I agree with you; FFIX was filled with some very touching and moving moments between these two, and I really loved that. Zidane/Garnet is probably my all-time favourite canon coupling (unless Square should decide to canon-ize C/A in AC of course, lol), so I think a club for their beautiful relationship is a great idea! Count me in! ^_^

I really wish that their relationship had gone further and the series had shown them as a couple for a long time in a committed, steady relationship. I wish the series showed them dating as a couple for a long time. I like series that show couples dating and being boyfriend/girlfriend and being in a relationship. They really should have shown them as boyfriend/girlfriend and a couple and dating and in a relationship for a long time in the series.

Let's see...what's my favourite Z/G scene? Well, as they're a hopelessly and beautifully canon couple, there's way too many great scenes to choose from... These two have so many priceless scenes. But right now, I'd pick the FMV of Zidane rescuing Garnet during the destruction of Alexanderia Castle - the way Garnet darts into his arms...too adorable for words... :sad:

My fave's the ending. Watching Garnet leap into his arms with tears in her eyes....and when Zidane throws off his cloak and yells "Bring my beloved Garnet to me!" I went all to pieces! I literally started crying!

Well, she talks about what Zidane did for her, and thanks him. And then she tells everyone good bye, even though they were arriving for the play. To me it really sounds like she was planning to killer herself

My fave scene was when Alexandria was getting demolished by Atoms (or something like that) and Garnet fell to the ground and Zidane did his best to comfort her.
Now that's upcoming love if you ask me.

It was Lindblum that was attacked by Atomos. Alexandria was attacked by Bahamut. :D

I really think that the series should have had Zidane and Garnet get together much earlier, like in the beginning of the series so it would show them dating and being boyfriend and girlfriend and in a relationship. It would have been much better to show Zidane and Garnet dating and in a relationship as boyfriend/girlfriend.

When I said boat, I meant that boat in Conde Peti where they were married. I didn't like that scene very much because Dagger was a bit too cold with him... at least you could hug the guy! :( :lmao:

They should have gotten together at the beginning of the series, they should have gotten together much earlier. It really should have shown them dating and in a relationship and going out and being boyfriend and girlfriend and a couple in a relationship.

It's been years since I've played that game, but thinking back, it's really a shame that this couple wasn't in a relationship. Zidane and Garnet never were shown as a couple, which is sad. They could have had such a great relationship, but the creators decided to throw that opportunity away. They could easily have become boyfriend and girlfriend way back during disc two after he rescued her. They could have started dating way back in disc one when he won that date. They could have hooked up in disc three when he saved her. They could have been boyfriend and girlfriend during the actual game and have been shown to be dating and in a relationship.

Unfortunately, the creators decided to drag things out for too long, and by the time it happened it was too little, too late. Thinking back to it, I'm disappointed that the creators didn't let them date or be in a relationship. They could have gotten married and started dating when they got married. There were just so many times where they could have started dating that there's really no excuse for the creators to drag it out so long.

It would have been much better if they had gotten together early on, as early as disc one and had been boyfriend and girlfriend throughout the entire game, going on dates, being a couple, being in a relationship, balancing out their relationship as a couple. They could have continued to be a couple and struggled with dating while being in different classes. They had so much potential as a couple and could have hooked up early on in discs one and two or three, but they just dragged it out for too long. I'm very disappointed in the company at how they didn't use this opportunity. People would have loved to see Zidane and Garnet dating and being in a mature, yet fun relationship as a couple.

It's a shame, really that they didn't hook them up early on in disc one. It would have been nice to see the relationship evolve and their relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend being put to the test with all the trials they faced.

Well, I thought it was clear that they cared for one another. ^_^ And it was so great when they were reunited, you knew that they would stay together. It's almost like CloudxAerith, if you think about it. Aerith died before she and Cloud really had a chance. And yet, years later, Cloud comes to the realization that Aerith never really left him at all and they are reunited. :D
