoping for maybe Alice's. :fangirl:

EDIT: Tell me, what is this Vampire Kisses you speak of?

Curse the Japanese for always getting the extremely cool things that we long for!
<_< Stupid mdncodf nfj eokfp uergrgj.

Okay I'm done. But OMG having the book portrayed through Alice's POV would be amazing. I'm very sure i'd probably go back and read it about four times just to be like, " :fangirl: ALICE!!111!176"

Oh and Vampire Kisses is a vampire love story by Ellen Shielder (I think that is how you spell her last name) I haven't started reading the book yet, but my friend tells me it is very good.

Alantie - November 23, 2007 09:19 PM (GMT)
You've never seen the manga illustrations for Twilight and New Moon? *gasp* I have them all saved in my photobucket, if you want to see them. I'm eagerly waiting for Eclipse to reach Japan so that we'll have images of from that one too!

Hmm, I might have to look at this Vampire Kisses. . . lets see if they have it at my library. . . .

I'm also really excited for Midnight Sun- Twilight from Edward's pov. I've read the first chapter on Stephenie's site, and the way he thinks is just fascinating!

I'm curious, for those of you who have read Eclipse, how did you feel about Rosalie after hearing her story? I'm interested to know if you felt the same way about her as you did before, or if perhaps you gained more sympathy/dislike for her.

Wintercream - November 24, 2007 02:12 AM (GMT)
Rosalie's story has me torn between rather I like her or not.
I mean the way she talks and present's herself disgust me. "I was so beautiful...I always got what I wanted." She was spoiled beyond all belief and she is jelous of Bella. But I can understand where her jelously comes from, so ehh..

And I would love to see the manga Illustrations, if you please. xDD

Alantie - November 24, 2007 03:58 AM (GMT)
Yes, I agree completely with what you said. Rosalie is very concieted and shallow, but at the same time I know she really and truly cares for her family. She's so fiercely protective of them, and whether she admits it or not she loves Edward tons- he's like her big brother.

^_^ Ok then! Here are the links to all the illustrations for New Moon and Twilight. Once the ones for Eclipse have been released, I shall find them too!

Whew!! Ok, I think that's all of them!!! Let me know if there's any problems!

Mokuren - November 26, 2007 11:45 PM (GMT)
Rosalie was kind of a there character for me. I really didn't like her or dislike she was just a character that was there, but I had to admit some of the hate she had was pretty unecessary. But also now that you think the way she deeply wants to be human again kind of makes you appreciate that you are human.

Alantie - November 27, 2007 03:31 AM (GMT)
Yeah, it does. I feel really bad for her- what she wants is considered so normal and simple to get by our modern standards, but then to see her suffering so much because she can't have it really makes you reevaluate the worth of having a family. Considering though the way that she was raised, you can't really blame Rosalie for being the way she is. I felt so horrible for her; Rose has a lot of tragedy, and I think that has contributed to a lot of her bitterness. Poor girl. :(

So, how do you guys feel about Kristen Stewart being cast as Bella for the upcoming movie? I've never seen her act in anything myself. I do admit though that she doesn't exactly fit the way Bella was described- Kristen seems a lot more tomboyish while I felt Bella had a more fragile air about her. *shrugs* What do you think?

Wintercream - November 27, 2007 05:11 PM (GMT)
Alantie thank you for those beautiful images! I hope you don't mind that i saved all of them?
>_>
-Hugs her tightly.- xDD I swear when I saw Edward i squeeled my pants off.

Yeah I found alot of her anger to be quite unessasary. I dislike her reasons for not liking Bella, but the way you put it I kinda understand from where she is coming from. And Yes it does make me glad I am Human, and not immortal becuase I don't want to keep living and have all my loved ones die before me. I just don't like how she presents herself and the ambiance she emits from her attitude, makes me feel uncomfortable somtimes, like she might snap and attack Bella out of jelousy.

Yeah it does, I actually called my boyfriend and told him I loved him like a billion times, You can only imagine his reaction, after he asked me if somthing bad had happened, and I told him that Rosalie made me really aprreciate my opportunity to start a healthy family one-day, He just looked at me and went, "Who is Rosalie?" xD But besides that, I agree with you on what you said.

I was actually thinking the same thing. The way Bella came in my mind was a small, shy, red-head who is often very clumsy, who looks average, and wears slightly baggy clothes. But when I saw the picture of Kristen Stewart she didn't have red-hair (I really hope she give her a wig or somthing in the movie), she didn't look to be that short, She was very pretty (Which is no surprise to me, I mean this is Hollywood), and yeah she did apear to be very tomboyish for the part of Bella. I also havn't seen anything she has stared in, maybe she is one of those new-upcoming stars?

I also agree with that statement. For instance I still am completely attached to Disney movies, I still like to have stuffed animals and snuggle with them. Stuffed animals are so kind like I said in another thread one of them was kind enough to lend me it's pink ribbon for my Aerith costume. But anyway I digress. To be copmpletely and totally honest I never heard of Kristen Stewart up until now. It aslo doesn't come as a surprise to me that Edward looks good mangafied. When I first started reading, well actually I listened to the book on CD, considering all the evil hags that go to my school were nabbing all the books at the public library.<_< When I first imagined Edward it came out as a guy from an anime.

You are most welcome! I'm glad to share! Lol, no, I don't mind that you saved them, that's more than fine! They aren't mine to begin with, lol. I got them off a forum awhile ago. And yes, Edward is completely sexy in anime form. :D

Well, in the books Bella is described as a brunette with brown eyes, which is how I always pictured her. I always pictured her to be short and somewhat pretty- not a classical beauty, but not ugly either. She is short- this is made clear, and Kristen Stewart does not look short. Nor does she have that fragileness about her that I've always associated with Bella. I really don't know much about the actress, besides that she was in a movie called Speak that was adapted from a book? I also know that she owns a few pet wolves. Maybe they want to use them in the movie? I can't vouch for her acting abilities (though I am going to try and find Speak and watch to see how she does) but physically she does not seem to fit as Bella.

I'm REALLY concerned though over who they'll cast as Edward. I really hope they pic someone good, or you know the movie will flop. <_<

Wintercream - November 28, 2007 08:03 PM (GMT)
-Is to lazy to quote Alantie's post So Um yeah..-
:D Damn my laziness.

But if I am not mistaken, Speak, is a book about a girl who gets raped at a party and calls the police becuase of it, and becuase the police stopped the ragining party she became the most hated in school becuase she "tattle-tailed" also noone belives her of the guy raping her becuase she pleads that he has a girlfriend. So basically the story is like that. I have read it a while ago though so i'm afriad my memory is a bit fuzzy.

As for the casting of Edward, if he isn't as flawless as he looks like in the book, or if he doesn't act the way he does in the book, Then I'm walkingout of the movie..

...

Only to walk back in several minutes later with more popcorn. xD

Yes, that's right- Speak deals with the girl trying to deal with everyone hating her and her rape- I believe she uses art as an outlet for her pain? I don't think she ever told anyone that she was raped until near the end or something. It's been awhile since I've read the book. But yeah, Kristen Stewart plays the main girl in there. I'm trying to find a copy of the movie so I can see how well she does. I think she was also in a movie called Panic Room? I've never seen it, because I don't do scary movies, lol. Anddd... she was also in Zathura- the movie that's like Jumangi but in outerspace. Never seen that one either.

Oh, I know- if the guy who plays Edward isn't good, I will not watch the movie. I'm so hoping for Gaspard Uliel or however you spell his last name. He would be the absolute most perfect Edward, though I doubt we'll be able to get him. *sighs sadly* I really cannot stress how important the casting of Edward is- so many fans will be upset if there isn't a perfect guy for him. I'm not as picky about the other characters, though I think Rachel Leigh Cook or Natalie Portman would be a good Alice.

So, who would you say is your absolute favorite character, besides Bella or Edward? :D

Mokuren - November 28, 2007 10:45 PM (GMT)
Oh Speak I've read that book, and I've watched the movie she does pretty good in it. Let's see my favorite characters would have to be Carlisle, Esme (even though she doesn't get much spotlight), and Alice.

Wintercream - November 28, 2007 10:59 PM (GMT)
Hmm.. I'd have to say that my absolute favorite charactor besides Bella and Edward, would have to be Jacob. I just absolutely LOVE him...you can say I have kinda a crush on him too, hehe. I just love how his personality is, the way he acts, it makes me feel like i could also be best friends with him becuase I am wierd and out-going like that. Besides the fact that he sounds absolutely gorgeaouzz. (Yeah I know I spelled that wrong xD) So yeah Jacob is mine..
-Hugs her wolve-boy.-
Inprint on me.
>_<
Okay I'm done. xD

Oh another thing I just wanted to say randomly. I didn't like the little conversation Edward and Jacob had togethor when Bella was asleep in Jacob's arms, so she could eb kept warm, while they were camping out by the end of the third book. I felt like they were talking about her like some sort of toy. I liked Jaocb's reasoning though, how he said that Bella is stronger than you give her credict for and that if Edward had given Jacob a year, she could make her truely happy, but the Edward was like "Oh you might leave her eventually. Like what happaned to Sam and Emily. I will be waiting for that to happen." I felt like they are basically planning to just share her. Love her, Crush her, pass her off to the other one. Even though what Jacob said was so sweet. xD

.

Good then that means I get Haji if his heart did not already belong to Saya.

Anyway yeah one of my favorites is definitly Esme she sweet and kind to everyone and she's Carlisle's wife. It's good to see he has someone to love. Carlisle is too sweet to be left alone.

Alantie - November 29, 2007 04:00 AM (GMT)
Esme is a sweetheart- I love her motherly kindness and she is wonderful with Carlisle. You're right, she is overlooked a lot.

Jacob, ah Jacob. I really love him the way he was in Twilight and the first half of New Moon. That Jake is a sweetheart. I don't really enjoy the way he behaved through the second half of that book and in Eclipse. I don't want to get into a huge arguement about this, lol, but I really hated his attitude and the way he behaved concerning Bella. I know he loves her, but at the same time I feel he doesn't respect that she knows her own mind with what she wants. If that makes any sense. But I love his sweetness, the way he's so easy going and positive. That's the Jake I like- the Jake who fixes cars and can make anything fun. I think I could be friends with him too. ^_^

Really? I didn't get that feel at all. I felt it was more Jake and Edward trying to understand each other and their feelings for Bella. I felt it was a bonding experiance for them- if it weren't for the fact that they were mortal enemies and both in love with Bella, I think they would actually be best friends. Like what Charlie said when he came home and told Bella about Jake being injured on his 'motorcycle' and how Edward looked at Jake like it was his own brother lying there hurt. The problem is that though they might get past the mortal enemies, neither of them can let go of Bella and that is what really keeps them apart. :(

Well, myself, I adore Alice and Jasper, but aside from them, I absolutely LOVE Seth Clearwater. He is just the sweetest thing, and I love him to bits. He's also like a mini Jake in some ways. And you have to feel bad for the little guy- his dad having that heart attack because of him and his transforming into wolves, and Leah being such a headcase. I just want to hug him. ^_^

Aww I won't argue with you. We all have diffrent views afterall. But I see where you are coming from. How Jacob is like forcing his feelings onto her. I kinda see that as his last desperate attempt to win over her love. I kinda see it as sweet. I find it quite comical how Edward and Jacob get into these little quarrels over her time to time.

Hmm Well i knew they were bonding. Maybe I should have made it more clearer, sorry. :/ What I mean is that it kinda seemed that way from what Edward had said and I started to think about if that acctually happened. Bella choose Jacob in the end, Jacob imprinted and left her, then Edward came back to her. Iono it made me feel a bit disturbed reading that. How she'd go from one heartbreak to another if she went with Jacob. Iono as of now i'm just rabbling. So i'll stop. I'm pretty sure I made absolutely no sense whatsoever.

and I Love Seth Clearwater!!!

xDDDDDD So cute! Like a little dog plush toy you can't seem to get enough of.

Oh and speaking of which where did our other members dissapear too?

P.S notice my laziness is gone?

Mokuren - November 30, 2007 12:01 AM (GMT)
Yeah like with Rosalie Jacob is another there character for me. So I'm pretty neutral against debate within and all that. Well most of them said that they wouldn't be here much because they have never read the entire series so that probably why. Another reason why I like Esme is she reminds me a lot of Aerith. I also feel sorry for Seth as well.

Ooooh, ok, I think I understand what you're saying. Yes, that was a very hard part of the conversation. But Edward is right- if Bella had decided to choose Jake, there was always the chance that he would imprint on someone and it would leave her just like with what happened to Leah. That would just be aweful, and there wouldn't be anything either of them could do about it. I really hope though that Jake does find someone- I don't want him to be sad and all alone. He deserves happiness.

Aww I won't argue with you. We all have diffrent views afterall. But I see where you are coming from. How Jacob is like forcing his feelings onto her. I kinda see that as his last desperate attempt to win over her love. I kinda see it as sweet.

Lol, ok, we won't argue about it. I can see why you'd think it's sweet, with him caring about her so much he's willing to do anything to keep her with him, but I just don't get that feeling from it. Jake's a good guy though.

:lmao: He really is!! I'm glad you love him too! He's just so adorable and cute, and you just want to hug him.

I can see that- they both are very sweet gentle people with mothering instincts. I hope we get more of Emse though- so far she's been sort of in the background. I think though that she'll step forward to help take care of Bella after her transformation. She's a wonderful character, and a great match for Carlisle.

Mokuren - December 2, 2007 02:08 AM (GMT)
Actually I think CarlislexEsme is actually a close clone of CloudxAerith. For instance Aerith and Esme's pasts weren't that great. Aerith was always being pursued, her mother died when she was only seven and she never really had any friends growing up, and the only other person besides Elmyra that actually knew her was one of the people that tried to take her back to that awful place, Esme mostly came from a lower class family, she wanted to be a schoolteacher but had to give all that up to marry an &%#@$!#& because he was rich, he treated her like crap, but she still managed to be happy about it. Then let's compare Carlisle and Cloud. For so many years they were both completely alone, both of them grew up with no friends. But then they finally had a chance to have a friend Cloud found Zack and Carlisle found Edward, both of the friends had left them (only major difference here is Edward came back, Zack didn't). And of course they were right back where they started alone. Until Carlisle found Esme after she wanted to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff after she lost her baby, the only family she had left. And Aerith found Cloud after he fell through the roof of the church. And not only that but both of them like their significant other just the way they are. This is where Cloud and Esme are alike. Cloud and Esme got treated like crap most of their lives. Everyone had picked on Cloud during his childhood and Esme had an abusive husband but Carlisle treated her with real love and kindness after she got turned into a vampire. So she probably loves him because he was kind to her and he was the first person that didn't treat her poorly. Same thing happened with Aerith and Cloud. And actually I like CarlislexEsme better than BellaxEdward. I mean don't get me wrong I like BellaxEdward though.

Alantie - December 2, 2007 04:12 AM (GMT)
Hmm you are right, there are similarities! That's very interesting- I don't remember reading that stuff about Esme. Was it on Stephenie's site?

I love BellaxEdward, but I wish that people would remember the other couples. There's mountains of BxE and BxJ, but nowhere near as much for CxE, RxE, AxJ, or any werewolf pairings. It's rather frustrating. Which is why I've taken to writing SethxAngela oneshots. A really random pairing, I know, but I'm trying to give the people a little variety. :D

Mokuren - December 2, 2007 10:43 PM (GMT)
I actually can't recall where I got it it's been a while. But the info about her jumping off a cliff after her baby died is found in Twilight. A strange occurence happened. While I was viewing the music video for Gackt's Mizerable some girl said that Gackt would make a good Edward. While I do agree with that he's way over the age limit Mrs. Meyer made. I think he's about 35 in other words he's way too old to play Edward. And actually in some fanfiction Bella is paired with Jasper.

Alantie - December 3, 2007 12:17 AM (GMT)
Yes, I remember the part about Esme jumping off the cliff because her baby died, but I don't remember the part about her having an abusive husband.

I too have read some JasperxBella fanfiction, and it is surprisingly appealing for some reason. I'll always be a die hard EdwardxBella fan, but I enjoy Jasper and Bella too. There isn't many rare pairing fanfics though. I've seen a little Edward/Rosalie and of course some yaoi *gag*, but not much more than that.

Lol, I don't know much about Gackt, so I don't know if he'd make a good Edward. I do like some of his music though. ^_^ I'm personally hoping for Gaspard Uliell- I really can't picture anyone else. I've tried too. It's HARD to find a guy I think can pull Edward off. And believe me, I've been looking! Any other ideas for Edward?

Mokuren - December 3, 2007 12:55 AM (GMT)
Oh yeah I've seen Twilight yaoi. I saw a Carlisle/Edward fanfic and that distubed me for a while. I mean I like yaoi in anime but outside anime it disturbs me a.k.a HarryxDraco. I can't think of anyone that can play Edward but that's because I have almost no knowledge of acotrs that would be good. And now you may get out your clubs and beat me but I've never heard of Gaspard Uliell.

Here's the link if you want to see why they thought Gackt would make a good Edward.

Wow I havn't posted here in a while, well anyways.

xD

Nice job on the Comparasions Mokuren. EsmexCarlisle does remind me alot of CloudxAerith once you really think about it. I actualy always though of Esme as an Aerith Look-a-like in my mind to begin with. Like with the hair and the vintage dress and the like.xD

Yeah, I just hope Jacob finds someone to love and cherish. ^^ But I really like AlicexJasper, I wish they will put some more of that in the next book.

No, no, I would never beat you! :huggle: He's a French actor, which might be why you haven't ever heard of him. He was in a movie recently about young Hannible? I haven't seen it myself, since I don't like horror shows. *shivers* But anyway, here's a piccie of him: Edward? Yes indeed!

Oh yes they do. I think yaoi exists in every fandom- I've seen it in everything from HP to Narnia to . >_< But yes, the most common I've seen is Edward/Carlisle, but I've also seen some Edward/Jacob, Edward/Jasper, and Edward/Emmett. Bella/Alice also seems to be becoming quite popular. Bleh.

Wintercream - December 3, 2007 09:41 PM (GMT)
-Shudders.-
Yaoi like that just plain out scares me. Edward/Jacob is just.
.....
Yeah let's not get into that one.

And that man is simply beautiful, he's made an amazing Edward.
Who, by the way, would be good for a part of Jacob?
I havn't really thought of anyone for him, although I'd think Kristen Durnst would make a good Jessica, for some reason, but she is probably way to old for the part.

Mokuren - December 4, 2007 01:11 AM (GMT)
Yeah she's waayyyyy too old for the part. Mrs. Meyer say the age limit is 21. And unfortunately Sir Uliell is too old as well. Which I must agree he's really the only one that looks good for the role. American actors couldn't really pull Edward's personality off. And I actually thought of something if they ever do make a movie of Final Fantasy VII (which they never will) he would actually make a good Cloud as well in the picture Alantie posted his expression looked like one CLoud would have. Sorry I really need to stop talking about FFVII in a Twilight club, Shame on me.
