Awesome! I was contemplating buying the 10th anniversary potion for the booklet, but I saw it going for like $60 or something so I decided to pass. Maybe I'll snatch it up on eBay, if someone puts it up.

Well, I think that has more to do with the fact that the ending featured the PS3 opening demo, which means Cloud and Aerith.

Yeah...I swear I cried buckets when she died in the original game. :cry:

And considering CC only came about because fans screamed loud enough for it, I could see SE doing a remake. I mean, I'd assume they'd make tons of money from it, so why not? :lol:

I'm actually starting to think that they will do a remake. Oh well, for better or for worse, I guess I support it. Though I'm sure it will be for the better, right? Just HOPEFULLY they won't add or change anything! ^_^ They'll obviously get more $$ since it's only the original beauty with incredibly kickass graphics (upgraded!).

I was so little when I first saw Aerith die. Everytime I thought of her at any random moment, I just started feeling really emotional and started tearing. But you should've seen the first time--my brother and I were crying so hard, we found it hard to move on. And damn, it even got to my BROTHER. He even said, "Man, why couldn't Yuffie die or something?!" (He wasn't serious, but he was just missing Aerith. He doesn't hate Yuffie. :lol: It's weird 'cause he didn't really seem to like Aerith in the beginning... more like he didn't care at all.) Imagine how much sadder it will be in the remake if they make one. ;_;

Awww....TS, your brother was crying? That's sweet. It just shows how much Aerith's death affected players.... and how bad a damn mistake they made by killing her!! :angry: I love Aerith so much...

But anyway, as long as SE doesn't, and I mean doesn't, screw with the canon events in the game, then I'm all for a remake. Just thinking of all the Cleris scenes in the game in updated graphics gets me pumped.

I want that book too...But what do you do with that potion? :blink: Sit and stare at it? Drink it?

The creators of the potion said they wanted it to taste like "Sephiroth" or something like that. xD I heard it has dolomite as an ingredient (I'm just thinking of Futurama's Bender now lol)?

God, I remember the first time I played FFVII, and when Aer-chan died, I felt really choked up and couldn't even play the game for a while afterwards. I just shut off my PlayStation. It was horrible enough with them looking like Lego blocks, seeing that scene redone with awe-inspiring graphics (and I'm in the majority of the people who DO want a remake) would just kill me. :sad:

I would personally kill for a remake. I don't take FFVII as serious as some people so it isn't hard to please me. The cut scenes of CC are absolutely gorgeous and it would make me faint to see all of FFVII integrated into beauty like that.

I know they wouldn't change anything that alters the story so I don't care about WHUT IF THEY CHANGE SUMTHING. If they do change tiny details, so what? They obviously weren't important enough to keep. I just want a new playing experience with one of the most fun games ever. I want it to breathe new life and a remake would help FFVII do exactly that.

Video games shouldn't be taken THAT seriously. We play them for fun. D:

I can't imagine them leaving in every little detail from the original Final Fantasy VII game (there are people who seriously want EVERYLITTLEDETAIL!!!! left in unchanged in PS3 graphics). Some of the slapstick and more "crude" humor (toilet guy in Costa del Sol) worked so well cos they looked like kubricks. Dunno how well it would convey itself in PS3's hyper-detailed world. I don't think I'd find a fully 3-D, realistic-looking guy taking a shit very humorous. :lmao: As long as they keep in the spirit and don't make any major changes to the story, I'll be very happy.

I would, however, sell my first born child to see Cloud in drag trying to infiltrate Don Corneo's mansion.

I actually see RPGs as if I'm reading an interactive book. There's a beginning, an end, and all these characters taking the story to that direction. Instead of turning a page, I'm holding a controller.

I'll be unhappy with the changes on FFVII as much as, say, someone re-writing Lord of The Rings to include battle ready elf-female rangers whom one of them Aragorn befriended in the outskirts of Gondor who happens to be Legolas' fiancee while he and Galndalf were looking for Gollum. Did it derail from the plot even if it did? No. But additions like that will irk me immensely.

It can't be helped if FFVII gets retconned... too many OCs are implemented in the Compilation so they must be mentioned, at least. I'm not looking forward seeing Genesis and the DG and Turk peeps.

I guess the plus side in all of this is that the Compilation canonizes Yuffie's existence and importance. Too many times, I've read people complaining she doesn't belong to AVALANCHE because her story isn't as important as Vincent's.

Love the collage of scenes for the FFVII page and, of course, Aerith's gorgeous full face. I'm throwing in the towel and admitting a remake is not an "if", but a "in-freaking-development right now". Either that, or an EC is the next part of the Compilation, to tie up the Genesis plotline with tons of pretteh FFVII flashbacks.

I think movies/games/books/etc. are usually created with the intent to stir all kinds of emotions in a person. Just because people can sometimes get emotional with this kind of thing doesn't mean they're taking it too seriously or anything like that. I think it's a pretty normal thing...that is, as long as they're not taking it to the extreme (hurting people, etc). Even if it is just a book or a game, there's nothing wrong with being irked or annoyed with it. *shrugs*

I'm so happy that SE is finally revealing her face to her fans. I seriously want SE to complete that half-face shot of Aerith, the one where she's standing back to back with Cloud in the flowerfield. I mean, even without the full face there, she was already so pretty. Just imagine seeing her full face! :fangirl:

Maybe it's talking about the dating mechanism. No worries, images relevant to Aerith are especially close to Cloud.
