It's been ten years since FF7 released, so the imagination to each character has been swelled.
I was very careful not to cause incongruity in designing.
The most difficult one, of course is Cloud.
The making of Zack is laborious too, but Cloud is the toughest.
Actually, as we can see in movie, Cloud's pupils are a little bit bigger than other characters,
but based on his expressions, it's not that visible. All of these parts were difficult.
As for Aerith, since the staffs' love is strong, she was made to be a beauty in the beginning.

All those staff translations are LOVE (and I hadn't heard about these interviews until now! Tsk!). There are definitely Aerith fanboys in SE!

I believe he's been very neutral about Aerith and Tifa, but I've heard him say he likes Cloud and/or Sephiroth. His favourite male character (or maybe favourite character, period) was Sora, and his favoured female was Aya Brea from Parasite Eve.

(Psst, apparently some Cleris fans approached Nomura once to ask, and he supposedly said he liked Aerith. Verbally, of course, nothing in writing. So believe that however much you want to. :wink: )

I'm filled with joy at seeing SE express their love for Aerith...and really, I'm not surprised at all. Anyone who thinks SE killed off their heroine because they disliked her is an idiot. Doesn't take too much brain to figure out that she would have been scrapped instantly if Nomura had hated her design. Same goes for the rest of his other characters.

Yeah, in a way, Aerith was "special" in that she was the one who had to die. The players formed an attachment to her and Square knew that we would (otherwise the plan to kill her and tear at our emotions would have failed). We were supposed to love her so that her death would be even more sad.

hahaha Alantie that scenario must have happened maybe we can bribe SE into releasing those T-shirts!! and yea it really stupid that ANYONE would think that they killed of Aerith because they didnt like her its one of the dumbest things ive heard.... and i think Key put it perfectly SE knew that Aerith's death would have such a great impact on gamers because they knew that we like them would fall absolutely in love with her character and form that bond with her.. so that when she did die it was all the more well.. completely and utterly shocking and depressing.. even people who maybe did use Aerith as often or something along those lines felt the sadness when she died cause SE created a character that leaves such an amazing an great impression on the player so yup yup i love seeing SE express their love for Aerith!!! SHE DESERVES IT!!!

Wow that article made me feel so Relieved and happy! :D I almost thought they loved Tifa more because they always show Aerith's sideface instead of showing her whole face something like that. but because of that article I felt so ALIVE!!!

they only showed Aerith side face cause they didnt want to spoil it for the fans .. reveling her face at the end was like a really really special gift and my god she looked stunning so i think SE did that cause they know how much we want to see Aerith and how much we love her.. haha dont worry i doubt it was out of spite or anything...
