I hope this isn't a thread already, but since the search engine's not up...

I just recently had to read this for my English class, and we're currently watching a movie version of it in class. I saw the 1935 version on my own time. ^_^

So, I want to know if you guys have read it, and if you have, your thoughts on it. I'm one of the few people who actually enjoyed reading it at my school. Then again, I'm one of the few people my age that actually likes to read, period.

I read that for honors sophomore English. It was good. A little sad when he got the guillotine though.

Yeah, the whole end of the book was pretty depressing.

Is is sad that I was finding parallels between this book and FFVII? I mean, there's a total humanitarian (or a really really nice person) who has the affections of two guys that look like each other. :whistle:
