I don't know if this is in the right section.

Well I had a conversation with my seat mate regarding final fantasy games. We got into the Advent Children topic. Then one of my friend (who sits in front of me) heard the topic and told us her ideas here's what happened in our conversation...

Legend: C&A= me, MF=my friend.

MF: Final Fantasy?! I've watched it! My favorite character is Tifa.

C&A: Oh. (Wanting to ask her about Aerith.) Do have any other favorites aside her?

MF: The girl who live in the clouds.

C&A: Huh!? ....Can you describe her. (I was confused though I think she was referring to Aerith.)

MF: White hair that's super long.

C&A: White hair? (Sepiroth a girl?!).

MF: You know the one whom Cloud loves!

C&A:...(Cloud love Sepiroth?)......(pauses.....thinking..) Ahh!

MF: Yes that one. the one who' dressed in pink!

(She read my mind...Awesome!)

C&A: With a red bolero?

MF: Yes! You got it!

C&A: Really you liked her!? She's my favorite! I really like her! She's so pretty!

MF: yeah!

C&A: Anyway her hair is brown.

MF: Oh. I forgot. haha!


So that's how it end our conversation. I really love it when she said that Cloud love Aerith knowing that she haven't played game. I just noticed I'm so dumb to not figure it out sooner. Every time I think of that conversation I can't help but smile, I'm just too happy!

She's a good observer, right?

lol my nephews actually did think Sephiroth was a girl (it took a lot or persuading to make them think other wise :D)

But thats not the first time i've heard of someone who hasn't played the game say that Cloud loves Aerith just from watching the movie actually my 6 year old nephew said that "the lady with the black hair (obv Tifa) loves Cloud but he doesn't love her" i was like omg how can a six year old figure that out but ppl more than twice his age still don't realise lol, oh and also i didn't throw my oppinions at him i just plain old asked him at the end of the movie who he thinks Cloud loves :D

But Yeah there are definatey alot of ppl that have been introduced to CxA just through the movie which i think is pretty cool :D

Dear C&A: I found it interesting too! Most friends of mine who saw AC without playing FF7 games would also comment that "Aerith is Cloud's love". Hahaha~ :cleris:

Well...not all the same. My male firends mostly prefer Tifa's outlook anyway. <_<

aerithlove527: I kind of notice that too. I made some sort of a survey I asked one of my friends to help. It shows that most of the people who think that Cloud loves Tifa are males and I don't know why. Maybe because of Tifa's appearance (you know...) that attracts men. Though it's obvious who Cloud really loves.

Lol, I love it how all the people who see AC without playing FFVII know that Cloud loves Aeris. Same goes for the KH games

Yeah and some of them are not aware of the love triangle, like my friend. I'm hoping to encounter more of them.

Haha... :lol: my two guy friends have only played the beginning parts of FFVII...but when I showed them AC, when Aerith came on screen they were like, "that's Cloud's girlfriend, right?"

I talked to people who have never seen the movie either and they reacted the same way, that Cloud the girl only seen by him.That's what a friend told me after he had seen the movie, and he only watched it because he liked the cover and the graphics.

And, I am not surprised at all that a six year old can see things like this.Kids are not always Kids, they pay more attention and they're able to see when someone is sad or happy.Simply because they are looking at you more closely than teenagers or grown ups do.
The have a different point of view and see it that way, whereas older people tend to built up stories they want and block things away.

The kids see it more neutrally than ...Cloud&Tifa fans do.They see the small details regarding Cloud and Tifa, while Kids just seem to be more focused on the main character, what he does, what he feels.

lol My friend, who's never played a Final Fantasy game in her life, watched Advent Children with me cos she thought the animation was just beautiful.

She also referred to Aerith as "the woman Cloud loved" and when I asked her why she thought that--as she hadn't played any of the games before and only had the movie to base it on--she said it was cos it seemed that Cloud had been searching for her all this time. xD

Yeah, SE makes all FF7 series independent enough in case new viewers has trouble in understanding the basic story of FF7. People who know nothing about LTD can mainly focus on the interaction among characters, and I love to hear their comment about Cloud's feeling to Aerith. :cleris:

My boyfriend's conclusive comment: "No matter waht's panicing Cloud in the movie, Cloud only shows his soft, bittersweet face during scenes that involve Aeirth."

I make sure that I condition people who haven't played FF7 yet to like CloudxAerith. I know it's a little strange (and maybe a little cruel) to "control" the preferences of people, but I guess my campaign helps. Majority of them are Clerises before they could even play the game, and their preference for the couple becomes stronger after playing the game...

It goes the same to those who haven't watched the movie yet. Haha. It's like selling the idea of CloudxAerith to them. ^_^'

I asked another friend of mine but he hasn't replied yet. He said he'll watch it first (its obvious I'm influencing his mind). For now he's doing some survey about "Cloud's love" but most of the replies were Cloti favor and I hate every time he tell me those stories. To control my temper I'll just answer "Maybe they just don't notice because they like Tifa better and they are thinking Aerith is dead.". Well their reasons are all the same they said it because Aerith is dead and can't be with Cloud, I think that's a lame reason.

My friend watched AC and was completely dumbfounded when I explained everything to her. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING, even the part of Zack and Aeris.
And in the end, she thought about Cloud and Aeris' relationship and said, "how sad..."

I didn't really know if she was interested in Cleris or not.

All I know is that she thought Cloud and Aeris' relationship was a pretty sad one (y'know, Aeris dying and all).

when i watched it with my Dad *you guys have to hear the comments he made* i remember at the ending during Calling when Cloud is riding on his motorbike and then they show Aerith my Dad said Awww!! look hes zooming as fast as he can off into the distance to her!! and then more of his comments about gravity defying hair.. and how Cloud's and Sephiroths swords are so big and long that they must be compensation for something..

You guys are so lucky! T^T Everytime I try to get someone to watch AC, knowing they haven't played the game or even heard of FF7, they end up either falling asleep or playing on their stupid cell phones. <_< I can't get anyone to watch that movie seriously so I can ask them what they thought about it (and who it is they think Cloud loves).

I have showed it to 2 people ho have never played ff7 tought one of them knew a little, also I have tryied to show the movie to a friend but he has done the impossible to not to wach it so ever since then I dont watch the movies he wants me to see.

When I watched AC, my g/f took one look at the tv, during the scene at the end when Cloud sees Aerith... and she said "are you watching a romance movie?"

Of course I denied that and jumped back a few scenes to prove I was watching a movie with death and violence, not romance. Secretly though, I was pleased that she picked up on the romance of the scene.

The day AC was released at my GameStop, I brought three or four or so of my friends over, we sat on the couch, and I squealed and made everybody shut up and watch whenever Cloud and Aerith were on screen. My friends don't care about pairings; just who's hotter than who. So we all get along. :lmao:

Needless to say, with a bunch of teenish kids in the room, a lot of weird jokes were born from that. Such as in the church, with the water droplets...xD "Aquafina. The purest water." XDD WE WERE SUCH FREAKS. <333

When I watched it with my mom, she could tell from Cloud's expression at the end that he loved Aerth. xD <333

I havent played FF7 yet but when I first watched FF7:AC I totally dig Aerith with Cloud!! :D Their scenes are so sweet and she was like so gentle with him. Like she was trying to comfort him...angsty as Cloudykins really is... :lol:

Most of my friends think Aerith is with Cloud, and thinks tifa is Cloud's sister xD

That's a better story than what I hear all the time...

Anyway, I was watching it one day (wow, real informative huh?) and my uncle came into the room. He saw the part with Cloud and Sephy were... you know (I don't want to spoil anyone who hasn't see the movie, and that sounded really wrong). Anyways, he saw that and was like "That guy will go to the ends of the earth for the chick he loves huh?" I paused the movie and asked him who he was talking about and he replied "That girls voice that he always hears." After explaining who he was talking about, I went to a shot where you could see her whole face and he was like "Yeah, she's the one that died during the game and now that dude is looking for her again right?" I nodded in disbelief that a 39 year old (at the time) could get it without playing the games and barely paying attention. I guess he actually paied attention to me playing the games before my PSX broke.

AHH!! how awesome! xD your uncle is the bomb! my uncle and auntie sucks, and my parents even more xD all they care about is buying me the games i want so i'd shut up xD they dont care about the story!!! D;

Mine's the worst. My mom can't stop her bad criticism while my dad always dropped phrases like "Bah! Silly gamers and their romance..." :devil: There's a time when I heard my mom says "Why on earth would he bury the girl in the lake instead of inhumation?"
Then I shut the DVD and never watch it at home EVER.
