I have been a Cleris fan for a long time ever since I played the game and saw their first meeting and my whole family is Cleris. The first time I watched AC and I saw the ending, my dad came down just by chance. When he saw Aeris and Cloud in the church smiling at each other he said one thing I find really cute. "Love extends beyond the grave so they will always be together so don't feel sad." (Addressed to me).

FYI: My dad loves Cleris almost as much as I do. His favorite scene is their meeting in the church. My sister and mom also love them and said they are destined to be together. (They love the handreach).

I have a second cute scene to tell everyone. I was in school this summer and I was surfing the net on Aeris and I watching the FMV just before her death and my boyfriend (who doesn't know anything about FF7) asked me "Why did that gray haired guy want to kill the beautiful angel?" Then when he saw Cloud's reaction and said "It must be because her boyfriend is there and the gray haired guy wanted to torment him." He is a full fledged Cleris after seeing AC. :cleris: forever!

Phewww I just aksed my mom and she's a clerith my dad and sis like them too. I wasn't so sure about my mom though because before she said the "The girl's dead move on. It's not normal for him to grieve for so long get over it." I was like WTF O__o What the hell did you just say!?!?!?! About my fambam: Well, my parents just plainly don't care, at all. D: They think FF is only a waste of time for me since forever ~is hurt~, but after watching AC for the nth time with my mom, she likes to argue that Cloud can easily have his hair done to look like a convincing babe. Um, 'scuse meh?! :o MR. STRIFE SHALL NOT BE DEGRADED! (O'course, my mom was only teasing me. x3)

Then we have my brothers. My older brother thought it was obvious from the start that Cloud loves Aerith. ^^; With the AC trailers before '05, however, he started to lean towards Cloti since there was little Aerith and lots of hot Tifa. Thinking about it, I actually never have ...nagged him about it, even though I had the instinct in me to do so 'cause all he did was tease me (he knew I've always loved Cloud and Aerith together like woah). BUT, after watching AC, he realized *by himself* that Aerith was always the one in Cloud's heart and always will be. :sad: No lie; I'm serious, my kuya was all emotional and not kidding! I honestly thought it would be the total opposite. Surprisingly, C/A is the only couple he actually appreciates aside from Link/Zelda, which is awesome. My little brothers (ages 6 & 8) also adore C/A as well for some reason; possibly because they think Aerith is uber pretty or because of the magic of KH1+KH2. :lol:

Also... no offense to anyone, but I don't think it's necessary for anyone to automatically try to "convert" others who ship another pairing. ^^; It's just their preference or view. Unless you guys are willing to take on some intense debate, or if you just find the power within you out of pure annoyance to do so, then sure, I guess it's no problem. I just think it would be more convenient if we just let others like their pairing. =/?

Yeah, my parents really don't care either. Every time I'm trying to watch AC, if it's not in the basement, my mom's like, "Is it over yet?" because she wants to watch TV.

I'm pretty sure my sister's a C/A shipper, but she doesn't really care all that much either. I'll catch her reading fanfics from time to time, but there's no one obsessed like me. xD

I was telling my dad about the Cloti vs. Clerith war and he was like "Tifa and Aeris are great characters, it's pointless to argue over it since Cloud loves both of them. He loves Aeris as a girlfriend and Tifa as a sister and she's a bit like his mother when she lectures him."

I also asked him about Cloud calling Aerith "mother" and my dad said "Cloud was going to die so he took a comforting presence as his mom, plus he yearns to see his mom again since she has passed. Aerith can fill any role for Cloud and her friends. She jokingly "mother's" Cloud to show him she doesn't blame him for her death, She is Tifa's sister and looks after her even through she's a spirit, but most importantly she's Cloud's girlfriend, because she completes him and its so obvious Cloud loves her from the way he looks at her at the end in the church."

One really cool thing that my dad said is "Tifa and Aerith remind me of women from the 60's. Their independent and stand up for what they believe and they aren't weak. They love their friends and are also look for the good in the world."

My mom knew nothing about ff7 but she was able to watch AC. When I asked her who she thought Cloud's lover was, she immediately answered, "the girl who appeared in the end." And when I told her that there is a love triangle, she said she didn't notice because Cloud and Tifa seemed like they were just best friends.

Most of my guy friends likes Tifa because they say she is hot but also says that Cloud and Aeris are the ff7 couple.

There's nothing to be furious about, IMO. I saw a lot coming from Tifa during that scene, but Cloud was rather quiet about the whole thing. Remember that the Highwind scene is one of those scenes affected by high or low affection. If it was meant to be something to seriously canonize Cloti, it wouldn't have been part of the dating mech....plus, if it was all that special and romantic, it most likely would have gotten it's own CG rendered cutscreen. It's not special like the non-optional scenes we got of Cloud and Aerith. :razz:

My parents would probably be too disturbed by the gravity-defying, deadly powers of FFVII hair to care about pairings. I can almost imagine my mom ruining Aerith's death scene by pointing out that there's no blood-- this is a woman who slept through before Fellowship of the Ring before Frodo even made it to the Prancing Pony. She doesn't have patience for anything unrealistic. :lol:

I don't get into pairing discussions (or FFVII discussions in general) with my friends because they've either never played it (HEATHENS!), they only know the movie (POSERS!) or they played it once long ago and have since moved on with their lives. :razz: Though one of my guy friends loooooves Tifa and bought all her AC merchandise-- you'd think he'd support Cloti, but I suspect he'd support Cleris and keep Tifa all to himself. :giggle: And I've caught one girlfriend cosplaying as Tifa and another one squeeing when she fought Loz. (I feel it should be noted that all three of them probably never played the game.)

Plus Tifa never referenced it in CoT. I mean, she can talk about her intimacy with Cloud as soon as the other girl was buried in a lake but wouldn't talk about the Highwind scene where they spend the night alone together? That's weird. And kind of disturbing.

Since I started playing the game of Final Fantasy VII, I really like Cloud and Aeris pairings because they are so match couple :cleris: .

Lucky for you guys your families and friends are Clerith but mine here are all Cloti :( and this is not right. You know guys when I first saw Crisis core I lost my faith for Cloud and Aeris. I started to like Zack and Aeris but when I saw this music video

well I used to have a cloti friend but recently I have turned him into a clerith fan :peace:
however he said he didnt liked AC movie cause Aeris almost didnt appeared and that killing the main heroine had been the most retard thing ever. :D he made me laught on the way he said tough.

My family on the other side doesnt like rpg's so they dont feel attracted to Final Fantasy and thus they dont care at all.

My mom is a Clerith with me! xD She watched AC with me, and she definitely agreed - Cloud loves Aerith, end of discussion. xD My friend's mom thinks Cloud should move on, but my friend's a Clerith (she loves yaoi, though, therefore, she's a Clack fan xD) and we have big discussions on that. xD My mom's also the first one I run my Clerith AMVs by, and she cries at some. :lol:

Then with AC my mum always had a big smile on her face whenever Aerith and Cloud were together, she thought the flowerfield scene was really romantic :)

My dad is a gamer too, but he isnt very interested in stories and pairings in games. Yesterday i showed Crisis Core ending, first meeting with Aeris and zeris "date" on youtube. While i was like "Omg it's Aeris , AERIIIS! She's so pretty", he was looking at the graphics of the game. Actually, he thinks that both girls are pretty, but (AC) Tifa is prettier ><.
I made one of my friends Cleris, she is not FF fan, Aeris fan, Cleris fan,etc...But i convinced her that Cleris is true couple of FFVII , not CloTi :envy:

You guys have such cool families. My dad is neutral, since he doesn't really like those pairings. My brother is too, say, little to understand the plot. My mom and sis aren't into FFVII. That makes me the only one who's a CLERIS fan here!

I think I also converted one of my friends to cleris, when I said Sora is C and A's child, although SE didn't really confirm it. But as we all know, Sora IS C and A's boy.

I have this friend whose dad has something of an ego...he boasts about EVERYTHING his kids accomplish, from their schoolwork to the books they were reading, to their videogames. It was really quite annoying. Once he came over to my house(he and my dad are friends), saw me playing FF7 and boasted, "Guess what, JJ's about to revive Aerith and she and Cloud we'll be reunited!" I just bit my tongue and let it go because he was on the Cleris side of things :lol:
