I'd personally prefer a sequel, so much can be continued.

*holds up remake protest sign* Enough is enough, SE! Stop milking dear sweet VII. Sure it was a good game but GOD!! I thought AC was silly when the news was released and now all these sequels, prequels, novelas, and books...GAH! If SE remakes VII then I'm boycotting SE if only for myself. I know it won't make a difference but I'm sick of their using VII for money. (Fans, don't be slaves to it. Fight the the power.)

A remake would be nice but do you know what would be better? A flippin' re-release of the original for the PS1! I don't have a copy of the game. I only played it once. My brother borrowed it from someone and I didn't get to finish it! I've been trying to get a copy but Amazon is being stupid and I don't trust eBay. So SE USA should re-release it like SE Japan did in Japan! *holds up a "RE-RELEASE FFVII" sign*

If they're adding new perks to the remake (aside from the fact that the characters are in full CG) like new plot twists, new gameplay styles/options... not to mention more Rufus ShinRa close-ups and more chances to see Aerith's face upclose () then I'm up for a remake. Otherwise... I'd settle with the blocky graphics.

But If they're going to remake the game, which platform would it be for? PS3? PSP? Or will it remain with the classic Playstation?

I'd rather just move on. Cloud, Aeris, Tifa, Sephiroth and the rest hve all had their momnts to shine. Let's see a new world with some new caracters and new plot rather just another rehash or continuation of the old ones.

I personally want both re-release and remake BUT NO NEW CUTSCENES NO NEW STORY NO NEW CHARACTERS JUST THE IMCOMPLETE OLD GAME WITH NEW GRAPHICS and voices thats all I want, cause if they finished the story then it wouldn't be mysterious and open ended anymore and thats one main coponent that makes VII such a great game, anyone agree?

Absolutely. Just the original game with new graphics and some voice actors. No Genesis or Angeal or any of that crap. :veto: Original game only plz.

I think I'm going to have to pass on this one. I'm not willing to shell out $500 for a PS3 and then another $60 for a remake, even with the pretty graphics/voice actors. I just want them to lay FFVII to rest. Sure, some nice merchandise I wouldn't mind now and again, but this is becoming way way WAY too much.

I do admit, that a long time ago I was all gung-ho about getting a remake, but forget it. SE wont do what the fans want with this game, they'll do what THEY want. Which will mean a lot more fuel for the LT, especially when it comes to Nomura.

Mmm... I really doubt if they remake it it'll be just like the original. Since Crisis Core came out you know the secret cinema is going to be altered a bit, especially if it's going to be part of the compilation.

And I wouldn't mind a remake so as long as they don't touch the Love Triangle. Go ahead and create more monsters or add in more weapons, items, materia(Break 9999 damage materia, Ooooooh..), or mini games in Gold Saucer. I'd be glad. Mew characters and/or major storyline changes, I wouldn't really want, but hopefully S-E is smarter than that.

Plus I need a reason other than MGS, FFXIII and VsXIII to get a PS3.

So am I....haven't gathered enough motives for PS3. :puke:

Seriously, I'll be pissed if SE dares to change anything, but I'll be a little disappointed if the battle system/monsters/missions are all the same...(*trapped)
