I say pair Tifa up with Vincent. Vincent lost Lucrecia, and she's never going to come back. He was desperately in love with her, but she took off with Hojo.

She's patient, and Vincent needs someone patient. She doesn't show her emotions easily, which would suit Vincent well. I think they look good together, too.

You saw that screenshot of them together, too... that's GOT to mean something! :lol: Let's marry Tifa off to Vincent so she won't bother Cloud any more! :lol:

Ooohhh, it's GOTTA be Barret! Really, I think these two are as sweet as Cloud and Aeris! They're so comfortable together, and you definatly get to see a softer side of Barret around her. Plus, he protects her, and gets jealous of Cloud! They have a mutual love of Marlene, and she sees Tifa as kind of a mother figure, and since Barret's her papa it'd be PERFECT!

I always thought Barret had a thing for Tifa, too! Besides all that you mentioned, he said something to her like, "You're some kinda lady, Tifa". Barret was pretty frantic about rescuing her from that gas chamber in Junon, too. And you're right... he did seem jealous of Cloud at times! Yeah, I see definite potential there. :rolleyes:

As for Barret... er... no... I always thought of him as a father-figure to Tifa. And Vincent... um... no, again... I don't think Vincent would ever love anyone else but Lucrecia. And, since Lucrecia is still alive (right?), why would he want to move on with anyone else? Vincent would never look right with ANYONE on his arm, except Lucrecia. They just belong together. They are both overwhelmed by guilt and sadness. They need to heal together. :wub:

:lol: I like BarretxTifa very much! Barret didn't seem like Tifa's father figure to me. He was too distant for that, most of the time. Barret has two obvious soft spots, though. One is Marlene, and the other is Tifa. I think he's definitely interested... I'm not sure that he would take the first step, though.

Vincent is obviously still in love with Lucrecia... however, Lucrecia rejected him. Vincent offered her a what looked like an engagement ring, and Lucrecia turned him down. Next we see her, she's kissing Hojo right in front of Vincent, and then we see her pregnant with Hojo's child. When Vincent found her in the cave beneath the waterfall, Lucrecia told him to stay back. She didn't even ask how he was. The love was not reciprocated between Vincent and Lucrecia, so there's nothing for Vincent to wait for. IF he were able to get over Lucrecia, Tifa would be far better for him than Yuffie.

Eh, it's all just for fun, anyway, and getting Tifa away from Cloud!!! She can end up with Mukkie, for all I care. :lol:

As for Lucrecia in the cave under the waterfall, it was really her. She hadn't been able to die because of the Jenova cells in her. We also don't know whether she died, or whether she just left the cave before Vincent returned.

After all, they do complement eachother very well. Both Tifa and Cloud are little angst balls when you get down to it. The two of them together would be...eh. But! Reno is very outgoing, like Aeris was to some degree. And Reno visists bars a lot, and Tifa owns a bar...

It's a match made in Heaven I tell you. My favorite couple, besides CloRith of course.

You do make a good point. Tifa and Reno do complement each other almost like Aerith and Cloud. Cloud/Tifa just DOESN'T work. They are both clammed up so tight against the outside world, they would never get ANYWHERE with each other. :lol: Aerith was the one to break down Cloud's walls and she is the ONLY girl for him. I think Reno could be the one to unlock Ms. Lockhart's heart.

I actually read a great fanfic one time where Tifa got together with Sephiroth! :lol: I read it ages ago, so I don't remember it well... but Sephiroth was secretly hidden away in a home in Icicle Village, and you didn't find out til the end of the story that Tifa lived there with him. When she comes home at the end of the story, you find out that Tifa and Sephy are now in love. :lol: I loved it!

I support the theory that Tifa was attacted to the Zack in Cloud!!!!
Tifa wanted someone strong, needed someone who she could lean on, who would love her, support her, and protect her. That was Zack, not Cloud. Cloud needed the same things Tifa did, but only Zack and Aeris could do those things. TifaxZack's always made sense to me.

Loz x Tifa in my opinion would be the most interesting. This is Square's opportunity to do something different. Having one of the bad guys fall for his enemy would, I think, for most people be an unexpected twist. I also like Tifa x Reno, a lot. They look good together. Tifa x Vincent works too, but I can also imagine how it might be riddled with travesty, and Tifa doesn't need that. Tifa x Rude, ...mreh, okay I guess, but putting shy, quiet Rude with shy, quiet Tifa? She's not that shy, but I don't know... I don't see that couple happening. Tifa x Rufus would be awesome though.

I'm gonna have to agree with Anastar and Sefie about TifaXBarret. From the very beginning of the game, the first time I played it, I got the distinct impression of undertones between Tifa and Barret. Even though it seemed that Cloud and Tifa may have had some sort of a past (and possibly still some romantic tension), it seemed as though there was something more explicit going on between Square's answer to Lara Croft and everyone's favorite Mr. T clone. Perhaps it was the combination of their mutual association with Marlene, the fact that Tifa was always trying to be the apologist for Barret to Cloud, that Barret was the one to pull her to safety after the Air Buster disaster (and hold her in his arms), as well as those "Tifa, you some kinda lady..." type statements Barret keeps making throughout the game. Dunno, seemed like a logical conclusion to me. It's too bad Square didn't incorporate Barret into a "love polygon"... that could have really added a whole other dimension to an already intricate and involving storyline... although the fact that you could take him on a date at the Gold Saucer was interesting... hmm... :lol: :rolleyes:

Honestly, if I were to matchmake Tifa with someone, I'd rather that person be Vincent. As Barret had a wife called Myrna and has Marlene to worry about, but it would be interesting to see if he and Tifa got together (since Tifa does help look after Marlene).

I've seen quite a number of people pairing up with Tifa, including Sephiroth. I don't mean anything but, I think the Sephiroth x Tifa pairing is actually not bad. She wanted a hero, and Sephiroth is the role model of every soldier (well, before he turned bad) and the best there was. But I'd prefer Tifa to be with Vincent.

Then there's Zack, remember, when they went to Gongaga village? If we had Tifa and Aerith in the party, both would run out the house when Cloud talked to Zack's parents. It was like something clicked between her and Zack despite Zack being Aerith's first love.

But I dunno, I think Tifa may prefer Zack (if he was still alive) to Vincent, Barret and Sephiroth.

Anyway... these are just my views, but if I were to pick, my first choice would be with Vincent, followed by Zack, Sephiroth and then Barret. :unsure:

Lately I've begun to support Tifa and Zack too. But the image of Zack's changed in my mind, and now I just think he's a jerk. Tifa wants a cool hero, and Zack could be that. Maybe something DID click between the two, but I think that if something did, it was just Zack being flirty. Maybe he flirted with Tifa, and she took it to be genuine.
Aeris said that Zack was a real lady's man, meaning he was a big flirt. He just sounds like a player now, and I hate those.
But Barret really respects Tifa, and I still think that's the best match for her. He's sane(unlike Sephiroth and Vincent), doesn't want to kill her(like Sephiroth and Loz), actually cares for her and knows her(unlike Sephiroth and Zack), and they have something in common:their love for Marlene. I think they're a perfect couple, and nobody can convince me otherwise!

I don't really know, if anyone in the game is suitable for Tifa. You might think I'm crazy, but personally, I think Barret, if their ages weren't so far apart. Barret definately needs someone calm, and a think-before-you-speak person next to him at all times. They've been through a lot together, and they care for each other.

Hmm... another thing I learned in my religion is that in love age doesn't matter. For instance, my ancestor's wife was 20 years older than he was and they loved each other dearly.
So age is not really a factor here, as love comes and goes mysteriously.

By the way, I don't think you're crazy. If my brother and his friend hadn't told me off all those years ago, I'd still have thought that Barret and Tifa were married.

Well it could be possible. And I think it would be possible simply because of Marlene. Tifa has already been taking care of her for a very long time and I think that in some way Marlene could bring those two together and make them see eachother in a different light than they have before. :)
