I actually read a thread here that was about couples that remind you of cloud and aerith! So while i was reading it i said to myself what couples remind me of Cloud and Tifa :huh: ? Well, to be honest the couple that reminds me of those two are probably ranma and akane from Ranma 1/2. And if you analyze the couple more closely you then start to notice all the things that are so wrong about Cloti :never: !!!

The main problem is that Ranma and Akane are too much alike which is probably why they end up arguing 90% of the time. Ranma's too childish and immature and so is Akane and the only reason why they end up together is ranma really( and i do mean REALLLLLYYYY) lurvs akane coz if he didn't hed probably leave her. Their relationship is shaky at best and even in their married life i bet ya they'd still be arguing 90% of the time.

That would probably be the way Cloud and Tifa would be only much worse since Cloud would still love Aerith :cleris: and the glue that binds Akane and Ranma together (AKA LOVE) doesnt exist between cloud and Tifa. :never:

well I had never related RanmaXAkana with CXT, basically, Cloud is 100% different from Ranma, and I hardly imagine CXT is alike to this great paring in any aspect. Tifa always staggers in showing her affection while Akana is hides no emotion whenever she's jealous or angry... :ermm:

I got no ideas to share now(trying really hard) maybe cuz I never consider CXT as a pairng....not even a slightest one :P

Inetersting comparison but I would have to dissagree a bit. The very fact that Ramna and Akane argue in typical shounen couple fashion shows how much they care for eachother. They must really like one another if they can put up with eachother that much. I've never seen Cloud and Tifa argue like that. Cloud will never try to raise his voice at Tifa, but Tifa won't hesitate to yell at him (as we see in AC).

Definitely SquallxQuistis. I mean, come on, they grew up together, got separated, and got reunited later in life. Squall is the cold mercenary type and Quistis is the "childhood friend". Quistis develops feelings for Squall, but he meets Rinoa and falls for Rinoa instead. Quistis later confesses that her feelings for Squall were that of a sister, sort of like Tifa's feelings maturing for Cloud into that of a mother. :whistle:

Im probably juz hatin on akane coz i never really liked her <_< but still im only making an analogy, im not actually comparing them :( i guess what im tryin to say is that ranmaxakane remind me of CxT, only thing is that CxT misses the one thing that RxA has which is love for each other :whistle:

Kazuki and Yunna.

Oh God, if you ever see Mahurabo, Yunna has to be the most clingy anime girl ever! She was Kazuki's childhood friend, and later she becomes so possessive that it's scary. Ok to Tifa is no where near as possessive as her, but her constant attempts to be with Kazuki remind me of Tifa.

They stuck by each other since day one, are great friends, and love each other very much, but at the end of the day they are more like brother and sister than lovers, despite the fact that others around them think there's something deeper going on, there really isn't.

When i first read the 1st installment of the HP series (HP & the philosphers stone ) I actually thought that they were going to be a couple at some point in time but was i wrong!!! Anyway i guess having Harry ending up with Ginny was probably the best way to go for J.K. Rowling (but if you had told about 4 years ago that harry and ginny were going to end up together, i would have laughed and shot you down:guns: faster than a CLOTI IN THE CXA FORUMS RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS TO SUPPORT CXT AND SAYING " :X ALL OF YAH IM GOING HOME!!!" Yes I liked them at first too. But once Kazuki "died" Yunna seriously went over the deep end with her possessiveness to the point where I would call her the most annoying anime girl ever. Now I prefer all the other girls besides her to be with Kazuki. The sad thing is, YunnaxKazuki is probably canon.

They're a little too close as 'family' to be romantically involved. The spark can't really be there with someone you know that well.

Anyone ever read The Elfstones of Shannara? Wil Ohmsford and Eretria. She's constantly chasing him and wouldn't give up on him even though his heart belongs to the Elven girl, Amberle, who he's in charge of protecting while on their quest together. Heck, there's even a scene in there where Eretria nurses Wil back to health. ***spoiler***Amberle eventually sacrifices her life by becoming the new Ellcry Tree that would protect the land, and to my disgust, Wil gets with Eretria because now that Amberle was gone, "he had no reason not to" and because this girl "did go through a lot for him". This was immediately after Amberle's death too. WTH. What's wrong with remaining single? Heck, I wasn't expecting him to stay single for the rest of his friggin' life, but why did he have to get with someone out of pity and only because the girl he really loves died?! ***end of spoiler*** I liked this book at first, but the ending took such a lame turn that it ruined the whole book for me, unfortunately.

Definitely Ginta/Miki from Marmalade Boy. Not EXACTLY the same, but they're very alike.
(Ginta = Tifa; Miki = Cloud. ^_^ & Yuu = Aerith!)

Ginta and Miki were good friends in the past. Miki really loved him, but Ginta made it clear to his friends that he didn't reciprocate BUT secretly did as well, thus a huge misunderstanding happened while Miki overheard a certain convo concerning her confessing love note. She didn't talk to him at all for two years until Ginta took the initiative to break the deadlock. Good friends now but Ginta is the one who still holds strong feelings for Miki though she doesn't know it. She calls him her "first love". However, after this new guy named Yuu comes in and unintentionally stirs things around, Miki is caught in-between. *spoiler* Eventually in the story she realizes that it's Yuu she truly loves and only just doesn't want to lose Ginta as a friend. This hurts Ginta, but then he understands and promises to kick Yuu's ass if he ever makes her cry. He eventually ends up falling in love with Yuu's ex-gf Arimi (God I hate that pairing XD).

There's a lot more to it, but I haven't read the manga for awhile. I miss it so, it's so bittersweet! <3 I wub it.

While the two always hung out in the past and played tennis together, Miki secretly was in love with Ginta. She'd always think about the conversations they had each day and wonder how he felt about her since they shared some personal things ( i.e. a Wimbledon pin that Ginta chose only Miki to have out of all people). One day, however, she finally wanted to confess her feelings for him through a love letter (but felt hesitant about it). She slipped it in his bag when it was abandoned and took off. The letter was found by one of Ginta's friends in a manga book of his, so he read it aloud and Ginta was surprised. His friend asked if he actually liked her, and although he truly did as revealed later on, he quickly remained nonchalant and denied those feelings because he did not want to make enemies. Unfortunately Miki heard this while she returned to retrieve her gym clothes. Ginta saw her standing by the classroom doorway and tried to stop her since it was all a misunderstanding, yet he couldn't let his "friends" know--thus she cried and fleeted, vowing to never forgive Ginta for letting his friends read her love note aloud. It was clear that Ginta was heartbroken afterwards with his haircut (Japanese tradition to cut it when you feel as such).

They didn't speak for two years until Ginta randomly greeted Miki with a "hey, we're in the same class this year!" Since then, they became good friends and started talking with each other regularly. She no longer had feelings for him now and likes to call him her "first love". Ginta is still quite the same in terms of feelings but doesn't tell Miki just yet.

It isn't until a new guy comes in--Yuu Matsuura--that Ginta feels threatened with his bond with Miki. Yuu is a very chill guy that teases Miki for the hell of it, but Ginta feels insecure since he and Miki "live together" (long story about their parents!) and soon will "have her". Because of this frustration, Ginta blurts out the truth of "loving her all along" after another misunderstanding to move things further.

Blahblahblah ... stuff happens ... characters change ... obstacles are faced ... frustration and emotion ... In the end it's all different. =P (Yuu/Miki + Ginta/Arimi)

We are so much like the Cloti relationship, it's scary. See, we weren't really close in our younger years. (sixth grade) We thought we were, but when we looked back on it, we found out we weren't. He thought I expected him to be someone, when all along all I wanted was for him to be himself, lulz. So, we started going out in early eighth grade. Long distance relationships--- KILLER. It's really tough, but it helped us grow a stronger bond. And, we're so much like one another, that it helps us understand one another more. I think this is true for CloudXTifa (Who I am SORRY, I think are NOTHING like Ranma and Akane who fight childishly 24/7).

But, as for unREAL Cloti relations, I think Cloud and Tifa are a lot like Locke and Celes from FFVI. Celes is the fighting independant type, that is very similiar to the main hero, Locke. They fight jokingly, seriously, work through conflicts, and share tender moments. Relationships need all of these varieties, and the fact that a pair can rise above conflicts and fall even closer together because of them, shows a deep bond.

KainxRosa. Rosa, Cecil and Kain were all childhood friends. Kain has loved Rosa seemingly forever but she's never requited his feelings. Instead she chose to just be his friend since she loved Cecil. She, Cecil, and Kain are also in a love triangle although it ends with her and Cecil getting married after the trio goes through a whole lot of drama.
