First of all, I want to apologize for create this thread apart from other spoilers.. But I do this because I always feel dizzy when this story scatter(?) with videos, pics in the spoilers thread.. I just like :wacko: to read forummers' comments about the story.. Separating this make the whole things neat, right?.. So, guys, enjoy the story and feel free to discuss it!

For those of you who are lost as to what's going on in the story and would like to know, I'm going to try and summarize what's going on, at least up to where I am in the current game. Bear in mind that my Japanese isn't perfect so I won't understand 100% fully, so somethings might be wrong. Feel free to point out whatever mistakes I've made. Well, here goes

The story starts with the disappearance of Genesis, so Angeal and Zack are dispatched to Wutai to find out what happened. At Wutai, Angeal defeats two soldiers and unmasks them, realizing that the soldiers they have been fighting are really copies of Genesis, in other words, clones. Lazard shows up and Zack escorts him away, but then hurries back to aid Angeal when Lazard is safe. However, Angeal is gone and Zack can't find him, so Lazard comes to the conclusion that Angeal has joined Genesis and become a traitor. Zack doesn't believe it. They pull out of Wutai and return back to Shinra.

Lazard calls Zack and tells him to head to Angeal's hometown and investigate a claim Angeal's mother made. She said that Angeal hasn't been in contact with her lately. Lazard also makes a brief statement about how this information can't be trusted because they are, after all, mother and son. Tseng is sent along with Zack.

I don't know why, but for some reason, Tseng decides to go see the mother with Zack. But anyways, Zack asks Tseng (I think) if he can talk to Angeal first if they find him, because he can convince him to come back to Shinra, and hopefully Genesis will return, too, if Angeal does. Tseng tells him that Sephiroth has the same sentiments because they were all friends from a long time ago (Sephiroth, Angeal, and Genesis). Zack goes and sees the mother and finds out Angeal often mentions Zack in his letters to her, and that he and Genesis were friends since they were little. She doesn't know what Angeal is up to, and is worried. She mentions that Genesis won't kill her (forgot the reason). Zack tells her to leave everything to him and he'll take care of it.

Zack and Tseng then head to the warehouse area, where they finally meet up with Genesis. Not too sure what they were talking about here =T. Moving on. Zack chases after Genesis and Angeal. I think Tseng mentioned that there is going to be an airstrike so Zack heads towards Angeal's mother's house. When he gets there, he finds out she's dead. I'm not sure what Angeal said when Zack threw him against the wall and asked what did he do. I think it was something like "she had no reason to live...and neither does her son." Zack says he doesn't understand and asks for an explanation. This is where Genesis walks in and says that Angeal can't go on living like that. Angeal walks away and Zack chases after him, but Genesis trips him. Couldn't really understand what Gensis was saying. Something about a world they're creating? After defeating Bahamut, Gensis tells Zack that they're all monsters, revealing his wing and flying away. Zack repeats what Genesis said, "Soldiers are monsters."

Zack is back at Shinra. The war is over and everyone is happy. Zack has a flash back to when Angeal's mother told him that Angeal's sword is their family treasure/heirloom (something along those lines), which is probably why Angeal tries not to use his sword. Then another flashback to when Angeal tells Zack that he's more important than the sword, but only by a little.

Zack gets a call from Sephiroth telling him to go see Lazard. Lazard tells Zack that he's been promoted to Soldier 1st Class, but Zack isn't that happy about it because of everything that's happened so far. Lazard tells him that he has a new mission already and that Genesis and Angeal are fugitives now, but Zack won't be the one hunting them down. He is to go to Nibelheim (at least I think I heard Nibelheim >_< and Sephiroth is to accompany him. At this point, Shinra is attacked by the Genesis copies. On the way out, Sephiroth says he doesn't want to believe that Genesis is doing this. Zack tells him not to then. Downstairs at the entrance, Sephiroth tells Zack that Holland must be working with Gensis.

Outside Zack meets up with the Turks. After defeating the "advanced" version of the Genesis copy, Cissnei tells Zack that when she was a kid, she thought it'll be wonderful to have wings, cause you'll look like an angel. Zack replies saying that if humans had wings, they'd be monsters. Not too sure what Cissnei says in reply. Something like "it's up to how you see it. They're not neccessarily monsters" or something along those lines.

Zack then gets a phone call from Sephiroth asking him to meat him at Mako reactor 5. Not sure what else was mentioned. Something about the termination orders for Genesis and Angeal. I think the Sephiroth said that the orders were postponed? Because Zack seemed happy about it.

The lizard thingie that attacks Zack turns out to have Angeal's face. Not sure what Sephiroth said, but he mentions Genesis. Sephiroth then tells Zack that the three of them used to sneak away and train. Zack says they must've been good friends, and Sephiroth says "I wonder."

During the flashback, Sepiroth tells Genesis that he unfortunately memorized the poem cause Genesis keeps reciting it everyday (shows how much time they've spent with each other everyday). After the two vs one spar, Genesis tells Angeal to stand back because he wants to fight Sephiroth one on one. He tells Sephiroth that he'll become a hero too. After a bit of fighting, Angeal tries to stop Genesis, but Genesis says that he just wants to be a hero, and that he's in the way, thus blasting Angeal in the face.

At the lab at Mako reactor 5, there's another flashback. Seems that Holland is Genesis's doctor, the only one that can treat him or that he only wants to see. Genesis needs a blood transfusion (I think) due to the injury sparring, and Sephiroth steps foward, but Angeal stops him. Professor Holland tells Sephiroth that he's no good (can't be used). Sephiroth turns away and asks himself why he isn't any good.

Sephiroth tells Zack that Project G is Project Genesis. Genesis then shows up and recites another passage from "Loveless" then goes on to say something about the three of them, one person is something, another person is something, and the remaining becomes a hero. (Sorry, couldn't figure out what he said). Then he asks if he's the hero, or if Sephiroth is, and that he's searching for the Goddess's gift.

Zack chases after Holland, but is stopped by Angeal, who says "world conquest." Zack tells him to stop the bad jokes. Angeal then spreads his wing and says that he's become a monster and that a monster's goal is revenge and world conquest. Zack tells him he's wrong and that wings aren't proof of being a monster. Zack asks what his wing represents then, and Zack says "an angel's wings." Angeal demands to know what goals should an angel have. What dreams he should have. He then walks towards Zack and says that angels only have one dream, and that it's to become human. After punching Zack and sending him flying, Zack stands up. Angeal yells at him to fight back, but Zack refuses, so Angeal sends him plummeting.

At this point, there's a voice that asks Zack what happened. Zack says "Mother, I want to save/help my friend. But I don't know what I should do." We hear the same voice again say "hello?" Zack wakes up and asks if he's heaven, but the girl says "unfortunately, no." Zack then asks her if she's an angel. She shakes her head and introduces herself as "Aerith" and tells Zack that he fell from up there and surprised her. Zack asks her if she saved him, and she says, "Not really, all I did was say 'hellooo?' " Zack introduces himself and says that he has to somehow repay her, but Aerith says it's okay. But Zack doesn't accept this and says "hmmm..how about a date?" She tells him that's silly. Zack starts walking off but Aerith tells him to stop and not to walk on the flowers.

Zack then says that it's a rare site to see flowers, and Aerith tells him that they bloom only here in Midgar. And then I believe Zack suggest that she sell flowers in Midgar, and Aerith thinks it over and tells him she's never thought about it. Translated, what Zack says is close to "Midgar, lots of flowers. Wallet, lots of cash".
So Zack decides to leave and Aerith asks him where he's going, he says he doesn't know. Aerith than says she'll walk with him, and Zack asks where to. She says she doesn't know. Zack, jokingly says, "Can it be, that you want to be with me?" and Aerith nods much to Zack's surprise. She then tells him that she'll walk him to the road back to Plate.

While walking, they are attacked by monsters. Aerith says they have to run away, but Zack says it's okay and takes care of the monsters. Then he asks Aerith if he was cool, and she casually says no. Zack tells her that at times like these, she should be more something (sorry, couldn't figure out what he said). She just says that they should get going and continues walking. Zack shouts, "hellooo!?" before chasing after her. They then talk about the lack of a sky, and Zack tells her that one day he'll take her to see it.

They enter the marketplace, and as they do, a little boy bumps into Zack and tells him to stop standing in the way, then runs off. Aerith tells Zack to check his belongings and Zack notice that his wallet (i think) is gone. Aerith apologizes and says she knows the kid and that he doesn't do that usually, and says she'll find him and get his wallet back. So she runs off to find the kid.

After getting fooled by a few of the people, Zack finally finds the kid and chases him towards Aerith, who stops the kid. Zack and Aerith find out that the reason the boy stole Zack's wallet was because a monster at the park ate his own wallet, and he needed money to buy medicine. Zack runs off and defeats the monsters and finds the wallet, but he couldn't help but look inside. Turns out the kid has more money than he does, lol. After returning the wallet, the little kid pokes fun at Zack's lack of money, and Zack retorts saying that he and Aerith are going to sell flowers (confirming what I said earlier, hehe). After the kid runs off, Aerith asks if Zack really wants to sell flowers, and he says of course, and says that they should make a wagon to sell the flowers on.

Zack and Aerith check out a shop, and the owner asks her if she's with her boyfriend. She says, "No, But I wonder/dunno..." (hard for me to translate "dou ka na." dou meaning how, and ka na is a question form). He tells her that she has a good boyfriend, but she tells him he's not and that they just met, but she does that question thing again. Zack offers to buy her a gift from one of the shops as a thank you for waking him up with her "hellooo?" but she doesn't want it. So then he says it'll be a gift in memory of their meeting, and she agrees. And voila, Aeris now has the ribbon that she's known to wear, thanks to Zack.

Zack and Aeris now head off to the park, and she asks Zack if he's ever met a Soldier before, and he says maybe. (Either Zack is pretending he isn't a Soldier, or he has amnesia from the fall). She then questions if they're happy, and Zack asks what she means. Aerith says that children want to be them, and they're heroes that protect the world, but they're not normal. She doesn't really understand it, but has heard that they undergo a special operation. Zack says that it seems like it. Aerith continues to say that she believes being ordinary/normal is to be happy/the best, and that Soldiers are scary because they love to fight. At this point, Zack reveals to her that he's a Soldier, and she apologizes.

Aerith then says "Pretty" and Zack asks if she's talking about his face, but she says it's his eyes. Zack tells her that if that's the case, she can stare at it more and poses. He then says something I can't make out, but I'm assuming he was teasing Aerith because she pushes him and says "geez." Zack asks her if his eyes resemble the color of the sky, and she agrees, saying that this kind of sky isn't scary. (I'm assuming earlier when they were talking about the sky she might have mentioned she had a bad experience? Not sure). He then says it's true that everything around him isn't normal (backtracking a bit, when Zack was about to step on the flowers, Aerith told him that normally people would be more careful around flowers, but then Zack apologized and said he wasn't normal) and asks Aerith if she has any problems of her own. She says that today a Soldier fell from the sky, and he says that it's not a bad thing and she agrees.

Zack suddenly gets a phone call, and it turns out to be Sephiroth (geez, way to KILL the mood Sephie, haha). He's telling Zack to return because Genesis is doing something. Aerith says she'll return now, but asks if she can meet him again, and he says "of course". Before she leaves, she tells him that it's a good thing to help a friend.

As Zack is about to return to above, the thief kid from earlier shows up and gives Zack a materia, and tells him that he looks good with Aeris as a couple, and that Aeris thinks that he's wonderful.

Angeal descends from the sky and asks Zack to lend him his power, but Zack says, "Should I? I don't understand what you're thinking at all." Angeal admits that he himself doesn't even know, but he wants Zack to fight with him against all those who would harm the planet. Zack agrees. Angeal picks him up and flies off to Shinra, saying that flying is a great thing. Back at Shinra HQ, Angeal and Zack meet up with Sephiroth. Apparently Angeal is on the side of of Zack and Sephiroth/Shinra again. They split up to take care of the intruder. When Zack is by himself, he confirms that fact that he has absolutely no idea what Angeal is thinking, but he's glad the he's fighting side by side with Angeal again and that's good enough for now.

Zack then meets up with Hoji I think), and tries get him to go with him, but Hoji begins talking about a lifeform that fell from the sky, and calls it Jenova. He then asks Zack if he'll fight against his monster so he can collect some date. Zack's pride as a 1st class soldier being on the line, he agrees.

When Hoji presses the switch, nothing happens. Genesis now descends from the sky and holds out his sword at Hoji. Hoji asks if he was ordered by Holland to do this, then proceeds to ask Genesis if he really thinks Holland can cure his detoriating condition. Hoji shakes his head and says that it's really pitiful, adding "There's no way an inferior scientist and cure your detoriation."
Angeal steps in and tells Genesis to stop already, to which Hoji comments "My my, how rare." Genesis quotes another passage from loveless, something about already losing one's pride and dreams. He quotes another passage, something about firing the goddess's arrow at everything. Hoji says something technical about discovering something, but I couldn't quite make it out. Genesis blows a hole in the wall, turns back and says something about having meaning in having the goddess's gift (not sure if this is correct) then flies off, with Zack and Angeal flying off after him.

Genesis lands on top of a spire and quotes some more passages, the last line meaning something about giving you a peaceful sleep, then casts a summon spell. Zack states the obvious that Gensis is summoning again, and Angeal sets him down, telling Zack, "Leave Genesis to me. Since it's you, you'll beat the summon."

Aerith calls Zack, who responds with, "Aerith, I'll call you back later. A guest has arrived." Not sure about how to translate what Zack says to the "gundam" bahamut. I think it's something like "No excuses for leaving early" or "The guest doesn't get any excuses." After the battle, Zack is left all alone, asking himself where everyone went.

Zack is standing by the window talking on his cellphone. He hangs up and the grunt asks him who was on the phone. Zack tells him that it was Sephiroth. They then converse about something I couldn't quite make out. Something about Zack not knowing something, and Sephiroth doing something int he conference room. A call from Aerith interrupts their conversation.

She's calling him to ask him when he's going to make "it." Zack isn't quite sure what she's talking about, and she reminds him about the flower wagon, and throws in that Zack probably forgot. Zack tells her that there's no way he can forget and that he'll head over right away.

Past the train station at the entrance to the slums, Angeal shows up once again. Zack asks where he's been and what he's up to. Angeal apologizes and says that he'll be busy from now on. He's going to chase after Genesis and Holland in Modelheim (I think?) and just came to let Zack know. Zack also mentions that Sephiroth has apparently locked himself inside a conference room or something. Angeal takes off.

As Zack walks up the steps to the chapel where Aerith is, Tseng shows up and tells him there's a job/mission in Modelheim. Zack says he knows, but tells him to wait for a bit. Tseng proceeds to tell him that Aerith isn't around. Zack grumbles and turns around, asking Tseng what his relationship is with Aerith. Tseng tells him that it's a complicated one, and asks if there's anything between him and Aerith. Zack says "nooothiiing~" in his Zack way, and Tseng says "In that case, same here." A helicopter lands and Zack walks towards, saying "Then that's fine. Then that's fiiiiiiiineee."

On the way to Modelheim, the helicopter crashes in the mountains. Zack is sprawled out on the snow, talking to himself, "Man a monster came outta nowhere and greeted out." He gets up and looks for Tseng and the others. Tseng notes that his cell phone has no service, but Zack says that since everyone is okay, they'll manage somehow. Tseng then says they should follow the path as it'll eventually lead to Modelheim, and Zack leads the way.

As they're heading down the pass, Zack shouts back at the laggards and tells them not to be slow, but there is one person that's walking besides him and Zack compliments him on being able to keep up. The grunt says that he's also from the country side. Zack asks where, and the grunt tells him, "NIbelheim." Zack laughs, and the grunt asks him where he's from. Zack replies, "Gongaga." The grunt laughs and Zack says, "Hey, you're laughing! You're laughing aren't you? Do you know it.?" The grunt responds, "No, but the name sounds very rural." Zack then says that Nibelheim has mako (I think) and then he mentions something about Midgar, then they both say in unison, "There's nothing elsewhere." or "Midgar has nothing else." (not sure which one, sorries.)

Zack turns around and shouts to Tseng, "Tseng, Me and..." he turns towards the grunt he's speen speaking with, who then removes his helmet and introduces himself as Cloud. Zack continues, "As long as me and Cloud are here, there's nothing to be afraid of on this planet!" Tseng replies, "Yea...I'll leave it to you then."

After reacing a flat plain on the snowy mountain, Zack suggests they wait for Tseng and the other grunt to catch up. Cloud takes this opportunity to ask him what it's like to be a Soldier. Zack says he doesn't really understand the question, but tells Cloud he'll find out himself, but Cloud doubtfully says, "If I even become one." Zack tells him he'll be fine, and that he himself just become one in the war.

They then look over the cliff and see a factory there. Finally catching up, Tseng tells them that they're conducting mako experiments in there. Zack says he'll check it out, but Tseng tells him that their real mission is Modelheim. Not sure what else is said, something about maybe they might use this base as a backup, so they should check it out anyways. Zack then tries to sneak in while the rest watches from the clifftop.

Genesis, with streaks of white hair showing his degenerating condition, has his sword drawn, pointing towards Holland's neck. Holland stammers, "What are you doing? You need me! If I'm not around/dead, who's going to stop your detoration?" Zack arrives in the elevator, and before Zack rushes him and knocks the sword out of the way, Gensesis says, "Jenova cells." Saved by Zack, Holland tries to run but Cloud grabs him from behind. Cloud struggles to hold him, but is knocked down. Holland than hides behind Zack, telling Genesis that whoever told him about the Jenova cells doesn't know where they are stored, and even Hojo doesn't know where they are.

To this, Genesis responds, "Then I'll just rot away, but the world will join me!" (literally, the world will be my companion/fellow traveler. I love Japanese phrases). Holland then runs away, and as Zack holds off Genesis, he tells Cloud to go after Holland. Zack and Genesis begin to fight.

After Zack defeats Genesis, Genesis quotes yet another passage from "Loveless." Something about hope, and flying and wings >_<. As he collapses, Genesis says, "This is the fate of a monster." To this, Zack responds, "We aren't monsters. We're Soldiers, right? What happened to your pride?"

Genesis, with much effort, stands up and quotes yet another passage. "A tomorrow without promises, let's definitely return to the place where you stand." He then spreads his wing and hovers in the air, saying, "If this world is going to threaten my life...I've already been lead to that path." With this, he free falls into darkness. Zack runs to the edge and looks down as Genesis's silhouette disappears.

Zack emerges from the factory, wondering where Tseng and Cloud went. He stares at the entrance to the tunnel and wonders if it'll take him to Modelheim.

Zack emerges from the other end of the tunnel, and continues on into another abandoned facility. There, he is ambushed by a griffin, which after Zack defeats, is revealed to have Angeal's face. Zack looks around and wondrs if Angeal is here, too. Zack then heads up the stairs, only to find Cloud lying face down on the floor. Zack tells Cloud to hold on as he struggles to get up, but falls back down. He says he's alright. Zack looks up and sees Tseng lying against the doorway.

Zack runs over to check on him, and Tseng tells him not to worry about him and to go after Holland. He also tells him that Angeal is also waiting for him. Zack enters the room to see Angeal standing there. Angeal, with his back still facing Zack, tells him that he should've been the one to fight Genesis. Not sure what Zack says in response, but Angeal now turns around and points his sword towards, Zack, proclaiming, "But the next job is for you alone."

Zack asks what the meaning of this, but Angeal attacks Zack. Zack tells Angeal to stop, but Angeal says, "You have someone waiting for you, don't you?" (this is about Aerith. if you payed closed attention to when Zack leaves the steps of the chapel, you see a white fleather float down...dum dum dum). Zack, not knowing what to believe, draws his own sword and asks Angeal, "Are you serious/for real?"

They cross swords, and at this point, Holland walks in, saying, "Good job, Angeal. We will now get rid of the resentment between us father and son." Surprised, Zack asks, "Father and son?" Angeal tells him to shut up and says that his father is dead. Holland responds, "Then tell me, why did your mother have resentment?" Angeal says, "Mother was ashamed of the past. She took her own life.

Holland turns away, "Shame? That's wrong. I think it was becauue of pride. She used her own name for the code name of the project. Project G. That is, Project Gillian." Infuriated, Angeal grabs Holland by the collar and tells him not to mention his mother's name with that mouth of his. Holland now tells him that Gillian has Jenova cells inside of her, and (I'm not sure about this part) that Genesis was either 1.) created from her embryos, 2.) had her embryo material injected into Genesis, or 3.) had her genetic material, fused with Jenova cells, injected into Genesis while he was in an embyronic state (with another mother or something.), however, Genesis was a failure. But he tells Angeal that he's different, that he's perfect.

Angeal pushes Holland down, and tells Zack, "I am completely a...monster" and that his cells are able to be injected into other creatures. Holland now gets back up and says something about Jenova's power (from the cells I'm assuming).

Angeal walks by Zack, saying "Zack, do you remember? The promise we both made to defeat all those who would harm this planet?" Zack replies, "Yes, but you're different." Angeal says that he'll bear the suffering by himself, then he turns around ands tells Zack to show him his conviction to the promise. Holland tries to stop Angeal, telling him that he won't be able to go back/revert.

Angeal raises his hand, and summons some monsters. Zack turns around to face them and Holland runs towards Angeal, shouting, "Even if it's just one cell!" but Angeal shoves him away. The monsters rush toward Zack, but run past him and jump onto Angeal, where they fuse together to become a true monster. Holland takes this time to run while Zack fights the new monster Angeal. Frustrated, Zack yells, "Angeal, what happened to your pride!?" With no other choice, Zack prepares for battle.

After defeating Angeal, Angeal is lying on the floor, face very pale, looking up at Zack. He tells Zack that he did a good job. He holds up his sword and tells Zack that the rest is up to him. Zack, starting to cry, takes the sword. Angeal tells him not to forget his pride, and dies.

Zack stands up, holding the Buster Sword in front of him, and remembers the words Angeal spoke to him before, "Hold on to your dreams, Zack. If you want to become a hero, hold on to your dreams...and also, your pride." Rain starts to fall, and Zack stares up into the night sky.

Aerith, sitting on the floor, asks Zack, "Hey, Zack, If we went to the street above, the sky will be close, right? It might be scary, but the flowers will be happy....probably" Turning around, she sees Zack sitting on the floor, crying. Slowly making her way towards, she wraps her arms around him behind to comfort him.

Now back at Shinra HQ, Zack sits all by himself. He now has a scar from Angeal's attack ((when they fought, Angeal thrust his sword at Zack, cutting across the cheek. The scar reminds me of Kenshin >_<). Zack stands up, revealing a new hairstyle and a more mature look, and walks off.

As Zack walks by a line of grunts ((I don't know what else to call them, since there's a differentiation between them and Soldier)), he stop and pants one of them on the shoulder, telling them to keep up the hard work ((or 'good luck' if u want)) if they want to become a Soldier. ((His voice also sounds deeper to me)). He continues walking, and asks if everyone is gathered, to which everyone answers with a "Hai". He then comments that everyone is new here, and everyone says "Yes! Please take care of us!."

Looking at them all, he tells, them, "I have only one advice....no, it's an order." Pulling out the Buster Sword, he holds it up and places his forehead against it. Afterwards, he lowers the sword and tells everyone to hold onto their dreams tightly, following up with, "Then no matter when, never give up a Soldier's pride." Before heading out, he tells everyone that they will all definitely come back here again. He holds the sword up, and the screen fades to black.

Some words are shown: "Project G was the experiment of Angeal's mother. I delivered Holland back to Shinra HQ. After that, I was given the opportunity to command. Seems the company is concered with/about 'Gota' There is always a lot of people around me. I said, 'Suddenly days off became important;' but I wonder...but I won't tell anyone about what happened to Angeal and Genesis. It'll be as if they're not here anymore. Everyone, what do you think a Soldier is/represents? From this point on, what should I fight for? A Soldier's pride, just what is it?"
((**Notes: Not entirely too sure about the accuracy of some of the things here. Don't know what "Gota" is =T It was written in katakana. Not too sure on the accuracy of bringing Holland back to Shinra, or Angeal and Genesis not being there anymore. Wasn't sure how to trasnlate motokarainakatta, i split it into moto kara inakatta. Everything else should be accurate though))

Now on the beach, Zack is doing leg squats. Cissnei comes down the steps and asks Zack if she should put some oil on him, ((or mebbe she was asking him to put oil on her!? XD)) but Zack tells her that it's okay, and folows up with "What's up with this? Am I going to become dry(?)" Cissnei tells him that it's okay to take a breather. Zack finishes his leg squats and says that he's going to try to contact someone.

Cissnei tells her that if he's looking for the supervisor/exec manager, he's not here anymore and that he's missing since he was the person administering funds to Holland, and there's also been some embezzlement going on in the company. Surprised, Zack says, "That Executive?" Cissnei tells him that she should know about various things since Holland is in the middle of an investigation.

Zack, looks away and asks what's going on with everybody, and asks, "What's everyone thinking?" Cissnei responds by telling him, "The truth lies only within that person. But even that truth, for an instance, becomes doubtful."

Zack then says that he's going to go "there" for a bit, and Cissnei asks, "Is it Aerith?" Surprised, Zack asks, "How do you know? Are you keep an eye on me?" To which Cissnei replies, "No, the one we're keeping an eye on is Aerith. She's an Ancient, the planet's only remaining member. You didn't know?" Zack tells her that Aerith never said anything to him. and repeats to himself, "The only one in this world....I guess so."

They arrive in Junon and Zack defeats some more Genensis Copies. Tseng bends down and inspects one of the the copies and says that Holland is here, and also says "This something is unrelated to that though." ((couldn't read the something kanji)). Zack says that this isn't over yet, and Tseng says they have to hurry, telling Zack to protect Holland. Zack says, "You want me to protect Holland? ((I couldn't figure out the second line ><) Tseng tells him that Holland still has some secret, classified information, and that he has to protect Holland, this being a direct order from the president. He also says with Lazard's disappearance, the Soldier structure is unstable.

Suddenly, Tseng shows up and warns them to be careful because some Genesis Copies have shown up. After defeating them, Zack says, "There are still some of these guys left? But Genesis is already..." Tseng cuts him off, "Genesis, is probably still around." Zack just goes, "Huh?" and Tseng continues, "When one loses their body, the soul returns to the lifestream." He continues to explain that Genesis is probably still creating copies from the Lifestream. (I think?) They then head off to Junon. Cissnei tells Zack that he needs to take the elevator up.

Exiting from the elevator, Zack sees another Genesis copy, almost perfect resemblance, complete with white hair, standing there, wielding a gunblade. A soldier shows up after Zack defeats the copy to report that Holland escaped from wherever he was. Zack asks if he did it on his own accord, but the solider tells him that the timing of the attack is too good and someone must have helped him. Zack asks in which direction Holland ran off to, and goes off after him. After defeating yet another perfect resemblance Genesis copy, Holland runs out of a house further down the street. He sees Zack and tries to run away again. Zack gives chase, but hears a screeching sound coming from behind. Another Genesis copy shows up and fires a bullet at him. Zack narrowly blocks it, saying that was dangerous. He tells them that the doesn't have time for this, and dispatches them..

Upon reaching the gate, Zack is about to press the switch when he's attacked yet again. This time Zack tells them that they're annoyingly persisitant. Zack defeats them and opens the gate. He sees Holland and yells at him to stop. Holland simply goes, "Hmph," and runs over and opens the next gate. A giant tank comes rolling out to attack Zack. After destroying the tank, Tseng shows up to inform Zack that they've almost completely regained control of this area. Zack confirms that that area is alright, and that Holland escaped from this area, so he'll be going after him.

There are now other people in the room with Zack. Zack makes his way to the other gate to chase after Holand, but he stops and asks someone leaning up against the wall if they're okay. He says he's fine, just a little motion sickness from the helicopter. The person turns around and it's Cloud. Cloud is glad that Zack remembers him, and Zack is glad that they get to meet again, telling him that after they've safely completed this mission, he'll treat Cloud to lunch. Cloud responds by saying that he's happy, and will join Zack as soon as he feels better, but this talk of food only makes his condition worse. Zack apologizes and tells him to get better.

On the other side of the gate, Zack realizes that Holland intends to escape at the airfield. Upon catching up to Holland, Holland turns around and asks Zack if it's really okay to keep chasing after him. At this point, two robots descend from the sky. Holland says, "If you don't defeat these robots, I wonder what'll happen to Junon?" With that, Holland escapes to the other side of the gate. Zack realizes that he intends to use the robot to destroy the gate he just came from and attack everyone inside. He says he won't forgive Holland for this, and goes to destroy the robots before they get to the gate.

At the airfield, Zack is attacked by a giant robot scorpion. After dispatching the robotic arachnid, Zack corners Holland at the edge of the airfield, which is several hundred feet above the sea. Holland turns around, defeated, and asks Zack what he's going to do now, but a smile slowly creeps across his face. He spreads his arms, and falls backwards off the edge. Zack takes a few steps towards the edge, saying, "Hey! No way..." ((he actually says baka na, which means literally 'stupidly' but has the usage as 'impossible' or 'no way')). Suddenly, two wings appear from below the edge, and and Holland is being carried away by two Genesis copies. Zack, pissed, watches them fly away and says, "Damn, he got me."

Cissnei and another turk run past Zack as Sephiroth comes in behind them. He tells Zack, "Mission failed. That's a huge minus on your assessment." Zack turns around, surprised, jokingly says, "Sephiroth? It's been 100 years ((since I last saw you))" Sephiroth tells Zack to leave the rest to the Turks, and throws in that he heard that Zack was here ((in Junon)) on his way to Modeoheim. Zack says he's happy that Sephiroth came.

Sephiroth proceeds to tell Zack that Genesis copies are still showing up all over the world. Zack asks how this can be, stating that all the Genesis copies should've been wiped out. Sephiroth, in turn, asks Zack if Genesis was really dead. Zack flashes back, and realizes he only saw Genesis fall. Sephiroth continues to tell him that the copies have also appeared in Midgar, also specifically mentioning the Slums. He tells Zack, "You have my permission, so go back." Sephiroth, casually says "Later" (ja na) and Zack says, "See ya" (mata). ((seems like everyone knows about him and Aerith))

Before leaving, Zack asks how the mission in Modeoheim Went. Sephiroth tells him, "The equipment that Holland was using was completely destroyed." Zack asks, "Genesis?", and Sephiroth tells him, "Most likely."

Now, acting very timidly, Zack tries to ask Sephiroth something. Most likely knowing what he wants to ask, Sephiroth smiles and tells him, "We'll be able to meet again soon." Zack, regaining his cool, tells him "Definitely..." Zack walks away as Sephiroth smiles.

Genesis, standing atop a tower spire, quotes a passage from Loveless: "You, with a loud voice, bring up life, the goddess's gift,"
"Now, hand it down ((probably the goddess's gift)), your sacrifice, the end of the world"
"Crossing over the water's surface which is unknown to man, the five virtues of the wind, leniently/slowly, certainly"

Back in the Slums of Midgar, Zack rushes towards the chapel where Aerith is, however he stops in the middle of the road, and says, "for some reason, I have a bad feeling...Maybe it's my imagination?" and takes off again, not noticing the robot following him Upon entering the chapel, Zack sees a griffin inside next to Aerith. Placing his hand on his sword, he slowly makes his way towards the griffin. As he gets closer, the griffin rears its head up, revealing Angeal's face underneath. Seeing this, Zack removes his hand from his sword, realizing it's an Angeal copy.

Suddenly, the chapel doors swing wide open and the robotic turret rolls in. Zack turns around to face it, but the Angeal copy griffin lunges at the robot and destroys it. Seizing the opportunity, Zack jumps in front of Aerith to protect her, but thanks the griffin for destroying the robot. The griffin raises its head and wings into the ear when it hears this. Aerith asks, "I wonder if it came h ere to protect me?" and Zack responds, "I seems like it." However, the griffin suddenly collapses. Zack and Aerith walk up to it. Inspecting it, Zack says that it's because of the detoriation, and Aerith says, "Poor thing." Zack says, "Angeal, too. Is he somewhere right now?"

The griffin gets up slowly, spreads its wings and flies off. Aerith says, "That child, somehow, looks sad." Staring up at the griffin as it flies away, Zack asks, "What did you come here to do?"

In order to break the sad atmosphere, Aerith turns to Zack and suggest that they build the flower wagon. Zack says okay, but is hesitant because of the Griffin, but Aerith assures him it'll be okay. Zack looks up at the griffin, now perched up on a beam high up in the chapel and points, shouting, "You, watch steadily from up there....from here on, I'll do something about all this..." Aerith takes a few steps before turning around and repeating, "Hey, let's build the wagon."

Aerith calls Zack over to the flower patch, and as he comes closer, she says, "Hey, if we make the wagon, that means I'll have to sell flowers on the streets above, right?" Answering her own question, Aerith says, "Yea...It's still a little scary though." Looking back up at Zack, she says, "First we have to have lots of flowers all over the Slum." Zack replies with, "Geeze, what are you saying? When you go up above, I'll be there with you. There's nothing to worry about" Aerith thanks him. Zack now says, "Since that's settled, let's get working on that wagon! I'll go gather some wood. Aerith, please wait here"
((*Note: Just a little side note, but at this point Zack receives a cellphone mail from kanseru, the guy at the beginning of the game and periodically sends you mail. The mail basically says that Zack is probably with Aerith again, and asks how come Zack never told him anything. He wants Zack to tell him stuff from now, even the painful things, and the burdening things. I thought it was cute. Also, he recieves a mail from Cissnei talking about the disapperance of Lazard and it's effect on Soldier, but mainly focuses on how she'll busy busy from here on, but wants to know if he wants to go to the beach again someday since their trip was ruined, saying that in order work efficiently they need a break occasionally. Also cute i though, hehe))

Outside the chapel, waiting for Zack are more robot turrets. Zack, says, "Ah, so there were more of these guys here. Well, let's hurry up and get this over with" Tseng shows up and tells Zack that those were self propelled weapons, and they detect and attack monsters. He also mentions that they are deployed throughout Midgar to fight Genesis copies and have nearly exterminated all the copies.

Zack comments that that's pretty amazing, but asks, "What was I attacked then? Can't these guys tell the difference between monsters and Soldiers?" Tseng crosses his arms, and responds, "......not at this point." to which Zack expresses his dislike. Tseng assures Zack that they're working on fixing the problem. Zack then turns around and crosses his arms, telling Tseng that he's also displeased with him because he was keeping watch over/observing Aerith.

Tseng starts to walk off, and Zack yells after him, "You're not going to explain?" Tseng just says, "If you want to go play with Aerith, I won't really stop you. I'm just carrying out the Turks' duty." Zack replies, "I'm not playing around! I'm protecting Aerith too as a Soldier."

At this point, a little boy runs up to the two of them and asks Zack if he's making a flower wagon, saying, "What a guy...". ((He also mentions something about Aerith, but I couldn't make out the kanji because it was too small, maybe trying to take her away?)) Zack responds with, "No no! This, this is...in order to protect Aerith....Hey, hey Tseng!" Tseng had walked away while Zack was talking to the boy.

With the little boy's help, Zack heads off to find materials to build the flower wagon with. They look all over the Slums for stuff that fell from above which might be salvageable. Just outside, Zack finds a Soldier helmet, but decides that it's not useful, so he puts it back. A bit further down he founds something else, which he takes. At the marketplace, Zack finds some wood that he can use, but it belongs to someone else. Hearing that it's for Aerith, the guy agrees to give it to Zack, but only under one condition, he has to come up with a name for a shop. ((This guy likes to use English a lot, like sense, style, image, dynamite!)) After much thinking, Zack suggests Seventh Heaven ((now where have I heard that before?)). Now, over at Loveless Street, Zack talks to the guy standing in front of the car, who gives him some parts hearing that it's for Aerith. The kid shows up again, mentioning that he lost his treasure, which seems to be the Soldier helmet Zack found earlier. After helping the kid find it, he heads home and Zack decides he kept Aerith waiting long enough and goes to see her.

Zack returns to Aerith, and she welcomes him back and asks if he's gathered all the materials already. Seeing that he did, they start building the wagon from the materials he gathered Aerith tells Zack that the materials give off a good vibe, and that they've come together perfectly.

Sighing and furrowing her eyebrows, Aerith says that it isn't really that cute, but Zack tells her it's fine, because the main thing is the flowers. She tells him that she can't agree to that in a pouting manner, and Zack tells her not to talk about extravagance/luxury ((that's literally what he said, "zeitaku iwanai"). She conveys to him, "I'm just telling you my modest hopes." to which Zack replies, "If it's modesty/meagreness ((sasayaka means modest or meagre, so this is a play on words i think)), there's lots of it ((meaning the materials)). She turns around and looks up at him, playfully asking, "Did you ask around?" Zack asks how many there are, and Aerith, after counting her fingers for a bit, tells him. "Hmmm....twenty...three?" Defeated, Zack tells her to write it down on a piece of paper because he'll forget."

Zack's phone rings and he answers it. It's Sephiroth telling him that the situations changed (man, Sephiroth loves killing her...and Zack's mood.)) and that he needs to return. Disappointed, Zack lets out a mumble, and Aerith asks him if it's his job. Zack tells her unfortunately it is. She then hands him the piece of paper and he takes it, nodding at her. She looks back at him, and smiles.

Back at Shinra HQ, Sephiroth tells him there's an outbreak of monsters around the Mako Reactor and that the circumstances of the employees there are unknown, and they've also been unable to contact the Soldiers in that vicinity. Shinra will be carrying out an investigation and sending Soldiers there, and Zack and Sephiroth will be going, too. Zack responds, "Understood" unethusiastically, and Sephiroth gives a concerned look, asking him what's wrong. ((Not sure how to trasnlate what Zack says, but this is what i think he said)) It's just that, I'm not sure I really understood what happened back "there."

Sephiroth proceeds to tell him that the soldiers they've lost contact with were chasing after Lazard. It seems that Lazard was searching for the machine ((not sure what the machine is called, but it's Holland's, the one that was supposedly destroyed)). Zack, looking for confirmation, asks if it was the one that belonged to Holland. Sephiroth tells him most likely, since it was snatched away from Modeoheim, and that Lazard and Holland are there...and... Zack finishes by saying Genesis.

Sephiroth tells him, "You have to go see him now, right?" and Zack confirms it. Sephiroth tells him to go to the Soldier floor and get the preparations ready. As Zack starts to leave, Sephiroth tells him, "Both of us are in charge of this investigation." He then looks down and continues, "My old acquaintance ((most likely referring to Genesis)) never said anything to me. Depending on the situation, I might have been the one to abandon Shinra. Until then, I'm a Soldier of Shinra."

On the Soldier floor, Zack comments how nobody is here yet. Just then, Kanseru shows up and tells him he knows that Zack'll be going on a mission with Sephiroth, and that they'll be separated for a short while from each other. Zack, thinking it over, looks down and says, "Yea...separated..." Distrubed, Kanseru asks what's wrong, and is he really that disturbed by them being seperated? ((at this point, you have two choices to chose from, the first being "Because I'll be separated from Aerith." and the second "It's because I like you" I chose the first option)). Kanseru says, "I see. You're in love with her, right Zack? Do you intend to stay here the entire time? You still have time, right? Go see her before we head out. It'll be okay. I'll tell Sephiroth." With Kanseru covering for him, Zack heads out to see Aerith again.

At the chapel, Aerith asks him was finished with job yet, but Zack tells him not yet. He tells her he'll be going on an important mission and will be away from Midgar for a while. He's asked by Aerith when he'll be returning, but he doesn't know. Aerith looks down, afraid of the answer, but she asks anyways, "Is it okay if I call you?" and, putting his hand on his hips, he tells her that of course it is.

Loolking back up at him, she says, "Oh, let's go do it now!" Confused, Zack rosses his arms, "Hmm? Do what?" Aerith repeats the words that Zack had said to her, "First, lots of flowers in the Slums."

Zack and Aerith head off to the park. As Aerith pushes the flower cart ((looks more like a cart than a wagon)), Zack tells her that the flowers are cute and gives him a good feeling inside. She turns towards him and says, "I wonder if people will buy them?"

After some time, Aerith says, "Nobody's coming..." Zack, trying to cheer her up, quickly tells her to wait a little longer, and then there'll be lots of customers. Aerith responds, "I think it's because the cart isn't cute afterall." She suddenly looks up, exclaiming, "Ah, a customer!" Zack runs over to the passerby and asks him if he'll buy some flowers, adding, "For a short time only, they're only 10 gil! At this price, it's a steal. It'll be your loss if you don't buy them."

Aerith chuckles to herself at Zack's effort. He quickly runs back to her and tells her that the guy'll buy it for 5 gil. She tells him that it's fine no matter the price. Zack tells her that that's no good and she can't give in here. She should negotiate for 7 gil and be more aggressive. To this, she responds, "But...the customer left..."

Zack apologizes, but she asks what for? She tells, "I'm having a lot of fun, because I'm with you right now." Aerith notices a little boy walking into the park, and this time, she goes and talks to him. As she runs off, Zack looks to the side, and notices that Tseng has been keeping an eye on them. He decides to talk to Tseng while Aerith tries to get the little boy to buy a flower.

Tseng tells Zack not to worry about Aerith because his mission is the safety and protection of Aerith from any danger. Relieved, Zack tells him that there's nobody he would ask. Tseng laughs. After shouting at Tseng for laughing, he tells her to please take care of her, then returns to Aerith's side.

Btw, I'm really pissed off cause I had typed out everything that happened all the way past nibelheim and when cloud and zack head to the mansion, but somehow i lost it all. i usualy type it all out in the box, then copy everything that's too long to make the post fit, but then when i did paste, it wasn't there nemore. and when i ht back on gamefaqs, the entire section was missing. wtf!?!?!?!
so, if the rest of the summary seems lackluster, don't blame me.

Later, Zack heads back to Shinra HQ, where Kanseru tells him that luck is on his side because Sephiroth hasn't returned yet, and asks him what he's going to do. Zack thanks him for helping him out, and heads off to prepare. Around the corner, he sees a grunt and asks him what's going on. The grunt tells him that the others aren't here yet. Annoyed, Zack says that they're in a hurry and everyone needs to hurry up, but he suddenly realizes that it's Cloud he was talking to, and says, "Ah, we're together again. Take care of me." to which Cloud says the same before running off to get the rest of the team.

With the team of three members lined up, Sephiroth comes in. Zack asks Sephiroth where they're going. In the background, Cloud gives a surprised look as he hears Sephiroth say, "Nibelheim."

In Nibelheim, Sephiroth says, "It's been a while since you've returned home. How does it feel? I don't have a hometown, so I wouldn't know." Zack asks about his parents, and Sephiroth tells him, "My mother's name is Jenova. She died as soon as I was born. My father....." Sephiroth starts to laugh, and continues, "Just what am I talking about?" He turns around and walks off, finishing with, "Let's go.", Zack ponders over what Sephiroth said, repeating it to himself, "The name of Sephiroth's mother is...Jenova? Hmmm...." ((i watched this scene like three times XD))

A girl shows up ((Tifa. The text box shows her name, but she never introduces herself)) and asks them if they're the soldiers in charge of the investigation. Zack introduces himself, and mentions that he's a 1st class, twice. The girl asks him if there are lots of 1st class soldiers and Zack answers that only a select few are. She then continues to ask him if there's only two of them currently, and Zack says that it's only him and Sephiroth. She turns away, disappointed, and says to herself, "I see..." As she starts to walk away, she suddenly turns back around and is about to ask Zack something else, but she stops, and runs off. Zack says to himself, "What a strange girl."

Sephiroth tells them that they should get some sleep since the investigation won't begin until tomorrow morning, but Zack tells him to go ahead first since they have some business around town. As he heads into the inn, Sephiroth says, "That's true. You'll probably want to see your friends and family..." Zack turns and asks Cloud why he's still wearing his mask. Cloud tells him that it's not really any of his business. ((Running around town, you get a mail from Cissnei asking Zack if he's heard of the book Loveless, the one that Genesis loves. She then asks him if he wants to check out the place Loveless back in Midgard together to look for hints. hehe))

Upstairs at the Inn, Zack sees Sephiroth staring at the window, and asks him what he's looking at. ((sidenote: upon entering the inn, Zack gets a mail from Cloud saying that he still remembers when Zack patted him on the shoulder and told him to hang in there, and that's the sole reason Cloud is still trying to become a soldier. thought this was touching)) Still staring out the window, Sephiroth tells him, "....This scenery....it feels like I know it."

The next morning, Tifa is waiting for them in front of the gates to the mansion. Surprised to see her there, Zack asks if she's the guide, and she tells him that there's no one better suited than her. Zack tries to dissuade her but telling her it's dangerous, and that he can't get her involved; however, Sepihroth tells him that as long as he protects here, there shouldn't be any problems.

Tagging along is a photographer who snaps photos. One of the photos has Cloud standing next to a Drake that's spread out on the ground ((the bird mob, I think that's what it's called)). Zack tells Cloud to get away from it, because as soon as it wakes up it'll eat you because it's just unconcious. ((man, took me forever to translate that because i did'nt know it was about the picture, i thought he was talking about tifa, which didn't quite make sense to me, haha)). Now standing at the entrance to the Mako Reactor, he says, "During use it becomes dirty, becomes lacking, then becomes worn down. That's why you strike with the back of the sword. ((maybe he's talking about his sword?))

Tifa expresses her desire to go inside also, but Sephiroth tells her only authorized people are allowed in because inside contains Shinra's industrial secrets. He turns and tells Cloud, who's still wearing his mask, to stay and protect her. Afterwards, he and Zack start heading up the stairs to the Mako Reactor. Tifa tries to follow but Cloud steps in and stops her.

Inside, Zack reads the wording above the door, "Jenova. What is it? The lock...I guess it won't open, huh?" He turns to leave, but stops and looks back up at the wording, exclaiming, "Jenova!?" He quickly looks at Sephiroth, who's already heading back down the steps. Sephiroth walks over to the side and looks into one of the containers, stating, "So, this is the cause of the disturbance. This section is broken." As Zack walks down the stairs to join him, he tells Zack to shut the valve." Still staring into the container, he asks himself, "Why did it break?"

Sephiroth walks over to another container and looks in inside. Zack walks up behind him and he steps aside so Zack can see, too. Peering into the porthole, Zack sees the face of a monster. Startled, Zack manages to stutter out, "T...this is..." Sephiroth tells him, "You normal Soldiers are people who've been showered with Mako. You're different from an ordinary person, but still, you're human." He turns and looks into the porthole again, "But these guys...just what are they?"

((After this point is where I somehow lost everything I typed, so it might get really sloppy from here on out cause I hate redoing stuff))

Good thing I didn't friggin save over this save file. Here it goes again, gah, I'll probably just type out the conversations now cause I don't feel like describing everything all over again.

Sephiroth turns toward Zack and tells him, "In order to make you guys unequal, you're immersed in high level concentrations of Mako"
Zack: "This is a monster?"
Sephiroth walks away, but stops: "Yes, it's true. These monsters are created by Shinra Company's very own Professor Hojo. These grotesque creatures created using Mako energy, that is the true identity of the monsters.t"
Zack, remembering something Sephiroth said earlier, says, "You said normal Soldiers before. Does that mean you're different?"

Upon hearing this, Sephiroth grabs his head in pain and staggers away. Zack tries to see if he's okay, but Sephiroth pushesZack away.
Sephiroth: "It can't be. Was this how I was born? Does this mean I'm the same as these monsters? Ever since I was a child I've felt it. I was different from them. I believed there was a special reason for my existence. But this...this isn't what I meant." Sephiroth slowly lifts his hands, staring at them, "Am I...even human?"

A voice is heard saying, "It's too bad, but unfortunately, you're a monster." A fireball hits Zack, but Sephiroth blocks it with his barehand. Genesis descends from the sky, landing behind Sephiroth, "Sephiroth, You are the ultimate monster born from the Jenova Project." Zack interrupts, "Genesis, I knew it. You were alive afterall." Genesis brings his hand up to his cheek, where signs of deterioration was showing, and says, "You can say that if you can call this condition of mine living I guess"

Sephiroth, regaining himself, demands, "Just what is the Jenova Project?" Genesis obliges and tells him, "Jenova Project is an experiment to win at all cost ((I don't remember if this is correct or not, I had difficulty translating it before and i'm not going to go through all that work again)). It's an experiment using the cells of Jenova." Sephiroth turns away, saying, "Mother's...cells?"

Genesis spreads his arms, "Oh grieving Sephiroth, you should never have even met your mother. You were only told her name, right? You don't even know what she looks like." Zack yells at Genesis to stop, but he continues anyways, "Jenova was discovered in the stratum 2000 years ago. She's a monster. Sephiroth, lend me your power. Because I can't stop my deterioration. Soldier 1st Class Sephiroth! Jenova Project G gave birth to Angeal and created a monster like me. Jenova Project S, using the other countless number of failed projects as stepping stones, created the perfect monster."

Sephiroth shakes his head and asks, "What can i do?" Genesis tells him, "You don't have the abilities of the other copies. Don't let word of this get out. In other words, your body won't deteriorate is what it means. Give me your cells."

Genesis quote Loveless once again, "You. Hope. The gift of the Goddess that raises up life." He holds out an apple, offering it to Sephiroth. Looking at the Jenova wording, Sephiroth says, "Your words, are they nothing but nonsense to lead me astray, or are they the truth that I've been searching for? Whatever they are..." he knocks the apple out of Genesis' hand, "Go rot away/Go die in obscurity" With that, Sephiroth leaves.

Genesis, in response, "I see. Just as expected from the perfect monster" He begins quoting again, "When the battle of the beats bring about the end of the world, the Goddess will return, descending from the blackened sky, spread her wings of light and shadow, and lead us to eternal bliss, with 'offerings for the dead'." ((when i looked up the word originaly for eternal bliss, it said beatittude, lol. such a weird word)) Genesis leaves, and Zack chases after him.

Outside, Cloud and Tifa are being attacked by monsters. Cloud is injured and Tifa tries to cover him. Seeing this, Zack rushes to save them. After defeating the monsters, Zack checks up on Tifa and Cloud. She tells Zack that the guy, still unaware of his true identity, was trying to protect her. Zack tells her he knows, and from this point on, not to leave his side. With that, she helps Cloud to his feet, and with Zack clearing the way, they make their trek back to the town.

Upon reaching the town, Tifa rests Cloud up against the side of a building as Zack asks aloud, "Where did Sephiroth go?" Tifa asks him what happened, but he tells her that he isn't allowed to say. She then tells him that she'll go ask around the village if anyone knows anything, and she heads off. Zack thanks her.

Zack carries Cloud upstairs to the room in the inn. After resting for some time, Cloud wakes up. Zack tells him that Tifa is safe and not to worry. Ashamed, Cloud bends his knees and puts his arms around them, and responds, "And I'm suppose to be a Soldier, too..." Zack tells him, "It seems like that Soldiers are monsters. You should quit." Hearing this surprised Cloud so he leans forward ans asks, "What happenned?" Zack leans back and tells him, "I don't even know. But I know what their intentions are." Lying back on the bed, Zack asks him, "By the way, do you know Tifa?" to which Cloud simply responds, "Sort of." Zack continues asking, "Did you talk to her?" Cloud just says, "No." Zack continues, "I understand that there is some sort of reason, but is this really okay?" Cloud buries his head into his knees between his arms.

Zack, gets up and walks around the room, "I'm somehow....Since I'm a Soldier, it's okay for me to only just fight. But the troubling things, who should I leave those up to? What is going to happen from now on? Who is the enemy now? Those kinds of things, who the heck cares!" Angrily, he grabs the Buster Sword and swings up over his head, but stops, and brings it down and places it against his forehead, letting out a deep breath. In order to ease the tension, Cloud says, "Hey Zack, I've never seen you use that sword before." Zack looks up, and remembers what Angeal had said to him, "If i use it, it'll get dirty, chipped, and worn down. If that happens, it'll be more of a waste. You're more important the the sword...only by very little though." He then remembers his own words to the new Soldier recruits, "Hold onto your dreams tightly, and then no matter when, never let go of your pride as a Soldier."

He then looks as his sword, saying, "This is a symbol representing my dreams and pride." Then pointing it towards the window, he says, "No, it is my miydream and pride. I...had lost sight of things. Thank you, Cloud." He places the Buster Sword, then rolls into bed saying, "For the time being, I going to sleep."

The next morning, Cloud still wants to rest for a little longer, so Zack heads downstairs first. In the hallway, he gets two mails, one from Cloud and the other from Tifa.
Cloud: Subject; If it's okay "Do you want to go to my mother's home today? We'll get to eat her home cooking. She's making stew today. I definitely want you to try it because her stew is the best."
Tifa: Subject: Is that person okay "The person who got injured, is he alright? He looks really hurt, so I"m worried. I'm glad that you were there. Thank you. Soldiers are really strong after all. Next time, can you tell me some details about the Soldiers? There's something I want to ask.

As soon as Zack is downstairs, Tifa comes running in telling him that Sephiroth is at the Shirna mansion. Zack asks, "That giant mansion?" Tifa responds, "Yea, it's been Shinra's sing a long time a go." She then runs back outside, and Zack follows.

Outside, Zack gets a phone call.
Aerith: Hello helloooo~
Zack: Aerith!?
Aerith: I finally got throguh!
Zack lowers the phone, then looks around before bringing it back up again.
Zack: Hey, i'm sorry but, I'm in the middle of a confusing mess right now. I"ll call you back later."
Aerith, very sadly: No, it's okay. You don't have to.
Zack, in a doting tone: I got it. I'll come see you.
Aerith: I"ll be waiting
Zack: Yea, it's a promise

((gah, they're so cute together))

After the conversation, Zack says to himself, "Aerith, just wait a little longer." Cloud and Zack head off to the mansion. On the way there, Zack recieves a mail from Kanseru telling him how he was going to protect Aerith, but the Turks were already watching over her. When he talked to her, she told him that the wheel had fallen off the flower cart, and she wants Zack to come back asap to fix it. (( I think she broke it on purpose as an excuse to get him back, hehe)). Further along, he gets another mail from Tifa.

Tifa: Subject: Even I'll fight "I don't know what Sephiroth is thinking. Do the other soldiers give off the same vibe? For example, is there a blonde haired Soldier? NO realy reason. Just a girl's aspiration, you know? When I'm in trouble, the blonde Soldier is suppose to come protect me. But waiting around just isn't any good so I've started to learn hand-to-hand combat. My instructor told me that I have good muscles."

Inside the mansion, Cloud tells him that Sephiroth is upstairs in the room to the right. Heading up the stairs, Zack receives another email from Tifa.

Tifa: Subject: Please "I forgot to say, I'm searching for the blonde Soldier. Please don't tell the other Soldiers. Please."

Upstairs, Cloud says that Sephiroth's apearance is weird and that he went downstairs through the secret door, so Zack chases after him down the secret passage. At the end of the underground cavern, is Sephiroth reading from the books, "...the apparently dead creature that was found int he stratum 2000 years ago. That creature was christened Jenova by Professor Gast. MonthX, Day X, Year X. Jenova is confirmed to be with the Ancients. Month X, Day X, Year X. Approval for the Jenova Project... Permisso to use Mako Reactor machine number 1...." He walks down the corridor still reading, "Mother's name was Jenova....Jenova Project....Is this a coincidence? Professor Gast....why didn't you tell me? .....why did you die?"

Zack checks up on Sephiroth, but he tells Zack to leave him alone. Zack heads outside, and says,
"From that point on, Sephiroth locked himself inside the Mansion....It was as if he was obsessed with the books, searching for something...The lights of that underground room were never turned off once..."

And then 7 days later

Zack awakens to the town of Nibelheim in flames. He finds Cloud lying face down on the floor, who manages to let the words, "Sephiroth..." escape his lips. At the base of the stairs to the outskirts of town, Sephiroth is waiting, standing amidst the fire. With flames burning all round him, he tells Zack, "I'm...going to retrieve her/pick her up now," and walks away, disappearing into the raging fire. Before chasing after him, Zack looks at the burning village, managing to say, "Cruel...Sephiroth...this is too cruel..."

Email from Cloud: Subject: Where are you? "Zack! Where are you right now!? Sephiroth has set the village on fire. I looks like he's chasing after Tifa and her dad. We have to stop him!!"

Inside the Mako Reactor, Tifa is lying on the floor. He rushes over to check on her, asking, "Did Sephiroth do this to you?" Zack tries to help her up, but she quickly rolls to the side and hides her face. Seeing that there's nothing he can do, he runs up the steps after Sephiroth. Half way up the steps, he stops and looks back at Tifa, who now says, "I hate it all. Shinra, Soldier, and even you, I hate it all!"

Now extremely agitated, Zack draws his buster sword and slices through the door leading to Jenova.
Inside, Sephiroth is talking to Jenova, "Mother, together, let's take back this planet. I've come up with a great idea. Let's go to the promised land....Mother..."

Enfuriated, Zack screams, "Sephiroth! Why did you kill the villagers? Why did you hurt Tifa? Answer me Sephiroth!" Sephiroth just laughs, and continues talking to Jenova, "Mother, another nuisance has come again. With mother's amazing abilities and knowledge, she should have been able to rule this world...but...those nuisances...those worthless nuisances...snatched this planet away from Mother. But, don't be sad anymore. Come with me..." With that, he rips mechanic Jenova out of the machine, revealing the true one in a cylinder. "We finally meet, Mother."

Zack draws his Buster Sword and places it against Sephiroth's head, "Sephiroth, what the heck did you do?" Sephiroth, stand still, not saying a word, before deflecting the Buster Sword with his own Masamune, sending Zack flying back a few steps. Zack, regaining his composure, yells at him, "Even though I trusted you!" before lunging at him again. Sephiroth knocks Zack off to the side and he beings to fall. Jumping after him, Sephiroth sends forth an energy wave from Masamune. Zack barely manages to block it in time, and is knocked further down. Landing on his feet, Zack looks around at the hidden, underground platform. As he turns back around, Sephiroth slowly floats down, and Zack prepares to fight him.

After crossing swords ((I wished this battle was more epic T_T), Zack is left kneeling on one knee. He stands up, and says, "No, yo're not the Sephiroth that I know anymore. With Zack's sword pointed at him, Sephiroth spreads his arms and looks upwards, "I am the chosen one. I exist to be chosen as the ruler of this world." He then channels energy into Masamune, and sends a blastwave traveling through the floor towards Zack. However, Zack blocks it, but not before being pushed towards the edge. The fight for his life begins.

Sephiroth lunges at Zack, but he dodges the attack and jumps back onto the upper platform. Sephiroth follows him up and the battle continues. The both of them press their blades up against each other, pitting strength against strength, however, Sephiroth holds no equal. He knocks Zack backwards, flying out of the Jenova chamber, and lands on the steps. The Buster Sword, dislodged from Zack's hand, lands sticking up straight into the ground. Sephiroth turns back to Jenova, and reaches his hand towards, totally unaware that Cloud is standing behind him. Picking up the Buster Sword, Cloud rushes towards Sephiroth, and pierces the Buster Sword right through Sephiroth and into Jenova's glass cylinder. He pulls the sword out and steps back. Sephiroth, placing his hand against the cylinder, slowly slides to the floor.

Cloud runs back outside. He takes off his helmet and kneels beside Tifa, taking her into his arms. But suddenly, he hears footsteps. Sephiroth emerges from the doorway, staggering, but holding Jenova's head under his arm. He looks towards Cloud, "Someone like you..." Zack calls out Cloud's name, "Cloud, finish Sephiroth..." Cloud nods, gently setting Tifa down. He picks up the Buster Sword again, and screams out Sephiroths name before jumping into the air. Sephiroth blocks the attack of the Buster Sword with the Masamune, wielding it with only one hand. With much ease and lightning speed, he spins around and sends Cloud flying into the Jenova chamber, slicing part of the doorway as he does. Cloud rolls across the floor. Sephiroth, staggers back into the chamber, lifting Masamune up, he plunges it through Cloud's body. With only one hand on Masamune, he lifts Cloud's pierced body into the air, telling him, "You pushed your luck too far! ((literally: you pushed a good thing too far))"

Cloud, fueled by his hate and anger, places his hands on Masamune, and pulls it further into his own body. Shocked, Sephiroth says, "That's...impossible..." Sephiroth has been lifted into the air by Cloud, Masamune still inside of him. Cloud then lets out a yell as he throws Sephiroth into the wall, causing the panel to explode and setting him on fire. Sephiroth falls into the darkness below, still holding onto Jenova's head.

Outside the chamber, Zack struggles to get back up, but doesn't have the strength for it. He sees Cloud staggering left and right, before collapsing and falling down the steps, eventually coming to a stop in front of him. Zack tries to reach out for Cloud while saying, "Cloud...you did good..." but he passes out.

Zack is awakened by some noise. Still weak, however, he barely manages to open his eyes and look around. He sees Hojo, who walks over to Cloud and says, "This boy is fascinating. Truly fascinating. ((literally interesting, but fascinating sounds better imo)) I can use him as a new sample." Zack closes his eyes, and passes out once again.

Angeal's voice is heard saying, "Is that even a Soldier?" The darkness clears away, and Angeal is standing there with his white wing. He continues, "I don't want a pathetic soldier like that." Zack's hand slaps the glass barrier that he is encased in now, and he screams Angeal's name, asking him to wait. But Angeal turns around, and flies away.

Zack is now standing under the blue open sky as a feather slowly floats down, landing on the water's surface which Zack is standing on. He looks up again, and speaks, "Those wings, give them to me, too" The image shatters, and everything fades to darkness once again.

A lab personnel is walking through the lab when he notices the shattered glass lying on the ground. Besides the glass lies Zack's body. He goes over and inspects what happened. Zack stands up, his body glowing with Mako energy, and knocks the personnel unconscious Walking over to the other chamber, he opens it and catches Cloud in his arms. He places Cloud on the floor, resting up against the table checks the unconscious personnel's body, finding a card key, which might come in handy later. He returns to Cloud and helps him up. Now, they have to escape.

Outside, he sets Cloud down again against the wall, telling him to wait here first, and that he'll secure the escape route first. After making sure it's safe, he heads back for cloud, and together, they slowly make it back upstairs to Shinra mansion. After exiting from the secret passage, Zack helps Cloud into the bed, telling to wait again so he can go clear the path. ((At this point there's an email from Shinra Company, stating that Cloud and Zack have been killed in the line of duty, which is followed by an email by Kanseru asking if it's true and where he was and to contact him)) Inside the mansion, Zack searches each room for something he can use. Finally, coming upon the room down the hall on the left, he searched the closets and finds a Soldier uniform which Cloud can wear. "Ah, I found something good. I can have him wear this." Once outside the mansion, Zack sets Cloud down again in order to clear the path.

Inside the village, Zack sets Cloud down again, but this time, he notices something wrong, "This village....it's returned to normal? But, this village, should've been burned down..." Just then, Soldiers come running up the entrance, shouting, "They're trying to escape! It's the Professor's samples!" Zack, trying to get them to back off, tells them, "There's no way ordinary soldiers like you can take me down!" More soldiers show up and they drag Cloud off. "This is bad. If I don't dispose of them quickly, we'll be captured. Sorry!!"

After defeating them, Zack feels a bit tired and goes down on one knees, "I knew it, my conditions...pretty bad. This is a joke, right? Regular soldiers giving me this kind of battle... " Once Zack catches his breath, he checks on Cloud, Then he stands up and says, "Let's return to the mansion, and chane the way things are done." He picks Cloud up and heads back to the mansion, telling him, "Since it's day time, and both our bodies are still weak, why don't we rest until night?"

Inside the mansion, Zack sets Cloud down in the bed. Zack notices that Cloud is still incoherent, "It can't be, is it Mako poisoning?" Zack then falls backwards onto the floor and stares up at the ceiling, "Hey, Angeal....Can't I....save anyone?" He sits back up, "Okay! First, let's change his clothes." Getting up, he walks over to Cloud, "You won't get better wearing those Mako soaked clothes like that. I found some good stuff earlier. It smells a little funny, but yea, don't complain about it."

After changing Cloud's clothes, he tells him, "Those clothes suit you pretty well." He turns around and reaches into his pocket, pulling up a piece of paper, and suddenly remembering that it was from
Aerith. He has a flashback to that time with Aerith.
"If it's modesty, there's lots of it, right". She turns around and looks up at him, playfully asking, "Do you want to hear them?" Zack asks how many there are, and Aerith, after counting her fingers for a bit, tells him. "Hmmm....twenty...three?" Defeated, Zack tells her to write it down on a piece of paper because he'll forget." ((I realized I mistranslated it, so here it is fixed. He wasn't talking about the materials, he was talking about her hopes))

But the flashback continues further.
Aerith: i have 23 modest hopes. But, because there's no way that you can remember them all, I've combined them all into one.
She hands him the piece of paper, and while smiling, she says, "I want to be with you more. ((motto isshouni itai desu, literally I want to be together with you more))"
((omg, this proooooooves she didn't just like Zack, but she flat out is basically in love with him). take that cloudxaerith fans))

Putting the letter back in his pocket, he tells Cloud, "Hey Cloud, I have to return to Midgar." Zack turns around and faces Cloud, "You'll come with me, right?"

As night falls, they try to escape the village. ((If you guys are wondering about the emails from Kanseru, they're all the same. He's really worried about Zack and is wondering what happened and wants him to get in contact with him asap.)) After defeating more soliders, he helps Cloud up, telling him to hang on. While walking outside the village, Zack stops and says, "Damnit! This is endless." He then sets Cloud down to the side and tells him that he's going to scout the ahead.

Reaching the shore, Zacks stands at the water's edge and stares out onto the moonlit ocean. He lets out a long sigh, "i wonder what should I do from now on? Since Cloud is with me, I can't do anything too reckless...Angeal, what should I do?"

Someone sneaks up behind Zack, but does a very bad job of it. Zack hears the footsteps across the sand, and says, "Hey Cissnei. It's been a while." She stands up, and in a quivering voice, afraid of the answer, she asks, "Zack...The escape samples...that was you?" Zack, with his back still facing her, answers, "That's how it is." Cissnei asks, "Just what did they do to you in that laboratory?" Turning around, he says in a casual tone, "Well, various things," turning around to face her completely, he continues, "Hey Cissnei, did you come to take us back?"

She looks away, afraid to look into his eyes, afraid to answer him. Zack suddenly implores her, "Please! Let us escape! If it's the military, I believe we can escape from them. But it'll be much harder if it was the Turks." With tears welling up in her eyes, she tells him, "Zack...I'm sorry..." She draws her weapon, "This is my mission. If you want to escape, you'll have to..." She looks down for a second, not wanting to finish the sentence, then, she throws her chakram at him. Zack quickly draws his sword and deflects it.

Cissnei walks towards Zack, but he points his sword at her, saying, "Stay back. If you come any closer, I'll realy...: Cissnei faces expressses the sorrow overcoming her as she hears these words. Zack escapes, leaving Cissnei crying on the sands of the beach.

Zack heads back to Cloud, and informs him, "The military and the Turks are here. If we move now, it'll be dangerous. Let's rest here until morning. As soon as day breaks, we'll head out," now with a smile, he says, "Well, let's take our time."

Zack hears someone approaching, and turns around, seeing that it's Cissnei. He draws his sword as she comes closer. She glances past him, and is surprised to see Cloud, "That boy, if I'm right, he was recovered with you back in Nibelheim." Zack moves backwards to cover Cloud, "Why did you come? I told you to stay away." Cissnei says, "His condition is strange. What's wrong with him?"

Zack, still covering Cloud, tells her, "It's Mako poisoning. And on top of that, it's severe." Cissnei, further saddened by the news, looks away, "It's because of the experimentation, right?" Zack frankly tells her it's true. She now pulls out her cell phone and makes a call. Zack tries to stop her, but she puts up her hand to silence him. Once the call connects, she speaks, "Tseng, the target has escaped." She hangs up and turns back towards Zack, telling him, "And that's how it is. Do your best to escape."

She starts to walk off, but stops when Zack thanks her. She turns back around and tells him, "I have a present for you. If you believe in me, please take these," and she walks up to him, handing him her dog tags. She forces a smile, then walks away.

If my boyfriend was constantly getting called away to work to the point that he could barely talk with me, then yes, I'd want to be with him more too. Cloud held up his tough guy exterior but Aerith was able to see through it--and she wanted to know what else was there.

Both Zack/Aerith and Cloud/Aerith were cut fairly short, (though it seems Cloud/Aerith got far more time--they actually got their date! XD ) but it seems to come out the same: Aerith loves Cloud. More than she ever loved Zack.

Go figure. :whistle:

However, he does know the language, and I suspect that "I want to be with you more" has a nuance that gives it a slightly deeper meaning in Japanese than it does in English. ^_^

I was expecting more Sephiroth, so what I've seen so far is kinda disappointing. Maybe more of his personality will come out by watching him in action. I really hope someone will post screencaps of when he smiled! (And this is the problem with working off second-hand info: I can't quite see his transition from sane, seemingly well-behaved SOLDIER to Nibelheim madman. It actually feels kinda rough and disconnected. :/)

Oh, and I agree with Oddish, the Zeris scenes scream fluff! I don't think anyone can accuse Cleris of being the only fluffy pairing in FFVII anymore. XDDD

I do think she meant that romantically, but yeah... If some fans want to believe that first loves = true loves, go right ahead. The character's own actions and words obviously don't mean anything. :rolleyes:

Guys...I can only tell you that past is past. Things change. I will admit that Zack & Aerith's relationship is really love, but Aerith however did move on because she never saw Zack again, and found a new love (read MoTP) to Cloud. What matters now is whom Aerith is in love with now. And MoTP just clarified that.

The translator did note us that his translation wasn't 100% perfect. Plus, it is fan-made.

On the other hand...I think their relationship was so sweet!!! The whole pink-ribbon thing is just cute! *runz away*

Actually, that line is like her "I want to MEET you" line. A better way to express that sentence would be "I want to to spend MORE time with you," which somewhat implies she wants a deeper relationship with him (this is a subtle thing, not common in Western culture); therefore, Aerith was indeed deep in love with Zack, and she wanted their relationship to last. All the same, CC is still the past, and what she told Zack in MoTP still stands.

After they escaped, zack said to cloud:

I find Zeris completely adorable. It's only the obnoxious Anti-Cleris fans that make me want to pluck out my hairs, but deep down, I truly adore them. Not as much as Cleris of course, nooo way, but God damn! I've seen the videos on youtube and awwwhhhhhh. <333

Zack hijacks a motorcycle, and as he rides across the bridge with Cloud in the passenger seat, he exclaims, "Shinra products are the best!" However, he sees some Genesis copies standing on top of the structural supports, "Tsk, those guys are still around!?" He brings the motorcycle to a stop, and walks towards them. Suddenly, someone kicks him from behind, sending him into the ground. He looks up to see Genesis descending from the sky. The Genesis copies quickly grab his arms and suppress him. Zack asks Genesis, "What is it!?" Pulling on his hair, Zack yells at them, "That hurts! Stop pulling on my hair!"

Genesis walks towards Zack, quoting the same passage from Loveless, that he did to Sephiroth "When the battle of the beasts brings about the end of the world, the Goddess will return, descending from the blackened sky, spread her wings of light and shadow, and lead us to eternal bliss.with 'offerings to the dead.' "

One of the Genesis copies holds up his hand, and Zack glances over to see his hair, "My...my hair!?" Genesis, with apple in his hand, explains, "I heard that you were being used in Hojo's experiments. You inherited Jenova's strength which was manufactured for use in Project S."

Zack, finally understanding, "Is..is that what happened!?" Genesis gives the signal, and the Genesis clone holding the strands of his hear consumes them. Zack looks up, disgusted, "Are you serious? You're ate my hair?" Genesis explains further, "This hair that I've taken is the 'Gift of the Goddess.' With this, I will stop my deterioration. "

Zack frees himself from the copies, or rather, they let Zack free himself, Zack proceeds to tell Genesis, "You...are really weird." To this, Genesis replies, "As long as I obtain the monster's cells, the rest is of no importance." Offended, Zack retorts, "The one who's the monster is you!" Genesis just quotes Loveless again, "Success in this crucial talk. Your sacrifice. The end of the world." He starts walking away while still quoting Loveless, with Zack following him now, "Crossing over the water's surface which is unknown to man, the five virtues of the wind, leniently/slowly, certainly" ((if this is confusing, read it this way: The five virtues of the wind blowing over the suface of the water which is unknowon to man, blowing leniently, certainly)) Finishing reciting the prose, Genesis takes off along with one of the copies, however, the other copy, the one who ate the hair, grabs his throat in pain, collapses to the ground, and a massive energy build up explodes from his body. The copy emerges as a transformed monster.

Mako energy escapes from the defeated monster's body as Zack walks away, sheathing his sword. He looks up at the sky, and asks, "Angeal, just what should I do?" He climbs into the motorcycle, and before taking off, he looks and Cloud and says, "Right?"

After driving for a while, Zack stops and says, "Huh? Huh huh?" He turns towards Cloud, "Cloud, I, I've returned to the country side! This place...is Gongaga!"

Stopping on the outskirts of his hometown, he says, "I don't think I can return afterall. They'll definitely be waiting for us." He tells Cloud to wait here for a bit, adding, "I'm a bit worried about my mom and dad. I wonder if mother is healthy? Even though it's dangerous, I'm still heading into the village, huh?"

As Zack heads closer to his town, Cissnei shows up behind him, startling him. She tells him, "Geez, Your actions sure are carefree. ((not sure how to translate her second line, something about imagination and hometown, I think she's confirming that they're waiting for him inside))"
Zack just says, "Hmph." Cissnei continues, "You wanted to meet your parents, right?" Zack, "I'm sorry for wanting to. It's normal, isn't it?" Cissnei simply says, "I see." Zack knows she's right, and tells her, "Well, you know, it was pretty thoughtless of me, just as you said. We'll be leaving"

She tells him, "Be careful. You have to exercise more caution than usual. Other than you, seems like there was one other person who came to this village." His curiosity piqued, he asks, "Who?" Cissnei tells him that it was Angeal. Hearing this, Zack looks off to the side, saying "I see..." Cissnei, confused by his reaction, says, "You see? You defeated him, didn't you? Aren't you surprised?"

Zack responds, "The reason we were able to escape from Shinra mansion....was probably because of him." Cissnei, now understanding his lack of surprise, says, "I see. So the eye witness accounts were true." Now, it's time for Zack to not understand something. He asks her, "But why did he come to Gongaga?" Cissnei provides him with the answer, "He wanted to see you. Is there any other reason?" Zack suddenly looks around in the sky and shouts, "If you're here, run away Angeal! The Turks are on the look out."

Cissnei, giving him some time to escape, tells him, "I'll give you only 10 minutes. After that time is up...I'll be returning to the Turks." Zack, confused, asks for clarification, "Returning?" Cissnei turns away, "Right now....don't worry about that. I can't bring myself to give your parents sad news about you ((not sure about this))." Zack, puts his hands on his hip and asks her, "My parents....what should I do about them?" Cissnei says to him, "There's no need to worry. Since it's come to this, I told asked them can't a fiance come visit? ((not sure about this either)) "

Zack, his mood lightened, says, "What's up with that?" Cissnei says, "You have good parents. They're very healthy." Relieved, Zack says, "I see. It's good that they're healthy." Cissnei comments, "Truly." Zack turns around and asks her, "What about yours?" Cissnei, gloomily tells him, "I was raised in Shinra my entire life." Realizing he touched upon a touchy subject, Zack feels bit awkward now. To break the tension, he says, "Hey, Cissnei. Won't you...come talk with my parents from time to time? ((not sure on this))" She smiles at him, and in a cheerful tone says, "I guess so, I'll take care of them." Zack, in a better mood, says, "Well, I don't know if you really told my parents that you were my fiance or not..." With a smile on her face, she walks by him and teasingly tells him, "I really told them." Surprised, Zack says, "Hey! Why'd you tell me that? Cissnei!" As she's walking away, Cissnei tells him, "That's not my real name. Hey, you've only got 5 minutes left."

Zack looks at something off in the distance, and notices that it's a wing, "Angeal? I knew it, it is you after all!" The winged person flies off. Zack yells after him, "Wait!" but the person was already gone. He then says to himself, "It was Angeal afterall...guess I have to check it out now." Up at the cliff overlooking the village, he sees someone with a white wing; however, as he gets closer, the winged person flies away. Zack yells for him to wait, but as soon as he does, two Genesis copies descend in front of him." Zack says, "What is this?" One of the Genesis copies responds, "......The S....Cells..." Zack tells them that he doesn't have anything. After defeating them, more copies, followed with a voice claiming, "His cells will be very helpful!"

Hollander descends from the sky, bearing a similar yet smaller wing as Genesis, along with the same deteriorating condition. He tells Zack, "In the first place, you were a Soldier to begin with. The structures of the cells are already deteriorating." Zack, feeling sorry for Hollander, says, "Hollander, you did this to yourself?" Hollander responds, "Yes, I couldn't let Genesis kill me. In order to survive, there was no other choice. Genesis' cells...are a little...you know". It dawns on Zack what was happening to him, "You're....deteriorating." Holland confirms it, "Quite so. But, I'm not disappointed at all." Genesis beigns to speak, " 'The Goddess's gift'....As long as we have the genuine S cells, the likes of deterioration means nothing/isn't a problem." Zack, confused, asks, "Genuine?" Genesis continues, "You, escaped along with someone else, right?"

Zack, trying to protect Cloud, tells him, "No." Genesis, knowing the truth, says, "There are two fugitives. One ex-Soldier and an ordinary one." Hollander jumps in, "And that ordinary soldier, posses the last of the genuine S cells." With that, they fly off, but Genesis remains. Zack tries to follow, but Genesis stops him, asking, "Do you know the relation of the final phrase in verse 4 of the last chapter?" Obviously, Zack says, "How would I know?" Genesis quotes it, ""Success in this crucial talk. Your sacrifice. The end of the world," he continues with another passage, "When the battle of the beasts brings about the end of the world, the Goddess will return, descending from the blackened sky, spread her wings of light and shadow, and lead us to eternal bliss.with 'offerings to the dead.' " Zack, thinking about these things, answers, "Things such as sacrifice, the end, it's too damn depressing."

Geneses, disappointed in Zack, tells him, "Not understanding these poems...is the poisoning of your soul. Well, don't force yourself. Even I, sometimes don't understand it myself. The greatest puzzle in order to obtain the 'Goddess' Gift'...is the "water's surface"...and finally, arriving in the 'Lifestream' after a long struggle. Within the lost final chapters there exists various dismissals. However, the only correct one...is my interpretation." Holding out the apple, he contines, "I will show you that proof."

Annoyed, Zack tells him, "Don't think about things that's not even worthwhile." He dives at Genesis, but only manages to grab the apple as Genesis flies away. Genesis leaves Zack with these words, "You'll understand it soon enough." Now by himself, Zack says, "Cloud's in danger. I have to return to the Mako reactor. I've gotta hurry."

Back at the abandoned Mako reactor, he sees Hollander moving in towards Cloud. He shouts for Cloud to run, but Cloud is still out of it. Just then, a person with white wings comes flying down and tries to fights the Genesis copies, but is knocked downed by Hollander. The three of them gang up on him, but Zack joins in the fight. Hollander, seeing Zack, decides to run away. Zack gives chase. Catching up to him,Zack tells him, "The things that I can do, I'll do them!"

After a weird fight, Hollander is defeated and dies, evaporating into Mako. He returns to Cloud and Angeal. Upon entering his site, Angeal says, "It's been a while, hasn't it?" They both laugh, and Zack says, "What was up with this? Getting hurt like that?" Sitting on the floor, catching his breath, Angeal responds, "I can't fight like a 1st class. I'm an Angeal copy." Surprised and confused, Zack says, "Copy?" Finally regaining his strength, the Angeal copy stands up, and confesses, "I'm Lazard"

After explaining things to Zack ((off screen)), Zack asks, "So the one that was taken away by Holland erwas you? Why did he do such a thing?" Lazard tells him, "For the sake of revision, I needed Hollander's power." Zack tells him, "You choose the wrong person to be your friend, didn't you?" Lazard, now sitting on the floor, agrees, "Seriously. I never thought that I would be turned into a copy with Angeal's cells ((I guess copies aren't really clones. They're regular people injected with someones cells, which then alters their appearance to look like the original cell provider, and also have their abilities to a certain extent.))" Zack, still holding the apple, tells him, "Be happy. You're of direct descent from Project G." Lazard, putting his hand on his knee, says, "It's a mysterious feeling. I was a failure in life. I even forgot all about the revision. Instead, I wanted to help you guys...I wanted to save Genesis....No, it was was a much bigger feeling...Yes..I wanted to save the world..."

Zack walks away for a few steps, apple still in hand. He draws his sword, then turns around and says to Lazard, "Even if it's mysterious, it's harmless," letting out a chuckle and holding the sword straight up into the air, "Because, that is Angeal."

Lazard says, "Genesis is always searching for the 'Goddess' gift'. But just what is it? ((sorry, didn't catch the next part that he said.)). Zack tells him, "I was speaking with him before, but I just don't understand him at all. What should I do?" Looking to the side, Lazard says, "Angeal will guide us...I wonder?" Lightheartedly now, Zack says, "I see. I guess he will, Executive Manager." Lazard, "Hmph, Executive Manager, huh?" Changing the subject, Lazard asks, "Hey Zack, what is your dream?"
Zack: "Hmm, that's right. It's to become a hero."
Lazard: "For someone without a wife, that's a good dream." ((unsure))
Zack goes over to Lazard and extends his hand: "What are you saying? Lend me your power. Along with Angeal. If we accomplish it for everyone, we'll be heroes. At the very least, I'll be recognized." He smiles down at Lazard, who smiles back and asks him, "Then Zacks, do you know where Genesis is?" Looking at the apple in his hand, it hits him. He shows the apple to Lazard, who says, "I see."

Lazard: "Stupid Apples don't grow only in Banoora"
Zack: "Why that again?"
Lazard: "It seems there's a cause for the corroded soil in Banoora"
Zack, arriving in his motorcyle, stopes and gets off: "Genesis is always walking around holding that Stupid Apple. It would've been better if I had noticed earlier." He walks into the destroyed town, stating, "....this place has really changed." Lazard flies in, holding his side, and landing a bit roughly. Zack asks him, "Can you take care of Cloud?" Lazard tells him okay. Off to the side, Zack notices a huge Mako glow, "Hmm...what's that?"

Walking towards it, Zack descends down into the crater below. At the bottom, he sees a tunnel, "So this was here. Where does it lead to?" Inside the tunnel he comes across shelf with many trophies, along with a table with a book on it. Picking it up, he reads, "Banoora-White-Juice. National agricultural contest - manufacturing department - Most Valuable Player," he then comments, "Amazing. The person who came up with this juice is Banoora's Genesis when he was just a child. Amazing amazing." He continues to read Genesis' comment, "I'm really happy. It's not only just drinkable as a juice, it's also really delicious if you eat it. My dream is to one day, with my parents, give one of these apples to Sephiroth the hero. I want to show my success/results to Sephiroth, who's the same age as me." Somewhere in the distance, Zack is disturbed by a roar, "Genesis...is there something that only I can do?"

Inside the cave, after collecting all the Goddess materias, Zack opens the gate to Genesis, and steps through. Genesis greets Zack with another passage from Loveless, "My soul obsessed with revenge. The end of suffering...the struggling desire....Along with my salvation..." He turns and faces Zack, "You're late." Zack walks towards him, " 'Loveless' again?"

Genesis, his hair completely white now, says, "You...succeeded Angeal...inherited a part of Sephiroth. Fulfilling a meeting with a close friend is what it is. Here...lies the revival of "Loveless." Zack disagrees with him, "You're wrong! Open your eyes, Genesis!" Genesis just stares at him, before quoting again, "When the battle of the beasts brings about the end of the world..." Zack, placing his hand over his chest, tells Gensis, "I came here to save you!" Genesis continues, "The Goddess will return, descending from the blackened sky, spread her wings of light and shadow, and lead us to eternal bliss.with 'offerings to the dead.' "

The giant orb behind him starts to glow, and Zack, staring up at it, asks, "What is that!?" Gensis explains to him, " 'The Goddess' Gift'...a mystery born from the nature of Banoora" Confused, Zack asks, "Wasn't the Gift suppose to be the cells?"
Genesis: "There are many interpretations."
Zack: "I just don't get it."
Genesis: "The feelings that surround you, itself, is also a gift/treasure. Everyone, let's return to the stars. Of course..you also...Now, I will receive the divine protection of the stars."

Genesis raises his sword up as it glows, and absorbs the energy from the orb. Zack tries to talk some sense into him, "Listen to me some more! Don't cast aside my words! Don't become a monster!" Genesis, still absorbing the energy, ignores Zack's word. Leaving him with no other choice, Zack draws his sword, and rushes into battle screaming, "You idiot!"

((during the fight, i got three aerith's, and i got a scene i never got before. here it goes))
Zack: Hey Aerith, do you wanna make a definite promise for when we meet?"
Aerith: A promise for when we'll see each other again?
Zack: No, the promise we'll make is "A promise for the time we see each other again." Such as, Aerith wearing pink clothes or something.
Aerith: Hehe. That's silly/What kind of request is that? (nani sore?)

Wow, I never expected that. I'm so glad I decided to fight him again. Because of that, I was able to get this scene. So, the reason Aerith wears all pink clothing is because Zack suggested it))

After defeating the giant monstrosity that Genesis had become, ((which I thought looked really cool, he was like a giant red knight.)) he reverts back to his original form, quoting Loveless yet again, "My soul obsessed with revenge. The end of suffering...the struggling desire....Along with my salvation...Your peaceful slumber" Zack thinks about his words for a second, then realizes something, "It can't be...From the very beginning you..."

Genesis gives him a half smile, then raises his sword towards Zack, and tries to slash him but Zack easily dodges it. Genesis, in a menacing tone, tells Zack, "Fight me. 1st Class Soldier Zack!" Zack, annoyed himself, says, "This guy..that guy...whoever..they all force me against my will." He draws his sword again. Staring at each other, the final battle begins.
