Title: Aerith's Church
Description: To be important in the movie

Nomura said in an interview last summer that Aerith's Church will be important to the movie. In what way do you think the Church be important?
The Church seems to be playing more of a part in the movie than just a place of solace for Cloud, since Kadaj drives his motorcycle into the Church with the box, opens it, then starts screaming, "Mother!!" What could be happening? Is Aerith involved in some way?

Hmmmm could Aeris have something to do with Geostigma???
Perhaps...
I'm not sure but don't they consider Jenova to be their mother or am i way off here. If that is the case then it looks like Aeris has something to do with Jenova...intriguing.

Actually, the prevailing theory is that Geostigma is a result of the Lifestream washing over the Planet to destroy Meteor at the end of FFVII. I've seen Aerith blamed for that because Holy failed. >_< But Geostigma is actually a result of the Lifestream within people overcompensating as it tries to fight the Jenova cells which have infected everyone.
How did so many people get Jenova cells in them? The theories are that Jenova's cells entered the Lifestream while Jenova's head was afloat in the Lifestream with Sephiroth, or that the Jenova cells in Sephy's body dispersed into the Lifestream after he died. Again, if there were Jenova cells already within the Lifestream when it washed over the Planet to destroy Meteor, then people were exposed.
If Jenova cells are in the Lifestream, could Aerith's spirit be threatened by Geostigma in some way?

Yes, they are calling Jenova "mother" and they're calling Cloud "brother". If the Lifestream is opposing Geostigma, then will Aerith's spirit within the Lifestream be able to help in some way?
What would that have to do with the Church?

Well i'm only guessing here but i would say that the church is the symbolic representation of Aeris.
So it seems again then that Aeris may have to save people from Geostigma through the lifestream but the question is does SMH want this to happen?
Or are they fighting against Aeris?
And i'm still confused as to what role Sepiroth plays in all this.

It may be that Jenova manifested herself as Sephiroth. Yet, Kadaj starts screaming "Mother" after bringing the box into the Church. If her head was in the box, did the power of the Ancients in the Church oppose the power of Jenova in some way when he brought her there?
I would agree that the church is the symbolic representation of Aerith. It may also be symbolic of the power of the Ancients in some way, which would include Aerith, of course. The SHM do seem very interested in the Ancients... why else would they take the children to the Forgotten City?
Or were they simply headed to the Northern Crater with the children, and they had to pass through the Forgotten City to get there? Kadaj speaks of taking the children to join Mother, so he may have been speaking about another Reunion.
Since Aerith is in the Lifestream, and the Lifestream opposes Geostigma, I think that's how Aerith will be brought into the movie.
