Title: Q About Messy Character..

aerithlove527 - October 2, 2007 08:15 AM (GMT)

Maybe sb's posted this before, but I'm kinda laz to browse through pages..

My typed Japanese turns to messy codes everytime I post(or even quote from others' threads) something in Japanese...I'm not sure if there's any setting I should do before posting. Any suggestion/help? :/

I think your browser needs to have the option to support Japanese characters enabled. If you don't have it, you can usually download the Japanese language pack from Microsoft....

Or the place where you are planning to post Japanese characters do not support them so they're turning into squares or other messy codes.

You probably need to download Japanese/Chinese characters from Microsoft. I do know for a fact that if you try to read a Chinese/Japanese topic in Wikipedia, and don't have the proper download for them, it will give you an option of loading Chinese characters and when you have them you will have Japanese characters too. (I know because that's how I did it.)

Just make sure you're not using pirated software. Otherwise, you won't be able to download the necessary stuff from Microsoft.
