The girl is Shisune - a new character featuring in Crisis Core. The scan makes it look like Zack is doing his "Lady's Man Act again" :lol: Perhaps a prelude to Aerith's comment about a guy that's been with so many women :P

Strange, when I saw Shisune in the scans, I first think 'Aerith'. Eh, must be Nomura's design attack.

Tifa...her cowboy (cowgirl?) outfit look different then the original FFVII one. Her top made me think of her FFVII white top with a vest and her skirt seems shorter then I remember. Fanservice much, SE?

Hee, I so can't wait for this game. I want to see/play the Nibelheim flashback in pretty graphics! Zack's looking cute, as always, I have a feeling I'm going to absolutely love him if he exhibits the same playful personality as came across in the trailer and Maiden.

:/ I have mixed feelings now.

My inner self is cringing at yet another display of the Nibelheim incident, but I can see why it's there. It's just... how many times do we have to see it, and from how many viewpoints? I'm just a little tired of it.

And Tifa's outfit. It's radically different from what we see in the FFVII flashback. What was the point in changing it? It looks even skimpier than her other outfits. Death to fanservice, please.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised she's in this game, but I was hoping Aerith wouldn't have to share the spotlight this time.

Zack wearing his swim shorts looks like he belongs in FFX and Tifa... Even more skankish than VII. Guess they're trying to make it seem like her fashion sense got a little more mature as she grew older. CC > VII >AC

As for the game itself. Looks like there's going to be enough story to satisfy me. I'm just hoping that maybe they'll go a bit past Zack's death and we'll see how Cloud was hired into Avalanche and stuff. =)

My thoughts exactly.
CC has the unique advantage of many interesting characters being different than we know them: not-yet-depressed-and-confused-Cloud, not-yet-insane-Sephiroth, not-yet-dead-Zack and of course not-yet-dead-Aeris. I don't hope anymore that SE can handle these things like they should but I'm am lokking forward to every Aeris-minute.

But since the so-often-repeated-Nibelheim-incident is so important for Zacks story I kinda expected to see Tifa there, too.

If SE still cares at all for the FFVII storyline then there is no way, how they could use CC for Cloti (or Cleris). Even though Zack and Cloud were friends, Cloud and Aeris never met at that time and Tifa never knew that Cloud was in Nibelheim during the incident, either. I'm pretty sure SE will make a few near-meetings of these characters but according to the storyline they should not meet.

(However SE could insert a few lines from Cloud about that girl from his hometown who means a lot to him and whom he wants to impress. At that time he was pining after her like crazy, after all)

I don't mind Cloud mentioning Tifa, but, dear God, I sure hope Cloud isn't shown "pining after her like crazy". I never saw that in the original game. :P

Exactly! It's a real bummer they changed it. It sure seemed to me like it was going to reinforce the idea that FFVII's heroine is Aerith.

I'm not surprised at all to see Tifa. I knew she was going to appear. It was only a matter of time. The Nibelheim event is too important for SE to leave out, especially since we're dealing with Zack's story. I'm not worried about this scene though, never really saw the Cloti in it. What I'm more interested in is how Zack and Tifa's relationship will be portrayed in this event. Not particularly fond of Fack, but knowing what a lady's man Zack is, I can't help but wonder. :lol:

For a second, I thought that brunette in swimwear with Zack was Aer-chan as well. It's the face and the fuzziness of the scans. I was thinking her hair looked too short, though.

I hope SE really does keep the original game in mind... I'm a little apprehensive about what CC would show about Cloud and Tifa's relationship - other than Cloud having a crush on her - but I'm trusting SE to do what they planned to do w/o excess fanservice in mind...of course, this is entirely assuming that CloudxAerith is the couple SE had in mind when making FFVII. :whistle:
