Yes, i have been thinking this:

In the Lion King, Simba's father was murdered by Simba's uncle ( the villain of the movie)

In ff7 aeris was murdered by Sephiroth, the villain of the game.

In the Lion king, Simba decide to run, to go very far, he feels guilty because he thought it was his fault is his father was dead. Instead of searching be helped by his friends, or mother, he run.

In Ac Cloud feels guilty about aeris dead...he thinks it was his fault...and instead of wanting to be helped by Tifa and the others he run away...

In the Lion King ,Nala, Simba's best friend and " girlfriend" , encourages Simba to fight, but he dont listen to her. He dont wants to fight..Nala is not enough for him to change his mind.

In Ac, Tifa, Clouds best friend encourage cloud to fight, but this is not enough. Cloud dont listen to her.

In the Lion King, it was a monkey ( i dont remeber his name) who tell Simba his father is alive, Simba know it is impossible but then the monkey will say:

" he lives in you...he is alive.."

So, Simba can see his father because he is still alive inside of him..his father musafa tell his son that he has forgotten about him because he has forgotten that he is the lion king...he tell him that he was to fight...."

In ac, Cloud can see aeris because her consciusness is still alive inside of him...she tells him that he has to forgive himself, because she has never blamed him for anything...

Simba, realice that his father is right, and then he decide to fight. No one knows ( not even nala) why he has changed his mind, it was because his father told him to fight.

Cloud, suddlenly, has again his strenght and wants to fight...because aeris has encourage him to do it...Tifa said that cloud has again his strenght but dont know why....only Aeris has be able to make cloud wanting to fight again.

Simba fights and win, and in the end, he hears his father voice saying:
" Well done...my son..." He has learn to hear his fathers voice inside of him...he knows that his father is proud of him...
And the simba will say GRRRRRRR ( I dont know how to say in english :blush: )

In Ac Cloud defeats sefirot and then, he is happy with the children, his friends....aeris will say:
Now, everithing is alright.."

and cloud will smile, knowing she is right.

your right the two are almost identical good job. and what was that oh right it wasent a monkey it was a baboon what was his name[ponders that for a minute and to lazy to google it] there also similar because even though you know everythings fine, they still make you cry at the end

Yeah, it's true that the two stories are similar. I think someone once said there are only seven stories in the world, but countless ways of telling them. It's like with Inuyasha and Fushigi Yugi. The basic story is very similar - Miaka ends up in Ancient China, Kagome ends up in Feudal Japan, Miaka becomes the priestess of Suzaku, Kagome is the reincarnation of the priestess Kikyo, Suzaku can grant any wish, the Jewel of the Four Souls can grant any wish, Naraku tricked Kikyo into believing that Inuyasha betrayed her, Nagako tricks Yui into believing that Miaka betrayed her.

However, even with these similarities, the storytelling is different. The same can be said for AC and TLK. They are similar, but they are both standalone stories, you can watch both of them without thinking you've seen it all before.
