Title: Cc Na Release?
Resha - November 3, 2007 07:45 AM (GMT)
Is there already a thread for this? Please merge if so.
I was doing a little bit of searching in the net for CC NA release, and according to
IGN and some rumors, the english version will be released in 2008 (March). SE hasn't said anything yet, but hey, I'm not the only one itching for the english version!!!
I'm not even sure if there would be a CC NA version, but I doubt that, because it is getting popular by the minute! Discuss, please.

I want that PSP -so- bad. :(
But I'd prefer getting an American version, since it's in English and all, and, knowing Europe's luck, we'll have to wait a few months. <_< Kingdom Hearts II, I'm looking at you. (NA release = February, EU release = October).
Resha - November 3, 2007 03:07 PM (GMT)
I only fear that Square may not bother to even release CC for the english version just like what they did in BC. If you take a look at the
NA site, no such report about Crisis Core is mentioned. T__T
Aerithstrife_7 - November 3, 2007 06:32 PM (GMT)
personally since i have this deep loathe and searing hatred of English VAs i would really prefer it if square wold make one with the Japanese voice actors but with english subtitles.. saves them time to! but of course people want an english version and the fact that they havent mentioned anything on the site is worrying but i do hope they update it soon with some info!

Oh, there'll be an NA release. They'll announce it soon enough. BC wasn't released because it's a mobile phone game. My guess is because of the differences in phone companies and the differences in the technology of the phones. And plus, wasn't Before Crisis going to be released for the PSP?
Key - November 3, 2007 07:02 PM (GMT)
Crisis Core will surely get an NA release. It'd just be so incredibly stupid not to do so and I think Square knows that. The only question is when's the release date? A lot of game stores and such say March '08 but I think that's more tentative than anything else as Square hasn't released an official release date for CC.
(Before Crisis was another case entirely as it was a mobile phone game, and we know how "well" mobile phone games do in America.)

really Bc was going to be released for the PSP? i never heard that.. but i hope they do for all of us that dont live in Japan and really want to play it!!!... also it would be funner to play on the PSP rather than the mobile...
Pyra Kurai Akaidra - November 3, 2007 10:14 PM (GMT)
CC will get an NA release date, after all, if it didn't, why on earth does Australia's Playstations Official Magazine did an article on the game, if there's no chance of an EU (or even AUS) release date.
Though, once the NA release date is official, unless it's an simultaneous release in ALL English-speaking countries, it'll be another few-several months for PAL gamers to see it in our stores.

Nothing about BC being available on PSP. Sorry if anything we said was misleading. :huggle:
Aerithstrife_7 - November 4, 2007 07:23 PM (GMT)
hahah its ok!!! but damn that would have been really nice if they did release it for the PSP maybe one day in the future and yea i agree it would be really stupid if there was no NA release.... the amount of fans that would pay for that game
MistaCloudStrife - November 4, 2007 09:24 PM (GMT)
Here's the link... Someone wrote about the Square Enix Party.
http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=c...612&Ite%20mid=2Number 14 on the list says something about Before Crisis on the PSP. But yeah... there isn't anything official.
Key - November 4, 2007 11:05 PM (GMT)
Oh ho... NOW it gets interesting. It would be awesome if they decide to release BC for PSP for sure. Here's to hoping it isn't another baseless rumor.
Vanilla - November 5, 2007 09:46 AM (GMT)
I'm pretty sure that there'll be a NA release. I hope SE will announce it soon.
BC for PSP? I really do hope so.
Imaginary__girl - November 8, 2007 03:07 AM (GMT)
Grrrr I need a PSP! D:
CC & and now *possibly* BC? Ughhh...I wish I had a job.
Anywho, pertaining to the NA release of CC, imdb.com is a good resource for updates on the release. Here's the page:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0483593/I'm not saying it's the best, but they're pretty on top of releases and stuff. At least in my imdb experience. xD And bonus! You can see who will be voicing the characters. ^_^
::CloudSmiles:: - November 8, 2007 03:19 AM (GMT)
IMDB is okay, but it likes to guess a lot. I don't totally trust it. The release date is not confirmed yet to my knowledge.
Thank you for the link Imaginary Girl.

So...
What about the PAL date? Specifically for me, the Australian release date? I hope it's not one of those 'Australia get the game months after Europe got it' situation.

Here, Pyra.. News for PAL territories (but with no definite date) :
Crisis Core Confirmed for PAL Territories
Final Fantasy VII spin-off lands in Spring.
UK, January 16, 2008 - EU-based Square Enix fans may want to take a seat because it was revealed today that Crisis Core - the PSP follow-up to the original PSOne FFVII that represents everyone's favourite way to kill 70 hours of their life - is being released this Spring. Which is near enough the same time it will be unleashed in US stores.
European gamers are used to waiting prolonged periods for Square Enix games to drip through other territories. Final Fantasy XII for the PS2 took a year to wind its way here, with Americans getting the game some five months before their EU brethren, and the imminent FFXI spin-off - Revenant Wings on the DS - has also been subject to a prolonged journey to these shores, with the EU release coming out three months after the US version. But this latest move is hopefully an indication that Square Enix is taking European territories more seriously and fingers crossed the trend of near-simultaneous release dates is something that will continue.
The US release of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core has been dated as 25 March, so we can expect the EU version soon after. Source:
IGN.comThanks Kadaj's Grief from ACF.net! :gift:
EDIT: And more news..
"In the latest Playstation magazine (CRISIS CORE FULL FRONT COVER) the say the voices are fine but has syncing probs of about 3 secs. basically the talk 3 secs later well get a physical gesture that should have went with speech. no word if its cause it was a hands on preview or what. ALSO, theres a hard mode option."
Thanks, Shinra Employee #080729! :gift:
